i was standing at the pit shack when all the guys that left early was heading out trying to get there money an they said they couldnt get it all back because they were over drinking the "free beer" i was standing there laughing my ***** off when that lady said that too them. Oh by the way WAY TO GO JOEY DRESCH #5d 4th in a car your first time in the car!!!!

Well lets start by saying very nice facilaty at godfrey. and on friday the people where very nice.
As for the race and excetera we pulled 3 cars down ther for a street stock race not a sportsman race. The name said street stock and bomer championship. I did get the rules and read them several times, made phone calls and changed some things on the car which included covering the bars on the back of my car because the rules said all bars must be inside the trunk. Those cars did not have anyting that looked like a trunk. As for leaving we where told we would not get our money back becuase of the free beer thing, however we left friday whenn the rain came and no one ever said s##t about free beer before hand. so we got our money back. 3 drivers 10 pit crew.
I think it is great that they tried to put on a show like this but they need to be more up front on what there diffinitions of classes are before people drive all the way down there. We where there when the scedule said to be there, to call people and let them come a day latter with outlandish cars just aint right

Written in big letters with 3 exclamation points. So, I would read all the rules, and since they dont clearly state "STEERING QUCKENERS ALLOWED" then I would assume that steering quickners are not allowed, kinda in line with the tracks regular show rules. As the rule says, if the rules dont address what you want to run on your car, then assume that you cant. Not hard to figure out, now is it?
If you want to work on a "real mad" go get "real mad" at the guy staring back at you in the mirror. Stop ragging on the track for your own mistakes.
Good Job to Wade and all the crew at Godfrey for a great night of good hard clean racing. To all the guys that have a problem with them, dont come back. You wont be missed.

looks to me that too many stories out there about what went on at godfrey,
it looks to me that they need to put atleast 3 people in charge of rules and they should have control of who gets banned and and who is legal and who aint, and they shouldnt be former racers but people who have no interest in any car or driver just some people who have knowledge of the sport and thats that.
former drivers and friends of the promoter should not be allowed to dictate rules, eventually if there are drivers getting favoritism time will show as drivers quit going to the track, i hope that doesnt happen, i love godfrey raceway.
kinda like a baseball game and all the umpires are the starting pitchers brothers, a few of the officials excluding wade should not be in charge of the rules. wade should be the final say, and stick to those rules and not have 2 or 3 other guys telling him different

Do you own a race car? Were you promoting the race! Were you standing there when all this was said? If not you don,t know what went on, because you said yourself you didn,t get there til late. All your information was second hand! When my driver came and told me that they were saying that the car wasn,t legal I couldn,t believe it. When I asked Tom Seets what the problem was he told me what the local drivers were complaining about. I told him Chad said that all that was ok when I talked to him on the phone, and Tom,s response was along the lines of he basically shouldn,t of told me that and there were too many chiefs and not enough indians. Did they DQ anybody for having air in thier tires? As for not coming back, you don,t have to worry, just ask the girls that gave are money back.

Lets see what else the rules dont say, umm, you dont have to have water in your radiator, oil in your pan, a temperature gauge, they dont say you have to be mentally competent, you dont have to have eyesight, legs, arms, or ears that work, a mouth to talk with, grease on your bearings, tie rods on the car, they dont say you have to have a motor, but if you do there are specs that govern it, you dont need a fan on your car, or a radiator at all, you dont have to have radiator hoses, you dont need to have a power steering pump, or that it has to have power steering fluid in it, you dont need to have an intake manifold, but if you do there are limits, you dont need have to have a transmission, or fluid in the transmission, you dont have to even be alive to compete. It helps to have a brain in your head, but thats not required either.

Also as others have said if you are the guy in charge you make the calls don't let the other drivers help you make it!

hot dogs....golly oh gee.....
thats truly a winner over the 30' spread of tables we had at mcs last night im not sure how a 1 lb. hot dog could ever be beatin by the thanksgiving spread mell laid out....
from chile / soup / pork steaks / hamburgers / hotdogs / soda / chips and all the fixins
my god there we such a cornicopia of food its sunday afternoon and im still full....
not to mention the thousands of dollars handed out for the b's and street stocks show from that night along with several thosands of dollars paid out for thtrophy night last night as well
and im not sure about complaints....but as i was walkin around the ceremone...i actually heard guys saying wow i never expected that much $$$....i would have been happy with just such and such....
so if yalls lookin for a place to come and race and belong to some of the best bunch of people ive ever had the pleasure of meeting

I was just wondering if any body had the guts to let us know what deals where made with the guys who showed up saturday. I really don't think those guys would have pulled for $200.00 to start.

Looks like the PROMOTERS are to scared to tell the TRUTH!! I was there both nights looked at most of the cars and the one car i thing there talking about is the blue camaro cant remember the #2or22. Anyway i was talkin to a couple of guys that was looking at the car when it when threw inspection saturday and they said it was a FAST S.O.B. I said how do you now that and he said ive been to the jacksonville track about 6 times this year and that car runs in the top 2-3 every friday night. They pull in about 35-40 cars. So just my 2cents maybe iy got around to the other drivers that car was fast and there were scared to run with it.. HELL i had my car ready for jacksonville id come down and race him.. P.S.
