Thanks Lisa, the Taco Bells in the Ghettos are kinda stingy
with their Salsa but as I go a little further out in the suburbs
those stores have condiment bars and you can help yourself
to as much as you want..in 4 flavors too..I'm thinkin' if all the
Rams members and their friends grab a handful each time they
go, we will have enough Salsa to carry us right thru the 2005
racing season...My question is, how did we ever make it thru
the 2004 season without this life giving substance?

bob

your not very good at choosing nominees. look what happened with the tresurer this year. i don't know it all but i do think i'm capible of being pres. its going to be hard to get things back to normal. but i believe it's worth the try. i mite say what i'd like to see ,but, we all have to still vote on the subject. so what i think means very little untill acted upon by all of us who are at the meetings. we need to get subjects talked about and get them straitened out, we can't keep going over the voting process. i wanted to see duck be pres. but he backed down for his own reasons. some one had to step up so i did, when everyone is at the next meeting, don't just sit there, speek up then, insted of waiting till the next day to grip about it on here. letsb get the boat packed and head to tuna town and get things done., instead of sitting on the shi**er crying because you don't have any tolet paper. :(

hey Phil, can you handle all that salsa?

Wolf I took myself off the ballot because south needs the work of a southerner. I am a northerner. You guys down there need to hash things out to become equal. we already have MCS to race. I dont think I could really do the job from up here, and I dont think I could really give the job 100% attention right now. So instead of totally screwing things up for everybody else I took myself off the ballot.
This class can still be AWESOME!!!!!!!

Duck

You are very right, this class can be awsome, and will. As for those who are bickering and so forth. Whether it be a matter 3 years old, or something that happened yesterday. I have words of wisdom a man once gave me. GET OVER IT!!! I did, and things have been great since...

Seems To Me From These Posts, The Solution Could Be Right In Front Of Ya'! Seems The Wolf Is Eager To Try His Hand At The Position. Duckhunter Is Doing The Same Out His Way. Instead Of Throwing Labels Around, How About A Joint Effort Between The 2.

From What I've Read, Both Guys Are Very Passionate About The Mini-stock Division And The Rams. The Area That Needs To Be Covered Is Quite Big For One Individual To Cover. So There Definitely Needs To Be Two Working Together.

I Think 1 Thing That Needs To Be A Priority Is.... You All Do Not Need Tracks Adding The Mini-stocks If They Are Going To Go In Their Own Direction Rules Wise. Weather They Want To Claim Affiliation With The Rams Or Not Isn't The Main Key. The Main Thing Is They At Least Run The Same Rules. If Tracks Start Writing Their Own Rules, The Mini-stocks Will Be Just Another Division Like The Sportsman And Others. Then You Will Have Tracks Battling Each Other For Car Counts And Someone Will Lose!

Take Doe Run For Example. I Know They Have Mini-stocks. I Know They Aren't Affiliated With The Rams. But, It Would Be In Their Best Interest As Well As The Rams Best Interest To At Least Have Common Rules. Especially Since The Mini-stcoks Are Still In A Growth Stage. There Isn't Hundreds Of Them To Go Around Like There Is In Other Divisions.

Like I Said, I Do Think It Is A Job That Would Require 2 Hard Working, Dedicated Individuals With Desire To See The Mini-stocks Continue What They Have Achieved Thus Far. Duck330 And The Wolf Seem Like Good Canidates..... J/m/o

really...

it will be 3 working togeather me , duck, and shannon the southern vice pres. we need to scheldule the next meeting the weekend after the awards banquet. on the 13th or 14th and at that meeting we will set up having a meeting at or around that same date every month in advance. maybe then people can plan to come. remember it's just a thought!!!!!! :)

I am just going to say...I think if ya,ll dont get your crap together and start getting along ...The RAMS will be a thing of the pass..

Hell I race with a great bunch of guys here and they would do anything for anyone ..And we are not assocaited as a group. And we do alot of thing as if we were a group .
I would say the New president should be a member but not a racer..This way the president is always there and willing to listen and make clear decisions about the group and what happens with the group. someone that loves racing with his/her heart and soul and is a trust worthy and fair person.

Just my 2 cents

I agree...

Stockcargirl, I agree with you COMPLETELY!!!!!!! On ALL the points you made. The RAMS organization has such GREAT potential, but if the members don't quit fueding amongst themselves, it will be a thing of the past.

