taking down rubber--and lots of it

Tacky muddy tracks produce dirt clods that could fly into the stands and decapitate, maime and kill spectators. You know those insurance companies and their wonderful ideas.

I think you are correct - a - mondo there Bigdog... Have you ever been hit by one of those big clods? Man they can really mame you :( OUCH !!!!!

Hey trashdog, Will we be seing you blame insurance companies if someone ever sues a track claiming that track dust exacerbeted their asthma? lmao. Why stop there, trashdog? Maybe that's why we have 20-30 minute intermissions, as well--tracks and insurance companies MUST be worried that a flagman will claim carpal tunnel from waving the flags for 3 hours without a long break,lol....

GIVE ME A BREAK--if tracks are so concerned about someone suing because they got hit by a mud clod, they can put in a bigger catch fence. Certain tracks have problems with track conditions, but somehow I don't think fear of flying mud clods are a valid reason.

Who the HELL is Brandy Paul?

This guy keeps starting this crap every week and then says " I'm not bashing MCS but........." You stated several weeks ago what your opinion of MCS was and then you go and watch the races there on Sunday. Who is the the dumb one here. Why does it even matter to you what MCS does, if you do not like the track or have any interest in the place? I never post on here because it's useless but this guy is very annoying, GET A LIFE YO YO.

well i wasn't there but i don;t know seems like MCS didn't put out a good show to Brandons standerds..if i was racing there i wouldn't liked to have seen a lot of rubber further HE IS NOT BASHING THE TRACK..If you really want to see poor car count go to Poplar Bluff..they are asking cars that don't me regulations to come race just to have the car count..i was asked to.

Brandon Paul

Can you PLEASE tell us what your concerns REALLY are??? You have pissed and moaned about everything from pay scale to rough track to dusty track. What did you really expect on Sunday after racing Saturday night also. With all your so called infinate wisdom you are acting really DUMB
YES- INSURANCE companies are on these track promoters. These are their # 1 claim. You can talk about Bigger catch fences and the sun and the moon. Get used to the dusty tracks because summer is coming upon us. And if your asthma is acting up may I SUGGEST ( this is to solve your problem ) go to Home Depot and get a nice little white mask to cover your face. NOW MAY I SUGGEST you buy the little track that just closed down and get the track conditions RIGHT - Get the pay scales RIGHT and get that catch fence in because the insurance companies will be on you like stink on S H I T if you have a couple of claims. And when you get this PALACE of yours done call me and I will be the first to show up and hand out COMPLIMENTS. Heck fire you have alot of fans on here ( about as many as I do  :D ) and I am sure they would love to come to your track and nit pick the h e c k out of it for you. We can call it getting the bugs out

You'll have to forgive my naive friend Brandon he is from that side of the river...lol He has little life experience with insurance companies. Once he gets a speeding ticket or two he will learn.

Nothin' Better Than The Dog In A Battle Of Wits. :D

SOUNDS LIKE HE OUGHT TO GO TO A ASPHALT TRACK. NO DUST OR DIRT BALLS THERE.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ATTENDING TO YOUR BEVERAGE AN GOT HIT WITH A UNEXPECTED DIRT CLOD? TAKE IT FROM DIRTGIRL.....IT HURTS LIKE H E L L! :D

Catch fencing is cheaper than insurance rates increasing I can see but, I am not buying the whole "dirt clod" argument. If this was true, then every track would have higher fences, with much finer wire to stop anything from coming through. I sat at B-Clair and watched a spring come over the fence and nearly decapitate a guy sitting in turn four. That could happen any night, and is just as likely to happen as a large enough chunk of dirt to cause a serious injury coming off the track and hitting a spectator. So, why arent the fences already in place? The risk is already there.

With This Sue Happy World Today, I'm Suprised A Track Hasn't Been Sued Over The Quality Of The Food!!!

