OT: Bush is an embarrassment - what a piece of crap

I'm on a high you cant drag me down from I'm eating this stuff up by the fistful. I love to hear Republicans cry! It is music to my ears! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Clinton does the nasty with an intern and they impeach him. They put a coke snorting, drunken junkie (hiding behind the veil of a born again Christian) in the White House and they set him on a pedestal!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

[Several years ago near the beginning of his presidency, he urged the big 3 automakers to produce a viable car that would run on hybrid fuel technology. .[/QUOTE]

yes doug but there is a difference between what someone says to get elected and what someone does to help the energy problem..

where is all the hybrids?

The Powers That Be did not want John Kerry to win. Imagine, if he wins then Hillary Clinton would possibly have to wait 8 years before she culd run. I believe she will run in '08. They are already researching the idea of a female commander in chief.Look at the new series due out in early Sept. Geena Davis stars as the first woman nominated to the highest position in the land. Now don;t get me wrong, I am not against a female president, but, a liberal such as H.R.C. I see trouble on the horizon if she is elected. Here first term will be good, she will fix all the wrongs that President Bush is getting blamed for. Her second term, that is when things get interesting. JMHO.

Unfortunately, I don't see anyone in Washington, Republican or Democrat, rushing in to take the lead to help those in need, and those that will be in need for months/years to come. Our nations response to this tragedy, to me, is a major disappontment.

I realize it takes time to mobilize a massive relief/rescue/rebuild effort for a disaster of this size, but if this is the best we can do, given the advance warning of the magnitude of the hurricane, folks we have a much bigger problem than determining the correctness of our last ballot.

God help the victims! God help us all.

TTG/MM

Just a quick note as I head off to work: Bush has agreed to release some oil from the strategic reserves, New Orleans continues to flood due to breaches in the levee system (we all know how that can affect an area), sharks are now reported to be swimming in the streets, and looting is running rampamt. Maybe the sharks will get the looters. And that's just New Orleans. The death toll continues to rise in Mississippi.

First of all DAB73 where did you come from? I am not going to try to start a argument but it does sound like you are high.

I am with the others though. We sent millions, if not Billions of dollars to Asia for their releif and I am not a historical person or a political person by a long shot but, when is the last time a country has sent us that much money. My memory is short though.

I am also really glad I am not Mr. Bush. There are alot of people who think that they can do better, STEP UP.. YOu try to keep EVERBODY in this country happy.. He is a coward if he dont go over there and kick their A** but look at what happens when he does..JMO. and trust me I am not in favor of anyof our guys/girls getting killed over there...

Ok, last night I bit my tongue and decided not to comment further. After much procrastinating I've decided to forge ahead.

Tornado70- I'm as redblooded, flag waving 100% American (notice I capitalized it) as you are. I and we are in no way bashing any branch of the armed services. I have more respect for all of you than anyone would ever realize. And we all are thankful to have you. But I have to ask, what drugs are you on that make you so delusional that you are such an avid Bush supporter and think he is such a great president? Our problem is not with you, but with the moron leading this country that possesses the leadership skills of a gerbil.

You asked earlier to ask friends, relatives, etc. where would this country be without this president doing the job he has. Ok, I choose Mrs. Lila Lispcomb of Flint, MI. Her son is Michael Pederson who was one of the first to die in Iraq. Michael was a crewman on the first Blackhawk helicopter that was shot down. She has a question or two for you, and the president. What have we gained by liberating Iraq? Where are all the weapons of mass destruction that you knew where there? Where is the "Just Cause" now?

Heck, I would have been satisfied if they had just found some minute evidence that Sadam was manufacturing "WMD". Not only did we not find any, we only found leftover SCUD missles from Desert Storm. There were no warheads, there were no chemicals. There were only Laboratories where scientists were producing medecines and vaccines for Iraqi people. SCUDS... don't think that they are quite capable of reaching US airspace. In fact the Iraqi army wasn't even proficient enough to fire them on target during Desert Storm. What were they gonna do to us? The president did an excellent job or scarring the bejezus out of US citizens and proclaiming that Sadam and Iraq had the capabilities to harm us. This was only a coverup to give reason to go back to war against Sadam. The same man George Sr. wanted when he was in office, but was too stupid to get the job done. Sounds to me like the Bush family had a major H*rd-on for him and they weren't even going to let the UN stop them. Keep in mind folks, we have alienated the UN now. Are only allies are G. Brittain (which is the only country that has a military and are little help) Morrocco, Iceland, Afghanistan (who has a military, but its ours) and two or three other small countries about the size of Zimbabwe. This was the "Coalition" that Rumsfeld and Bush said was so powerful and would become the new leaders. (BOY, I'm feeling safe right now).

