????

Thought this thread went elsewhere.....LOL! Nice to see some of the names though. Gotta have something to do to occupy my time. Getting ready for Saturday, hopefully we'll be there if all goes right. Ya never know. Gotta get my last fix before winter, kinda like the squirrel gettin the last nut before winter....LOL!

Since it's quite obvious that I wasn't in a creative mood when I picked my name, I'll simply add that I'm named after actor Brandon de Wilde. (from such films as Shane and Hud.)

I do use screen names on other sites. On maximumdirt.com I'm PikeFan1112677254. The long string of numbers is a joke about all the folks who use their car number, or year of birth, etc. in their screen name. The numbers refer to the numbered roads I take when going to Pike County Speedway. (ILL-111, ILL-267, I-72, and US 54.) I've also used ILLI-noise as a screen name on some boards, which is a stolen play on words taken from the old 1970s "Big Noise from Illinois" funny car.

Well I waited long enough, my first name is Edmond, and I will not answer to ED, I despise ED. I am amazed with ancient Egypt (just ask to see my tattoo`s) and the boy king Tutankhamun, however it also goes with edmond but mon is to close to mom so I used u instead of o for the pronunciation. When I raced (drag racing) we didn`t have a # for the rail, so my son`s # is 11. Simple!

Wingdance

well I was just thinking up names one day..and i remembered back in the day wheh jeff swindell would win a feature he'd climb up ontop of his sprint car and wave the chekered flag in which he called it his wingdance. so..that's where i got it from..plus i wanted something different rather than something like sprintfan or whatever. so there's my story behind by screen name.:)

Yeah, I know, but it could be funny. When we were drag racing, Sikeston would not announce it because of what they thought it stood for. But it is actually harmless, and unoffensive.

BVT : Bellevue Valley Transports. Which is the name of my Transport Co in Belleview MO. Longtime ago on here I was: "JOTS": Johnny on the Spot which was the name of my other co.

Everyone @the Bluff calls me: BVT OR KAT ........WHICH, "KAT" IS MY NICKNAME.

It is neat to know how everyone got their screen names. Thanks "RW" for coming up with this thread!!!

MY NAME KINDA EXPLAINS ITSELF ALSO. BUT FOR READING SAKE I'LL EXPLAIN. I'VE BEEN GOING TO THE RACES ALL MY LIFE (35YRS). I USED TO BE A BLEACHER BUM WITH MY DAD. WELL, THEN DAD RETIRED AND MOVE TO THE COUNTRY. THAT BEING HIRAM MO. ANY OF YA'LL HEARD OF THAT PLACE? ITS OUT 34 HWY TOWARDS MARBLE HILL. WELL, HE STOPPED GOING TO THE RACES EVERYWEEK. SOOOOO I FOUND MYSELF SITTING THERE ALONE. I SAID TO HECK WITH THIS AND STARTED GOING IN THE PITS. I DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE REALLY WELL. JUST KNEW A COUPLE FROM OTHER PLACES. WELL, I DID A LOT OF WALKING AROUND STRIKIN' UP A CONVO HEAR AND THERE. BEFORE I KNEW IT I KNEW QUITE A FEW RACERS. AND A LOT OF THEM KNEW ME. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT PITDRIFTER IS WHAT I AM!

my brothers screen name is squat-n-duck he got that from my uncles cb handle that burnt up alive in a tracker trailer and he put it on the back of his car and for the longest time ppl thought it was a resturant

I don't post here that much but my username is my nickname. When I was really young my brother who is 10 years older called me Pete a lot just to have fun with me. Then a lot of my cousins and a lot of friends in my old hometown of Puxico, Mo. called me that. Then when we moved to Dexter, Mo. of course no one called me that cause I didn't bother telling anyone there. At my job at Briggs and Stratton in Poplar Bluff I saw some of those old friends from Puxico and immediately they yelled Pete. Then some others who I had yet to meet were asking me if that was real name I said no that my real name was Corey. But they liked Pete better and they decided to add the y on the end just like my real name and it stuck.

That is neat Petey!!

Puxico .......mmm I bettcha ya know that, Blue/White Modified #3 from Puxico, then ugh? :)

"Axeman"

 Do you think, some of these here remember "KISS"? I couldn't forget them! LOL Some are still "ROCKIN" as for as my name it says it all. Chevy rules in our Race Family and oh by the way I'm a "WOMAN" LOL--ChevyMan well "HE RULES". Wishing everyone "Happy and Safe Thanksgiving to Everyone" Wanted to post this before I left town.:D

Chevy-Woman,

Yes, I suspect many of those here remember KISS. I find that today's youth seems to love many of the same (Geezer Rock) bands I listened to when I was younger. In fact, just a few days ago my sons, ages 20 and 10, and I watched a Who video together. The oldest's favorite group of all time is the Beatles; and we all have tickets to see the Stones in January. Matter of fact, I've promised (threatened?) to take them both to see KISS if/when they come back through St. Louis. Now if I could just get them interested in dirt track racing . . .

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, as well as to all those who post here.

"Awesome Axeman"-have a heck of a time for me to! I'm a little bit of everything with music, depends on what mood I'm in. LOL -- Leonard Skynard-ZZ Top-Classical--Country so forth and so on. Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving with your Family and Friends.:) "Our music will never die".

I don't post often, but i got my screenname out of a nickname. I was playing volleyball w/ friends and i had just gotten my hair cut short and to keep it out of my face I had to put some back. well i guss it made me look like pebbles from the flinstones b/c one guy started calling me pebbles and before i knew it a few people were calling me that. i actually thought i had outlived the name and then a couple weeks ago my brother Tommy called me Pebbles.
