re: mt vernon

i was there and watched it happen from the pit area, yes the car should not have gone through the fence, yes the fence needed lots of work to begin with, and yes the owners might be some what at fault for this. but i'm sorry this isn't a time to get on and bash people for their mistakes, and i'm sorry this mistake has cost valuable life, i hope everyone keeps the people killed and injured, the owners and even the driver of the car in their thoughts and prayers

Hindsight is a great thing if used at the right time, which is not now. Prayers to all invoved and the hope of a speedy recovery for the injured, and those who lost loved ones.

no it wasnt a freak accident, a car should not drive trough a wall, not bashing anyone im very sad about this, mad even. dont go saying im a basher im stating the fact that it should not have happend, that needs to be talked about.

I was & still am very shocked by what happened tonight. I really dont know what to say other than I hope everyone says a prayer for all those involved as well as for their family's. I cant imagine the pain their family & friends must be feeling. Thoughts & prayer to all those involved.

I always wondered if something like that may happen at either there or at Belleville where the fans are so close to the track. Sure its great to be that close to the action. but in that one split second something like this happens.

A midget did flip into the stands at Belleville one night in the mid 80s. Thankfully there was nobody sitting there at the time.

I'm not overly religious, but God speed to the folks who went to see their maker tonight, and may He be with their families. Everything happens for a reason, but d-mn this s-cks. :( :( :(

My thoughts and prayers to the family or families and all involved lets just let it rest till all the facts are out

Some of you may disagree (not trying to force the subject, just stating my opinion) but I think it will be a VERY long time before Mt. Vernon runs again. I personally, have never been there , but if I was a track owner/promoter, I wouldn't give a sh*t about the money anymore and just shut the track down.

PRAYERS AND GODSPEED TO ALL THOSE INVOLVED FROM NICKEL & DIME RACING, K&K RACING, AND THE BELLE-CLAIR SPEEDWAY FUEL FOXES. :( :( :(

Very sad news. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this terrible tragic accident. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

Thoughts and prayers to all involved, including all the fans, and children. The racing family always pulls together when needed. Lets make sure that the children whom witnessed this are also in our prayers. I know this will be hard on them.

To likapimp^^^ how could you think about sueing anyone at this time.. That is a really stupid thing to say right now. The same thing hapeened in highland years back when i was little (car went into the pits and and lanned on two people and they were killed they didint sue no one ( you must be a dumb *** to say something like that) sorry abot the cursing but it is stupid for someone to come on here and say lets sue. it was a accident. everyone takes that risk when they attend a race track.. My thoughts and prays go out to everyone involed.. it is a sad day in racing..

my thoughts and prayers to everyone that was there...

hey, skipdog, im not sueing anyone, why is that a stupid thing to say, the fact is the facility wasnt safe for the fans, its a shame it happed, and i feel terrible for the families of the fans injured, would you go sit over in that corner? the place wasnt safe enough, could have been prevented, and they got legal trouble comin, and its gonna come hard.