This whole war was publicized and sold to the American people as "Making the world and the United States a safer place." What a bunch of BUNKO. If that statement were true, then why have we sat idle while North Korea has built and tested nuclear weapons? Why have we not continued the hunt for Osama Bin Laden? I'll tell you why. It's because this war was about a family grudge, and big money.

Yes big money. Who do you think was the president of Haliburton before he became vice president of the US? None other than Dick Cheney. How much of a financial interest do you think he still has in Haliburton. Furthermore, who has received the largest portions of the military contracts during this war?? Yes thats right, you can say it, Haliburton. How many politicians do you think have stock in this company?

To conitnue on with my soapbox. Back in the early 80's George jr. was given an oil company by daddy to run. Most of the executives who worked for him were Iraqi's. It only took Jr. about 2 years to completly bankrupt that company (he's doing the same thing to the US, but more about that later) and do you know where most of the former Iraqi employees are now? They have landed jobs with the new Iraqi government that George is putting in place. (Now why would he be doing that? Can you say income after retirement?) Don't believe its true. Do some investigating and find out who the new Iraqi Ambassador to the United States is.

Now on to the bankrupting of America. Why are we closing military bases in the US? Because we can no longer afford them. Why is Bush taking away benefits from veterans? Because we can no longer afford them. Why is Bush pushing congress to reduce the wages of those currently active in the military? Because we can no longer afford them. Where is all the money going? Its simple. Haliburton and other large contractors are awarded contracts for government. They charge us, the taxpayers millions of dollars to do things like feed our soldiers in Iraq, only to sub-contract out there contracts to smaller companies. A 1 million dollar contract billed to the US Military and is sub-contracted out for $500k. Who do you think gets the profits?
Who do you think is rebuilding Iraq. We are. And who do you think is getting the contracts for the rebuilding?? Friends of Bush. Who's making money. Friends of Bush.

Don't you think a decent president would have negotiated a better plan for America? If those people (Iraqi's) wanted their land liberated shouldn't we have traded liberation for oil? Surely a more American individual would not have destroyed these peoples homeland, only to find that they were no threat to the United States, and then pay to clean up his mistake and make himself and his buddies rich.
Heres how lame our president is. Remember 9/11. He was sitting with first graders reading. What did he do when he was first told of the attacks? NOTHING. He sat there. Then he was told of another attack. What did he do then? NOTHING. This is the man who is Commander in Chief of our military. He didn't have sense enough to get out of his seat to go and attend to the countries business. He waited until someone told him what to do. BECAUSE HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

So yes, Bush has turned his rich head on America. He cares nothing about the promises he made to get elected. He cares nothing about you or me. He has created a smokescreen of panic and hysteria to cover his real agenda. Milking America for all he can.

To have the hybrid automobiles you have to have a buying market, it's just not there. The electric/gas cars are very fuel efficiant but are not sporty looking enough for the American buyer. Now, who's fault is that, not the Presidents, he's not building the cars that the majority of the American public wants. The American auto buyer are more interested in the high performance compacts and large SUV's.

Millsey and King Eddy, instead of b**ching constantly on this forum about high oil prices, why don't you two show the stlracing forum some solutions to our higher oil prices? let's hear some ideas!! i'll be waiting to hear from you guys!

btw, i just cannot believe what i read from you two. it's freaking hilarious. you guys make me chuckle! thanks! :D

"racer14k that was great I held a JOB in the Airforce 82-86!"

Well it's Wednesday mourning and I'm watching CNN Headlines and they just showed President Bush getting off Airforce 1 in Washington D.C. President Bush is going to fly down south to take a look at the damage on Friday? FRIDAY? Why not until FRIDAY? Oh let's not get in a hurry here. FRIDAY?
Let's see Texas-Washington D.C. How far out of the way was the south in his flight pattern? Airforce 1 could have done a low flyby to take a quick look on his way to D.C.
I have about had it with these RICH PEOPLE running our country (and taking our land when they want) and not giving a DA.. about us the citizens. A average Joe that knows what you and I want and don't want our government to do, doesn't have a chance to become our LEADER! LEADER of the people, the average American that's what we need. Not voting, that doesn't help. Vote for the other party, nah that's no good either. We need a true GRASS ROOTS CAMPIAGN from US, you now U.S.

