Todd, I do not undertand you, does it make you feel better to put someone down to make your choice of sereis look better? We also have had many emails about Fastrack, and drivers tell us about dissatisfactions about this past year, and listen to what people who have worked for Fasttrack in the south have had to say. We have choose not to critise your series, it is not professional nor will we do that. Thanks, Rick
MY series Rick? Hell, I don't even own a car. But when you guys come on here, singing your own praises daily, telling everyone how you are bringing cost effective weekly racing to the masses like it never existed til you showed up, well.

Let's see.

You come on here telling everyone the sanction fee for Fastrak is a ripoff at $2,795. That was a lie to start off with.

You told the world Fastrak was not good for the racer, promoter, or the fan in almost your first post on the issue.

You tell the world that what you are offering is "weekly racing, not a touring series" to paint Fastrak as simply a touring series, when in fact you knew Fastrak was weekly, too.

You announce your series with the statement 'we arent going to throw an oddball tire out there either.' A direct reference to the Goodyear tire used in Fastrak. Or were you referring to the Hoosier Emod?

Franklin calls the Fastrak Nationals a "3 day crap shoot."

I could continue this list for another 30 lines of the blatant lies and BULL CRAP you guys have been posting for DAYS!

Now, you wanna get all upset cause I call you on your crap? Because I start firing a few things back? Cause you dont have any good answers for me?

So, I will ask once again.

What IS CARS doing other than splitting the crate racers and crate racing down the middle? What is CARS doing "for the racers" except making them pay TWICE to race in two series?

And I am going to ask you this directly Rick: Why did you go with starting your own sanction and getting into direct competition with the established crate sanction? Why Rick? You could have just as easily made life simple for everyone and gone with Fastrak. Weekly racing for all the Fastrak guys around Mt. Vernon, crate racing, the whole deal. But instead, you chose to start a brand new sanction to cash in on what Fastrak created, forcing anyone who wants to race locally and run with Fastrak to pay twice. True?

I'll say it again, I don't honestly care one way or the other. Fastrak does not need Mt. Vernon to be succesful. Far from it. But it really makes me wonder, when so many of the guys who raced with Fastrak this season came from around the Mt. Vernon area how you can sit there with a straight face and tell everyone that you did what you did because it was "good for the racer." Because what you guys are doing is ANYTHING BUT good for a lot of racers, or crate racing in the Midwest in general.

You know, I have pretty much said my piece, and I am sure people are getting sick of seeing this thread at the top of the list (certainly the CARS people, no doubt), so I will let this drop now. I think that people learn best through personal experience, I know I do anyway. So as time goes on, people will learn, and what they see and hear and experience first hand will be the final factor in deciding who really is good for the racers.

Todd,

Here is your answer.Your founder Stan Lister and Scott & Kevin Ferguson come to my shop to talk to me about running a wekly series, because I asked the Ferguson to come to my shop to run their weekly series. Most of the guys whom run Fasttrack this past year, has raced at MVN Raceway for years. Those same people asked me to talk to Fasttrack about running weekly. The price that they gave me, was $2765.00 up front, plus $ 5.00 per car per night. After talking to me, they seen the response that they got from me for their sanctioning fee, that they felt like they might need to change it.Tim Herbst, had been talking to me for 2 years that he was going to start a crate class, that he and Doug Jenkins was putting this together.I also told Stan Lister and the Ferguson's that also.

I personally do not like the structure of the points fund,I do not think that you should have to put it all on the line after your season is over. I think that if a guy supports your series and runs it all season,he should be rewarded at the end of the year. I sat and listened to your post and other posts from Fasttracks, not at any time did Stan Lister or the Ferguson's ever call me back and offer me a deal, less than $2765, and $5 per car per night.

I believe the crate racing is an affordable class for a guy who would like to drive a Lm,but can not afford the $30,000 engine. The crate class is a good class for them to get started in.I think a craete late model class, will eventually feed the super lm class. When we say, that it is cheaper on the racer, we are referring to someone who wants to get started in a lm.There is a big difference, compared to a super lm.

The hoosier tires, is also a savings to the racer, compared to a super lm tire. No cutting no sieping, just bolt it on, one compound. This is not a hard decision for a beginner.