The Way I Understand It Is Most Track Insurance Picks Up Wherever Your Personal Insurance Stops. That Way It Cost You Nothing Outta Pocket. As Far As Suing? I Guess If You Have A Life Altering Or Major Injury Do To Being Hit With Something Thats One Thing. But, I'm Sure Some Are Just Out For An Easy Buck.

LOL !!! I have been to some holes they call tracks also. I guess it's a matter of which promoter thinks this is a bigger issue than others.
Some have a double layer on the fence. I have seen this at a track or 2. And I commend those tracks for alittle more safety. ;) You can say it's not the insurance but it's pretty much a BIG issue at some places...

I55 Has Chicken Wire Inside The Fence On The Front Straight. It Definitely Helps Keep Some Of The Mud From Going Into The Stands. Only Down Fall Is It Blocks The View Some Until It Gets Knocked Off. I Guess You Have To Take The Good With The Bad!

I like I55's catch fencing that hangs out over the track, I think that is a really good idea.

Also there are a few suits out there already from folks at a few tracks that got hit with dirt. So it has already happened.

Hey team 28, if you find this forum useless, I'm not really sure why you went to the trouble of registering.

dirtgirl, when did I claim to have "infinite wisdom"? I don't recall ever claiming any such thing. And I DON'T have asthma--if you can't discern sarcasm from a serious point, I'm sorry.

Also, I KNOW it was a two day show--but just 10 LMs showed the night before, the RAMS had such a poor car count that threads have shown up on THAT subject; the sportsman had, what, something like 10 cars, etc. The second night they had 13 LMs, 5 sportsman, 11 dwarf cars, etc. Your point would be valid if they had monster car counts in all classes, i.e. like shows at Oakshade, Ohio where they get 150-175 cars every night. That wasn't exactly the case at Montgomery.

One more point--what makes tracks or promoters sacred cows that must not be questioned in any shape or form? Look, I'm familiar with that old 11th commandment of racing--thou shalt not speak ill of racing. That's fine, except that if we take that out to its logical conclusion, no one would ever criticize any track/promoter/procedure. What results is a race towards mediocrity.

Again, let me state that MCS does a lot of things well--great track lights, great announcer, great banking, great spectator seating, great concessions, etc. So I do not simply write this stuff just to pile on MCS. But when track conditions are horrible--I'm not going to pretend everything is fine and not speak up.

Hey you must have missed this ill post it for you again brandon::::::::
you know brandon your full of it you say your not talkin **** you are just concerened about ump and car count for fairness then lets go back to your 1st post what does car count and compitition have to do with **** talking about a black track and your crap about bad track prep from throwing t-shirts give me a break save your double talk for someone else. You must think everyone is to stupid to read or has a short memory. Save your crap for the small talk at the checkout and get back to baggin!!!!!!!
Hey by the way why didnt you stop by and talk to Mell yourself about your great opinions of racing and MCS you say track promoters should not be above being questioned, you must have tried to talk to Mell then right! What did he say?????

Those people are stupid. File those cases with the "I got fat eating Mcdonalds food" case. I like overhanging catch fencing too, would like to see more tracks adopt it.

Not The Trashdog. :D :D

Smoking joe, I admit I was wrong for making the infamous "t-shirt" comment. There's no connection. It was an ignorant comment. mea culpa. I'm sorry. Can we move on now?

I do not, however, back down from my basic points about the car count issue or the track conditions. Nor, however, do I back down from my point that MCS has great facilities, announcer, lights, etc. If that constitutes double speak in your book, so be it.

I'm sorry I thought you took all your post serious. As for the asthma and sarcasm remark I got it  Guess you can't tell a pot calling the kettle black

K I S S

Last year at Godfrey on one of those sunday races I took a rock or a lugnut or something off my nose and luckily I was wearing my glasses because it knocked the lense out or I would have lost an eye, but maybe gained a racetrack? We do need better fences, when I feel safer in the car than the stands.

Brandon, I'm sure I speak for Mel when I say, "Don't let the screendoor hit you on the a.s.s. on the way out!"