Right now we need to do our part and donate cash to www.redcross.org at least they are doing something right now, not "just sitting on their thumbs like D.C. "

Marty Boyer 52 RAMS: "Prayer, it's a powerfull tool!"

who taught who

Just remember the line, Read My Lips, and who said it.
Who taught Who, how to lie to the people and do what you want. and to this day i cant belive they are building a carrier and naming it after his daddy. what the hell did he do for the american people other than lie to us just like his son is doing now.

Milsey and kind eddy, thank you.

As for the war in iraq, we DO NOT need to be there. It is NOT our place. As for weapons of mass destruction they dont have them, we do. How can we tell someone they dont need them while we produce more than anyone else in the world. How can we say someone isnt safe if they have them when the only time they were used in conflict was by us. Its riduculous. If we want a ban on a bombs, lets lead by example. I have friends in iraq, im not against the troops, only the leadership.

As for the guy who said if i think i can do better why dont i run: You give me the millions to run and i will. No one on here has the money or connections to run for an office like that. SO we do what we r supposed to do as americans, stand up and speak when the bull **** hits the fan. So hear we r.

As for clinton, you couldnt ask for a better president. Sure he had some moral issues. Who doesnt. He just got caught. Everyone likes to point fingers, but most people have more in their closets than we will ever know. I think you are forgetting that while bill was running the show we were paying off the nation deficit. Not just the intrest, but acutally cutting into the deficit. Bush Sr and now Little george both spent more money than we could ever imagine.

Gore won in 2000. We as americans failed. When jeb did the back door bidding for george we should have protested. There should have been riots in the streets. People should have marched washington and raised hell. We didnt so now we r stuck.

The democrats will not win another presidental election unless they run a southerner who opposes abortion and promises to stick a bible in every school. The problem people is that the working class is now voting republican. I dont get it??? The democrats look out for the working man. THey dont give tax breaks to millionairs. The democrats keep the economy stable and strong keeping the working man at work. So in 08 when you go pick your ballet and put check by the republican, dont blame me when in 09 your job is being sent to asia and mexico.

Back to the military. National Gaurd should say enogh. They should gaurd the nation. I have a countless number of friends who were lured in by promises of college and a check who are now sitting in iraq while we have a huge number of active duty soilders all over the us. Somethings wrong here.

So call me a cry baby, call me a *****, i could care less. I speak the truth, like it or not.

i agree but why cant the gov. help get these cars out there?.. these cars cost so much. if the gov. helped bring the price down more people would buy them.. a good way to start is dont tax or give a tax break to the buyers.. the same for the automakers.. there are many of ways getting these hybrid cars on the road that they are not doing...

Those that blame the President of The United States of America for the higher gas prices please take a look at the following list of three questions. Answer each one of them in your head. If at any point you feel unsure of the answer or get a tad confused, you may want to rethink your ability to offer an opinion on the subject… And you FAIL as an American!

1) What is the role and responsibilities of the Judicial Branch of the federal government?
2) What is the role and responsibilities of the Legislative Branch of the federal government?
3) What is the role and responsibilities of the Executive Branch of the federal government?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Now for you saying, ““THEY” need to do something about gas prices!” ““THEY” have to take some action!” ““THEY” have to fix this for us!”

My first question for ya’ll is who the heck is this all knowing and powerful “THEY” you keep referring to? If your answer is “THEY” is President Bush, YOU FAIL as an American! (See question 3 above!)

My second question for ya’ll ““They”” need to do something people,” is, what should “THEY” do?????? If anything in your answer points to overriding the fundamentals of SUPPLY and DEMAND you do not understand what a free market economy is!!! For those folks, I suggest ya’ll just head on out of this country ‘cause your ignorance ain’t doing us any good! The reason I’m so willing to use such harsh words is folks HAVE to understand the free market economic system we utilize here in America is just as much to the core of what America “is” and just as much a part of collective freedom as The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and The Flag!!! PLEASE STOP TAKING POT SHOTS AT OUR COUNTRIES FOUNDATION!!!!!! We have to take the good and the bad that comes with our freedom and our way of doin’ things The American Way. With regards to the price of gas… We’re seeing the downside of the system but we CANNOT abandon what America is!

Now, if your answer is to “What “they” should do?” Is the Federal Trade Commission needs to look at the possibility of an Oligopoly existing with the petroleum companies and the possibility that such an arrangement is causing price fixing. THEN 100% behind ya… It’s the only thing resembling a quick fix answer we FREE Americans have!

Any long-term answer to our reliance on fossil fuels wills relying on someone stepping up with a better more economical way… What would be the reason for someone undertaking such a monumental task! TO MAKE MONEY! ‘Cause that’s the American way!

