Nominations still open?

It's not that I "don't" want this to happen, I can't see any way possible it could happen. Well, there is one way.....

So, when is the next meeting???? Did I see that it is going to be before the banquet on November 6 at Club 67 at 6pm????? I'll be there!!!!!

MinistockMike, it looks like Wolf will run unopposed. What do you think about that?

Well I am not a member but my thoughts is if I was Dave I would hate to get the position this way. From what I read here(and I might be wrong) this meeting was thrown together at the last minute with a lot of members stating that they wouldn't be able to make it. There might be someone that was not able to attend that might want the position. Some of the guys I have met that are RAMS members that I would think would be good canidates for the job would be Bill Nickelson, Bob Knitz, Jon Reando Sr.

Just to clairify something, this was NOT the only meeting nominations were taken. They were first taken in the SEPTEMBER meeting and then in the OCTOBER meeting. There were two chances to make nominations. And the October meeting WAS NOT thrown together at the last minute. Besides, you don't nominate yourself at a meeting. Somebody has to nominate you and be seconded. Just out of curiosity, why do some of you seem so afraid of Wolf?

Are you asking me if I'm afraid of Wolf? If so no I am not. From what I saw on here some think it is cheesy that he is running unopposed and some think that with how Dave wants to go faster that they think he will try to drive the members to pass stuff that will make this class less afordable if you want to compete.

Here again...Yall are still fighting , now about who will be prez, I say let the entire group vote on it , ALL members , Not just one or two..I think this lady will do a great job. Right now she knows the rams as a group and not personal..I think not knowing alot about it will help her as prez . No favorites , no judgements about anyone in the group. I say she should be put on the ballot and let the WHOLE group decide..I say wolf would not make a good prez because he is a rams member and racer, and at times he will not be able to make clear decisions and he already has his picks among the group .. He is a racer heart and soul and his first priority will be his racing..

I SAY NEW BLOOD FOR PRESIDENT

Right now Mike he is running unopposed. However, you can still "write-in" your vote.
Once again,
I wasn't aware that the ballots had already been printed up.
Who or what determines that the nominations are not still open?
Is that determined by the membership, the President, or is that written somewhere in the by laws? Also, who made the decision about the election and the "brief meeting" before the banquet? 1st I've heard about it..

You're right. I don't give a flying **** if you hold elections or not. I'll just take my sponsor and go elsewhere... Screw this.

Yes I am leaving the association. I've resigned the post at the end of the year and I've sold my car, but I've sunk my heart and soul into this association and I have to do what I feel is fair and just right down to the final end.
I take it from this statement that you are willing to assume the position of President until the end of the year...Why then are you trying to hurry this election thru with an unopposed candidate for pres.,and no candidate for treasurer or secretary? Why can't we have more candidates on the ballot?
More and more I've been hearing the Rams members being referred to as
"Millsey's Puppets".

Dave, my only plan is to put another candidate on the ballot, and let the members decide who should be president, let them make a choice. At this point, it appears that Millsey is making all the decisions. Do you really want to win the election simply because Millsey won't let anyone else on the ballot?

Does it really matter if her name is on the ballot she can go to the meeting or start now calling members and state her case. If they want her they can write her in. Plain and simple. Here is my theory on the whole thing titles mean dik If you are wanting to be president and don't get it well boo hoo and pull up your sleeves and act like you are and work your butt off. If half the members would do that I bet you would have 50 mini's right now. 2 years ago it seemed this is how the rams was. Was is what I use b/c right now it is not It is going to take a lot of hard work to rebuild back to what you once were and getting hung up on stupid stuff is not the way to do it.

I am Bobby Moore and I approve this Message!

Bob if you wanted somebody else on the ballot then you should have nominated them. Don't get on here and act like you have been treated wrong. You had TWO MEETINGS to make a nomination. Did you? No you didn't.

For some reason a couple of you people think it is "not fair" for a candidate to run unopposed. Have you ever voted in an election before? The only response I've heard from an actual RAMS member about this was you Bob. Not one other MEMBER, other than Wolf has even addressed it to me. The time to address that sort of issue is at a meeting and not on the internet because it's the only time it's valid. The website is a great place to ask for opinions and get some feedback, but it's not for "official" business.

At the last 2 meetings no members would accept the nomination of President,
Secretary, or Treasurer. At one point, it was brought up at the Oct. meeting that we should wait and see if Brian McGee (who is not a member) would want to run. (That fact alone should indicate to you the direction this club is going) Althou I wasn't aware that the nominations were closed at the last meeting, do you think it is smart to close nominations when you have NO candidates for two of the four positions? Also, I'm sure Dave would have accepted at the September meeting, but no one nominated him. I have found a new member who is willing to run for President, and you appear to be dead set against it.why? By the way, who is running against shannon for southern V.P. and steve for Northern V.P.?

Why yes I do

My plan revolves around Jon Paul being in the modified next year :)
