Also look how hard the drivers up front are pushing their cars. The class is all about momentum. Once you fall off the pace, you're done.

First off setup? Really? Look at my post....they are not supposed to be racecars. Sure they scoot around pretty good but at what cost. If your doing a setup checking the car over every week then there sre things done not stock. Just sayin. The class is dying and wonder why. Far be it for me to point the obvious outEver think on the other side of the spectrum that the problem is it's easier to point fingers than to actually take the car off the trailer and look it over every week? Maintence, setup, and the driver is what wins these races.
Pushing their cars with non rev limit computers and locked diffs. You keep strumming that guitar because the song its playing doesnt sound so good. Really as ive said as is any beginning class its way over complicated than it should be. 10 cars showing up because the ones who were stock got tired of getting waxed and lapped by cars wayyyyyyy more superior. Funny how wide that spectrum is from the ones who build cars the way the class should be and the cars built to run for pointsAlso look how hard the drivers up front are pushing their cars. And here is a point...i used to drive a sportsman. I drove my friends car one night. Wasnt the driver as to why it was slow...it was he was way overclassed. Stock cavalier with stock tires stock trans and a pretty decent cage. It now sits as a lawn ornamentPushing their cars with non rev limit computers and locked diffs. That is the street stock rules. Ues dirt combined pro 4 street stocks ect but there is also just a pro 4Here
The current tech is checking tire pressures only. Easy peasyYou don't need a tech guy who really knows all the makes and models. There are only a couple that consistently win. As fas as who it is, it's hard to get someone that everyone will agree knows their stuff so as not to be questioned yet isn't connected to anyone already racing by work, blood or friendship.
I find it hard to believe that Pro 4 would be the hardest class to tech. In every other class, Bomber, Sportsman, A mod, B mod and LM everyone is racing cars they built or put together from aftermarket parts. No 2 cars are exactly the same. In Pro 4's every single car out there was built to spec at some factory.
Holy cow, if you can't tech a car and spot the engine/drivetrain/suspension difference between it and the 100,000 other ones that came from a factory assembly line just like it, I don't know what class you could.
I can't like this guys comment enough! This is suppose to be a beginners class and for the youth to get the feel of it before they move up a class! How or why would a parent or a kid want to get involved with a class or racing when they have to spend so much just to get involved in this class just to see if their kid wants to do this? You can climb all.over me all you want but if you have been on this class more than three years and your only in it to try and prove a point or try to get a national championship.out of it just to say you have that....it's really time to move on! The problem is the tracks aren't informing any of the rules they have set for this class! You constantly hear how a track wants to bring bring in New fans new drivers to keep the sport alive....how are you supposed to do that when you can't even keep a class affordable let alone keep under control? So much more I could say.......This class was brought about in the stl area by Bob Wente. They weren't race cars just cars you race he said. Had to be painted yellow or red.
If I ran a track I'd give you 3 yrs. One to get your feet wet. 2nd to step it up. 3rd you better do your winning because its your last go around. Move up or pick another hobby.
There is no claim on a street stock but you can protest any specific engine part for $450.What's the claim on a street stock suppose to be? All though I have seen some for sale for more than $15,000