That's good, because you just proved that you are a joke... LOL....

Should we just remain silent! Should we just sit back and take it? Here's two very simple ideas that even you can understand.
1. Bring home the National Guard troops overseas.
2. Tap into our oil reserves for the entire nation. They were set aside for occassions just like this. I'm not saying take the whole damn thing, just some to get us through the period when we get the repairs made..

Wow. If I knew that the president had a magic wand that he could wave and make everything perfect, I would look at politics a little differently. If Bush is responsible for a local gas station trying to jack up prices, he must also be responsible for the selection of Slurpy flavors. Why didn't Clinton waive the magic wand and fix all of the problems during his 8 years? Commodity traders are responsible for setting the oil prices based on what the overall market looks like around the world and our lack of any new refineries (primarily because any attempt to build a new one in the last 25 years has been blocked by people who do not want one in their area or environmental laws) is why we cannot turn more of that oil into something useful. The area hit is responsible for a large part of the US oil production and refining. Of course we are going to take a hit at the pump. I am not happy about it, but also am not surprised. Could our elected leaders (both Republican and Democrat) put some real pressure on oil companies to at least force prices a little lower? Of course they can but most politicians run away from complicated problems especially when both parties receive a large amount of campaign donations from the industry. I think this will probably change when Congress is back in session this Fall. They are more worried about getting elected again than they are in campaign donations.

A few points:
-Iraq had portions of their WMD program in place up to the start of the war. That has been proven. They also had a program for long range missiles that violated the UN sanctions, which had not gotten to the production stage. Along with this, based on their documentation, Saddam was hoping to kick it all back into high gear once sanctions were lifted.
-Iraq did not have stockpiles of WMD's that the entire world and even the almighty UN thought they had. Clinton talked about this belief during his presidency and the Bush administration also believed it based on what intelligence we had. Saddam had plenty of chances to prove everyone wrong up until the last minute, but he didn't. Inspectors were never given the open access that he was required to provide.
-Russia has said that they warned the US that Iraq was considering terrorist attacks against the US. We even found Iraq run terrorist training camps when we invaded, along with harboring plenty of wanted terrorists.
-We had pilots being shot at over the Iraq no fly zone for years protecting civilians that Saddam wanted to massacre. Exactly how long should we let our pilots get shot at before doing something?
-Haliburton was already on board with the Pentagon under the Clinton administration. This was not something that suddenly happened under Bush.
-Not looking for Bin Laden? You might want to ask all of our military over in Afghanistan what they are doing then.
-There are a lot of reasons why should have or why we should not have gone after Iraq that are not based on conspiracy BS theories usually started by someone hoping for a political gain. Although I did vote for Bush, I do not think that Kerry or Gore would have made major decisions that they did not think were in the best interests of the country. Where is the political upside for Bush with the Iraq War and trying to get a stable country in place? He is not making money off of it, he has a whole cabinet that is not going to advise him based on a family grudge, and if it goes bad he ends up going down in history among our worst presidents. Where is the upside for him personally? We could have walked away after what was one of the most well planned and executed invasions in history and washed our hands of the matter if he just wanted to put on a show and keep it simple, but we would have paid a price years from now. The reason terrorists are trying to hit us so hard is that our recent history leads them to believe we will run away without finishing the job when things get painful enough. Lebanon, Somalia, Vietnam, etc. If we do not finish the job, Iran will either take control or Bin Laden will end up with his own country.
-As much as I would like to see everyone out of harms way tomorrow, we have to finish this or the next fight against terrorists will be much worse. Until we stop being politically correct and having our troops act more like police officers than soldiers, this is going to be tough. Every time one of our people sneezes over their it is broadcast all over the world as a news story. We need to just accept the fact that we might get some bad PR and go back to fighting this like a war until it is done.
-Some of our "friends" around the world better step up and at least offer to help with the hurricane recovery if they every want our support again.
-Is this a racing site or are we going to debate politics every couple of weeks?

Where would the world be if we had decided not to help in the fight against Hitler. Sadam is the worst thing since Hitler. He killed and tortured many people. That is firmly documented. As a world leader it is our responsibility to help those in distress. Now you may believe that the US is in more distress than other countries but thats just not the case. I would like to believe that God looks favorably on those who helps others in need whether they be individuals that you know or in other countries.

I hope that help comes to those affected by the hurricane and I believe it will. Just never seems like it is ever fast enough.

Lets all do something for a person less fortunate than ourselves today.

(Millsey, need some gas money?LMAO) Not being a smart arse but didnt want to be too serious either. AK
