Tri City Beer Girl

hey Richiefor20 you've commented 3 times I think we get your stance on the issue. Only problem is I don't think you read or maybe you just didn't comprehend the point of the post. He's indicating that the beer girl was acting unprofessionally and treating him differently because he didn't tip her. Six beers in four hours is far from intoxicated genius. Either way no need to keep ramrodding your OPINION down our throats.

Must be a good friend of yours.... Lol
That's his take (and yours) of why she was acting unprofessional. Again, she insinuated he looked like he didn't need any more. That's most likely what upset him. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

the part that would piss me off is the do think you can afford it remark.

So which one did you hit on that turned ya down? LOL, at least there was awesome racing, crap like this doesn't need to be posted! Be thankful there was a track you could go to!!

Just curious, do they sell 12 oz or 20 oz beers at TCS?

By your chart there, if those are 12 oz beers, then yes, after 6 of those over 4 hours a 200 lb guy would probably not be unfit to drive.

On the other hand, if those are 20 oz beers, then that's drinking the equivalent of 10 "drinks" in 4 hours and by that chart after 4 hours a 200 lb person would be at .116, which is impaired. And not someone I want to see sharing the road with my 19 year old step daughter, my wife, family, friends, or me, or anyone else for that matter.

Ok. Do the math. The common formula used in most charts are based on a drink being a shot, an 8 oz glass of wine or a 12 oz beer can.

96 ozs would be 8 "drinks" in 4 hours. Over the limit or no? Depends on weight but at 200 lbs or under? Looks like borderline impaired/fit to drive.

Still more than I would like to know someone had in them driving on the same road as me. And chances are, if you just finished your last beer and had to blow leaving the parking lot within half an hour or so, you'd be pretty close.

Does food consumed throughout the day/night, sweat from walking back n forth to the beer stand, and amount of pisses taken go into all these equations?

I drank plenty beer Friday(had a DD for all you MADD people out there) and never had any issues at the beer stand. Most of the time it is the same 2 girls working and they always seem very easy going to me.

I would say give it a rest and be thankful we got to watch some damn good races.

That "chart" you do realize is just a baseline. If thats why you use to figure out if your too drunk to drive wow. Other factors are involved. Food consumed. Meds u take. Body chemistry. I towed for 5 yrs and know for a fact people donot know for sure if they will blow a .008 or not. I wouldnt chance it. To me personally that many beers i that amount of time would get a cops attention. But back to the original post. Lets just be happy we have a place to go. Im thankful for any track that still runs because i know the sacrifices they make to do so.

Depends if he had food to

If i was buying singles I wouldnt tip everytime either. Youre already paying $24 for six. Its not an obligation to tip everytime.

Also didnt seen in the original post the poster say anything about driving. How do any of you who are throwing jabs know he didnt have a DD or rode with someone. If said lady ever ask me if i can afford my purchase..... she wouldnt like me afterwards. Thats totally disrepectful and out of line.

In all reality it's things like this that drive people away. Little things. This sport arised solely from alcohol consumption..don't discard or discredit any members of this clubs grievance. We're racers AND beer drinkers. Both need the other!

No racing this week how long can this post go lol somebody got there feelings hurt by the beer lady turns into a major debate lol go to Macon there still racing and I gaurntee there not going to cut anyone off in the beer line

I'm going to put an end to this next time they race..at a cost tho. I'm getting hammered before the races. Staggering in and buying 1 beer with a 20 and saying keep the change. I'll let you all know what happens...if I remember..

I think I'll kick this old thead one more time... drive people away? Alcohol consumption can keep spectators away. Many tracks have no alcohol sections in the grandstands, why do you think that is? Because many fans are turned off by inconsiderate drunks. Now they have a place to sit and not get beer spilled on them. Racers AND beer drinkers, well, hopefully not at the same time. I was at the pit gate with other drivers, when we saw intoxicated driver go through, we got together and politely said, "no driving tonight friend." Again, I'm no booze cop, and have come back to life on a friend's front lawn a few times. Plus living in the STL area is a beer lovers heaven. (I like the t-shirt that says. "A beer drinking town, with a baseball problem.") Defending race track drinking is not going to endear you to people who stereotype racers/racing fans as a bunch of lowlife's. That's not going to get new fans in the stands!
