Tech at highland

Maybe you could let them borrow your scale.do you even put your car on a scale? How much money do you make a year from highland speedway?you go out there make to laps and pull off. The money they give you for that they would be able to buy a set for the track.
! Amen brother !
I'm surprised Highland keeps paying him to pull in to the infield after a couple laps every week . I don't even add him in the car count .

Gentlemen, with all due respect, like my son says, try to keep your comments constructive on here. (I guess I raised Jimmy right! I'm proud of him!) Fireball has been racing for decades and does not want to stop. He doesn't bother anyone with his racing and usually pulls off the track when he's about to get lapped. He has fun and enjoys his racing nights. Give him a break. He's one of the nicest guys at the track and would do just about anything he could to help out a racer who needs it. Many times he donates items for Jr. Fan Club at both Belleville and Highland. You don't have to jump all over him and get him riled up with retorts. Granted, he came off a little "too tough" with one of his comments, but he apologized and his comments were constructive.

Highland has not had scales for awhile now. There old set broke and they have no way to get them fixed. My dear friend who used to keep them working back in the day is no longer here. Yes, they do need to get some scales, and as I was told, they are working on that. Hopefully they will have some soon. Does anyone know where they can get some?

Can't we all just get along and enjoy the racing opportunities that we have? In my opinion, it is the racer's responsibility to keep things honest and legal on the track. Back in the day, tracks used to take track points away from racers when they were "caught" illegal. But all tracks do not want to run guys off as they need the car counts and the fans in the stands to keep things going. Look around on a race night....who do you see? The same people you saw last week? No new people? That's right! Instead of snapping at each other, try to keep this cordial and respectful to each other.

I for one, enjoy seeing Fireball out there having a good time. May he race many more years to come!!! Now if you feel like you have been taken to the principal's office, you have! Straighten up!

Wow so just because he runs and pulls off thats a reason to slam him? Wow just wow. Do you realize how many people he has and still helps out? Charities? Fundraisers? Swap meets? Len races for fun and thats something some people have forgotten about in todays world. Man if you dont like it dont go. Leave. Tradk will not miss you trust me. Least he is doing something besides sitting behind a keyboard bellyaching about scales running one lap and such. Hell id be happy to least be able to do that anymore. Jimmy Cummins your a great person for what you said and your mom is as well. Respect is a word forgotten sometimes. Example-some years ago i bought a welder and engine stand from len. My garage got broken into. I called len and asked if he had some more and he made me a hell of a deal. Thats the type of person he is. Im guessing spotpig being a new member or someone who had his other name booted doesnt realize those things. If len told me to bug off....id bug off lol.

SpotPig......Now here is real member of Mensa. How much do you think a set of scales cost SpotPig Genius? Let's assume $3000 used conservatively. A pit pass is $30 bucks, and payout of finishing last in A-Mods is what $40 bucks? So Ol' Uncle Lenny rips off Highland Speedway for a whopping $10/night. So it would probably take about 17 years of Lenny not racing to pay for a used set of scales. Idiots like you should just shut up, because you have no clue about anything except how to run your ignorant motor mouth.

thanks for all the support ---I was trying to defend highland when it was getting slammed--I pull in when I see the front runners getting ready to lap me--two race nights ago I stayed out and found my self in the middle of the pack--I try to hold my line but with the track having multipul groves it is hard to figure out where to run on the tack to hold said line--tell ya what spotpig and 3 abrest-hopefully we will race this next sat.. come on down in the pits after the races and I will buy both ya guys a beer with my winnings (by the time I pay pit-fuel and hauler costs)that's bout all I have left---hope all my racing friends have a great holiday---

I was just wanting to know why they weren't check weight. Fireball was the one that stated the bitching. We all know that he will never finish high enough to get checked. Sorry fireball...but they need to enforce the rules and that is an easy one