I also agree that the new President could be someone other than a driver!!!!! I, personally, am willing to run for the position. And, Millsey, I should be a member of the RAMS just anytime.......if we could find the membership cards. I may not be a driver but I have been around racing for as long as I can remember. I am VERY knowledgeable about the sport of racing. I may not know as much as Wolf does about what is under the hood, but that doesn't make me any less qualified for the position. Last I knew, the President didn't have to be a top notch mechanic. I'm not saying I know NOTHING, but I'm always willing to jump right in there and learn. Racing is in my blood. I have a passion for the sport.....you don't have to be a racer to love it that much......despite how some may feel. I guarantee you that I spend more time at a race track during the year than most drivers do. And, I spend more time in the garage than a lot of drivers do.

I realize that there are a lot of RAMS members who have NO idea who I am...and that's a disadvantage for me. I wish I had the opportunity to meet and talk with all of you. I feel that you all would like my personality and see that I am someone who can get things done when I put my mind to it. I want to see the RAMS organization grow.......I remember when this group was full of racers who were actually friends and got along. I wish things could get back to the way when this club first originated. I have thought and thought and thought about this over the past week........reasons I should and reasons I shouldn't run. Please don't think that I have just jumped into this without giving it any thought. I have received encouragement from several people in the racing community (who have been reading things on the internet about this). Many have told me that they feel I should really consider pursuing this further......I guess they thought I was just joking. Well, this isn't a joke. And, LD, I hope my running doesn't make you mad. I know you probably don't want me to, but I feel that I can do a good job for this group. Please don't be mad at me!!!!

Crystal, I think you would make a good president, someday, but not now. You have not had any connections with the RAMS (other than knowing some of the drivers) and you've not seen anything that has gone on within the association other than what you've heard. One of the things I absolutely like about you is your dedication and that is why I think you would make a good president someday. But, right now you are NOT a member, you weren't nominated and I don't think it would be fair to the existing people who are nominated. If you were so interested in the RAMS I wish you would have spoken up sooner. One thing that is a possibilty is the secretary/treasurer job will probably only be taken on a interim basis. Maybe you could join the RAMS and then if and when she would step down (because of another committment) you would be the perfect fill-in candidate. It would get you involved with the association, let you see first-hand what REALLY goes on and not what you've learned second and third hand.

I disagree...........
If I was a male who wanted to run for the RAMS President in my first year of membership, you would be all for it. What I've learned second and third hand has come from the DRIVERS themselves. They aren't happy with what is going on. Nothing against Wolf, but I feel that him being President means he will be pushing for what HE wants, NOT what the group as a whole wants. I have the ability to step back and see things from ALL sides of the story....because I don't have a car. Jeff, how do you feel about the fact that Wolf wants to race at DRR next year and not The Rock???? Does that bother you at all?? Also, I feel that I may be able to bring in some drivers from DRR because many of them "know" me and know what I can do for this racing organization. Funny, I can be treasurer/secretary in my first year, but not President. Hmmmmmmm.....why is that???? But, you're right........I would be good at that too. I'm the type of person that can do ANYTHING if I put my mind to it. I don't like to fail!!!! It's not an option.

Wait!!! No, no, no... You being female has NOTHING to do with it. Hell, I'm going to vote for a female governor (ooopps, I shouldn't have said that). As far as Wolf wanting to go to Doe Run, well that's his opinion. You know Wolf and I have had numerous disagreeances, but he has been a major part of this association since day 1. I nominated Shannon Burch for president, but after he first said he would do it he changed his mind.
Let me put it to you this way, you know how much I respect your knowledge and love for this sport. I also know you will always do what you feel would be best for this association, but I still say it would not be fair and proper to a long-time established member to throw somebody in at the last minute that until a week or so ago had shown no interest at all in the association. Plus, like I said before, you are not even a member and quickly paying a membership due days before an election is just not right. Can you imagine somebody doing that in the national election??
Yes I am leaving the association. I've resigned the post at the end of the year and I've sold my car, but I've sunk my heart and soul into this association and I have to do what I feel is fair and just right down to the final end.

What I really want to say to your last post should not be put on this board because I don't want to run anyone down.....but you know what I'm talking about. This group can grow or it can deminish........in a hurry!!!!! How do you know that I have had no interest in this group until the past week???? In fact, Jeff, I probably went to more of their races this past season than you did. I agree that Shannon would be best suited for the job of President, but I can see why he declined the position. He's the guy that MANY would like to see in the position. He's easy to talk to, well liked, and knowledgeable about the sport. He's been one of the most loyal members!!!!! I'm not going to argue with you, Jeff. It's obvious you DON'T want this to happen. Either way, MY vote WILL count at the RAMS meetings this year. IF they aren't just thrown together at the last minute...........................
