What does UMP do for you?

I would like some honest feedback on what UMP has to offer racers.... Money? Insurance? Rule package? Tech?...... I have tried crunching numbers..... Horrible idea..... I've tried making phone calls.... Once again horrible idea....
When I asked a ump representative "so why ump, what's in it for the racers?" They couldn't give me an answer! Just a "well they get a point fund" So racers! What's really in it for you?!!!!!

What does any sanction do but set rules for all tracks in that sanction some classes it can t be done

I have no horse in the race but I will say from usra , imca wissota ump usmts

One thing imca provides is amazing video coverage of races

And usmts is on mavtv

F40... That is why I asked you to please refrain from putting your input into this thread.... This thread was not started to cause arguments over rules, but I can give you a pretty good idea of what a sanctioning body should provide for its drivers and racetracks;
They should provide the tracks and drivers with marketing, consultation, standard set of rules, help enforcing rules and money and I could go on and on...... Tracks trade part of their profits for the services of a sanctioning body..... But that's my question....Is UMP standing up on there end of the bargaining? What are they doing for the drivers?

I'll take this a step further, what is the true investment standpoint of UMP? And please quote me if my numbers are off
They have guessing 5000 paid members?
With an avg membership fee of $100
That's a total of $500,000
Sponsors I'm not going to go through all of them but one in particular is Hoosier Tire....
Of 5000 members averaged out let's say they each buy 4 new tires a year.....Ump kickback $8.00 a tire..... That's $160,000.... And there's many sponsors! Which is great for them!!!!' But.....how's it help the drivers? Where does it go? As a member I would think I would like to know right? There's also weekly fees that each track must pay to ump! And once again where does it go? I've been to many Ump sanctioned tracks all over the U.S., And the most I've seen them helping out tracks is some stickers lol....and your avg racer?????? Believe me I've asked.... And everyone has said the same thing which is...."huh.... I'm really not sure I just paid them the money"..... THATS not what should be heard! FANS......go ask your avg fan about UMP.... They haven't a clue......

why dont you go to the ump banquet or rules meeting and stand up in the middle of everybody and ask them.this board is hardly the place to get all the answers to your questions

If you work hard and race the full amount of nights you get point fund money at the end of the year I'm sure you could earn that with all sanctions though there are pros and cons to all sanction body's but around here most tracks are comitted to ump for one reason or another by the way I would guess that 5,000 paid memberships is a bit high I would guess probably half that