Hey Morons this guy just got on here and asked why a track doesn't have ANY set of scales, he didn't call the ones they have a piece of shit or bash anyone he asked a LEGITIMATE REASONABLE QUESTION that EVERY RACER In their right mind would and SHOULD ask and lenny told him to stfu. You dipshits are one of the reasons racers are leaving the sport! Can't ask a question or voice a displeasure without someone accusing them of "track bashing" or some stupid shit like that. These racers (competitive) not Lenny sink all their money time effort and make sacrifices to race on put on a show. If You all think it's ok to get slammed and told to stfu for asking a legitimate question ON A DISCUSSION FORUM than than you need to learn something about respect yourselves. I applaud someone for asking about the scale and I think it's pathetic that an actual racer has to use a fake name to ask it because all the keyboard jockeys on here. This sport will not survive without being able to navigate constructive criticism and make the necessary adjustments to keep a level playing field. So if you don't race every weekend and put every penny and spare second into a racecar exercise some humility and KNOW that there's always more to a situation than your "pop shot" response addresses.

Hard Lefts....yet another member of the Low-IQ Club who feels his inferior intelligence gives him license to clarify the comments of others. You can't tell me or anyone else if SpotPig was asking a legitimate question or not. That would require you to know his thoughts and the operation of his mind, and sorry numbskull, you do not. Lenny already said he jumped the gun and assumed that because the 2 people commenting were new members that they were attempting to stir up sh!t. Just let it go. And since you brought it up, what is the racer(s) name "that has to use a fake name" to ask this question on this board? Do you know this for fact? Or are you using the force again? If they are actually a racer who races at Highland, shouldn't he just call the promoter (who knows the true answer) and ask him the question rather than post it on a discussion board? Seems to me (and to Lenny who also assumed) that this is, in fact, just someone stirring up sh!t.

Well all mighty intelligent one the fact that the "new members" are asking questions related to the scales I'd say they're racers or part of a crew that was wondering! You can't put that together yourself?? No smart racer is going to put his name on this board for people to smear! Again, you can't figure this out for yourself?? I don't think fans get on here and ask about the scales..or someone just trying to "stir shit up".

So again I ask. Why (if they are racers or crew) wouldn't they just ask the promoter? There is a drivers meeting each night before the races where this could be asked. In fact, the promoter or race director always asks at the end of the meeting "anybody have any questions? Do you really think a "smart racer" would create a fake account just to ask this question on a discussion board full of mental giants like yourself? Few if any on this board would actually know the answer. Why? Why would they do that? Lets ask him. SpotPig, are you a racer or crew member? If so, why didn't you ask this question to the track or promoter?

I may just do that Saturday. I also have so other questions for him. Like they measured a mod body suppoed to be 67 inches at its widest point and is over 70. And they allow this person to race.

If you are a competitor (driver), I would certainly agree that it is within your right to do so. If you are not a driver or owner, I would privately approach the promoter and ask your questions. I would bet you get the standard answer "we allowed him a grace period, but it must be within specs before he races here again". Out of curiosity, was that so called illegal car in the top 10 in the feature?

Sometimes it makes more sense to keep a racer coming back week after week. He is making a genuine investment in keeping the track and the sport we all love viable. Pit passes are more than the front gate tickets and cars are what sells tickets right? I will back the track every time on that one.

So his car is a bit wide...…..is that a good thing when the hole you are trying to go through is smaller than your car is wide? Can't be a ground effects advantage at that small track! Scales...….so many of the racers have their own scales to set up the car. If you protest a car I am sure somebody will come up with a solution to get a car weighed. I think the track wins on this one too.

How many of us have been involved with race cars and racing as long as Lenny Garson? It's been a while since I last saw Fireball at Lake Hill. Keep turning left my friend …... we got your back! Highland and all the area tracks need more true racing lovers like you.

Lot of assuming going on lol, and this goes for anybody, you show respect to get respect, you dont show any, dont expect any. Been that way since beginning of time when did that change???
