DuQuoin Mile crate race!

Nick Lyons jumped out to the lead early. But within a couple of laps Todd Hall moved past for the lead. Bobby Melvin then got under Lyons coming out of turn two. The two made slight contact and Lyons spun into the outside wall.

Then a bad day turned into a worse day after the race. There was a big brawl in the pit area involving many drivers and crew members. Of course in this day and age, the fight was video taped and the police reviewed the video and Nick Lyons was the only one I seen arrested. There were many others involved as well.

If this would of happened at most any other track, he most likely wouldn't have been arrested. Unfortunately for him, the State Fair is going on DuQuoin and there were many, many Illinois State Troopers there. It didn't take long and they were in the pit area. There were a lot of them. They were everywhere you looked!!

LMAO I was thinking the same thing :D But imagine that, contact on a MILE at them speeds will put you in the wall??? HUH, never knew that....

There never should have been a fight though on the grounds. One track that dont mess around is DuQuoin. Seen it first hand when Moyer got into Bloomer... wasnt pretty:D

Was wondering if there was anything left in the CARS fund to help bail out the 07 champ? EXCITING RACE!
 
Tell us how the 16 car driver likes to stick his nose into other people stuff. I think he needs KICK out of ALL ump races 4 LIFE, maybe 1 day he will GROW up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why to go TODD HALL 4 beating the benton BOYS!!!!!!!!

Jim do you really think putting this on stl racing is very good. SMART MOVE
 
I guess the 16 driver was Garrett Britton..If you look at all the pictures Jimmy posted he seems to look a little worse for wear.

Why both of them are smileing. It looks all good. Hay if the rent-a-cops would have been there he might have got a ride on the 4-wheeler :) If they unloaded all the Amp.
 
if u think he started it your wrong he got ran over by the 38 then i heard people cry all day long we was cheating grow up cry babies
 
what happened on the track should be handeled by track officials. when he gets out of the car and fights then he broke the law. he got what he deserved. he needs to grow up and get over it.