You are right,Fasttrack does not need MVN Raceway,or they would have offered MVn the same deal that they offered other tracks. It is nothing personal to the Ferguson's, the Ferguson's do not make no money off of the weekly series, they are Fasttrack Midwest Touring Series that they purchased a francise from Fasttrack. I really do not see, where the Ferguson's are getting a bad deal here. What I do see, is rather it is the Cars or the Fasttrack Series, is better car counts for the Ferguson's. Once again these are the things that made my mind up to go with Cars.

Todd I still love ya. Rick

well lets see we have two sanctions and still no tracks close to race at.I find it hard to buy a latemodel.and go 90 miles to race for 500 dollars what happend to all these tracks we were going to have.I thought that was going to be a choice not who you like

Well once again I see my post about waiting till after the PRI show got missconscrewed. I was simply stating that the smart racer will wait untill after the PRI show to make any decision on which way to go, it makes me no difference which way you choose to go. Most promoters will attend the the show and make their decision at or after the show as to which way they will go no matter what santioning body that might be. Why do you think most of the rules meetings and banquets are after Dec. 3rd, no, there is a reason for that. After the show it will be a whole dirrerent ball game when tracks start announcing and letting everyone know what series they will go with. As for crates, like I said, go ahead and build your cars and start getting ready we will have tracks to race at. Just dont commit to any santioning body or buy your tires just yet, the rules are almost the same except for those two things. As it stands right now the racer has no facts on any tracks except for the four who have already commited, Montgomery Co.,Lebonon Midway, Lake of Ozarks, and Mt. Vernon. Have some patience my fellow racers it will pay off in the long run. As for which series you decide to go with I wish each and eveyone of you the best no matter which one you choose to go with.

Whew my head is spinning and it's not even Saturday Night

Hey let's bash the Crates Racing USA also while we are on here because they are another crate class ( sinister smile )

I vote NO

I don't race at TriCity, so my opinion doesn't matter much to you guys but here is my two cents.

Why give your money to a big corporation like GM, if you want to run a limited class why not just have a steel block class so the racers can still build thier own motors or have them built. In my opinion crate racing will kill the little guys.

So if I read the mess on 4-m correctly now we have a third sanctioning body trying to horn in on the crate motor thing when just a minute ago c.a.r.s was being attacked for splitting the field. What up with that s*** ? Sounds like these guys walk around in their helmets all year long. After a while the brain needs oxygen guys just a suggestion you might even make sense once in a while.

Fastrack Police

T.nie, the Fasttrack Post Police Is Here,it Is Good Someone Is Finaly Telling It How It Really Is And The Fattrack Post Police Is Getting Pissed, not One Bit Of Of Is Lies.why Dont You Just Stand Down T.nie And Let Fastrack Speek For Its Self, putting More Money In The Pockets Of Gm Is Ok,if You Need Something To Pull Your Race Car To The Track, but Lets Not Step On The Small Engine Shops, they Employ People Also, and Less Engines Being Built By Them Is Less People Employed.i Say Let Them Prove Them Selfs T.nie, enless It Is Your Money They Are Working With.

"But when you guys come on here, singing your own praises daily,"

Is this not how fastrack opperated all season? There were a few names that would get on here and talk about this and that and how great fastrack was and how great everyhting at greenville was, and they were all associated with the series. It was you, lilfergy, coolhand, and a few other names that all go together. So i guess what im saying is i dont understand how you can say this with out being a hypocrit?

What about the other crate sanctioning bodies down south, such as, crate racin usa? When you look at their rules they are almost identical for crate racing.you base all of your figures from where you live at. Cars base our info on the racers that live close to the tracks that we have signed. Would it make sence for some from montogmery county to come to so. illinois to go racing?no it would not. Would it make sense for crates cars to go to montogomery county to go racing , no it would not.Did fast track have a weeky series last year? No they did not. Both Cars and Fasttrack, are both putting on a new weekly series this year.I do not think that you have seen anyone from Cars get on here and whine like you have. This is America and it is free enterprise, the last time checked. Lets hope that both series thrives.
