Lake Hill Speedway?

Curt Allen #93
Dwight Barbeau #81
Dan Banderat #17
Willie Johnston #26

My aunt wanted me to ask if anyone knows how Kenny Schrum got his # of 66/99? Thanks-Danny
Kenny got the coupe out of an old barn a couple of years ago. He remebered who had bought it back at the end of the 68 season after winning an allied championship at St. Charles. The old car was rough but him and Jack Warner restored it to what it looks like today.

i know for a fact that if they open this track as a asphalt track which there isnt one within 4hours of here that my dad (doug klein) will immediatly begin to put a car together

we have been picking tooth and nail to get a track around here. we thought we hit it big when they almost opened one in ofallon along 64 but the people of good old o town bashed it.

They wont run cars there anymore due to the homes across the street but hopeing for some thing smaller or karts
Where's leadfoot you ok have not seen you or KEG pop up lately. Marry x-mass to all

Im going to guess asphalt since the track is already asphalt but lets see if the track even sticks aruond. But with that said the track and walls need repairing so they might just dig it up and start over or lay 3 or 4 inches on top. We will see.
Hay KEG any up dates.

Can anyone name these two old drivers who met again for the first time in 53 years on November 24th at Lake Hill?

Clue: I heard they came in 1st & 3rd for the championship of Allied Auto Racing in 1954?

Correct answer will come later this week.

Hay KEG, so you want to know if the track will make it? My guess is still YES. I just looked at the # of views to this post and there have been OVER 51,000 people look at it one time or more. Any updates you can offer?

Do You Know Who This Is?

Guess Who This Guy Is! From 1968? I SHOULD HAVE POSTED IT IN THE ST. CHARLES POST. SORRY.

The picture is of Bruce Humphrey and Kenny Shrum. Bruce was our announcer for many years after Al Brinkmeier retired. I know Bruce told me he raced and had a team car. Forgive me if I have misspelled any names.
