Funny, don't recall it ever working.....and I don't know if its because that was just a bad line or it just wasn't that memorable of an event.

They are high profile to this audience. They have fans in the stands who cheer for them, wear their t-shirts, and have kids who idolize them, they sign autographs after the races, and promote local business who sponsor them. When their hauler pulls into the track all eyes are on them. Do you even understand what that term means? Perhaps you should google it.

Do you also understand that you have basically contradicted your own statement by asking that question??

jimmy is not going to allow a name being posted. he will delete the entire thread. it's a liability thing for him. as far as dirtboy, he don't know nothing. runs his mouth and nothing else. we do know you, josh. you dont have a car, never have, and never will. that pretty much disqualifies you from being any kind (even the tiniest bit) of an authority on anything.if anybody has a question on unloading drywall off the truck, we'll be sure to contact you. other than that, just like your signature line says.. talk sh%t.. its what you do.
 
I have never asked that names be posted. I tried to explain the intent of my first post (which I admit is poorly worded) earlier.

The issue I was trying to exploit is this. Dirtboy is a nothing more than a braggart who gets on here and runs his mouth about "knowing track champions who are puffers". What purpose does that serve????? Self-gratification for dirtboy and circulating more rumors.

All I was trying to say is...If you know something or have seen someone doing something.....friggin report them...don't add more fuel to the rumor mill fire.
 
i can understand testing the drivers, i get random tested because of my job. but, if your testing them test the fans also before they leave,seen many people in the stands throwin them down all evening then leaving in their vechiles, so which is safer to have around at the end of the evening?
 
You almost have to be drunk or stoned to spend $40,000 on a car to go race for $500 to win!!! With the car counts the way they are now, you start drug and alcohol testing the drivers and there will be no show to put on, thats a fact. How well do you know all your favorite drivers? Not as good as you think id be willing to bet.

dirtboy...it's got nothing to do with allied; it's just a general racing question. i have no allegiance to allied whatsoever... never have; so, when you say "allied rats" , i know you arent talking about me. i dont think the other players in this thread are "rats" either. just knowledgeable people with an opinion. maybe you should take heed. just some intelligent advice.

I have what I think is a great idea. I am old enough to remember when allied payed i believe was an extra 200 dollars to the winner when they went to small rear tires on the old modifieds.So that should be worth about 500 in todays dollars for any driver that is clean.We would see then you was and was not without pointing any fingers.With the great promoters we have in this area they could possibly get some one to sponsor this deal.Just a idea to help battle the drug problem that affects all of us.
 
Boils down to one thing............ MONEY!!! Who's paying for it? Do you think UMP will? I don't. Do you know if the promoters will? I doubt it. If It was gonna fly, the only way I see it doing so is if you have to leave the track in the meat wagon you have to submit to a test. I've been around this all my life and I'm sure there are those who partake in a little somethin' but I've never been under the impression it is a major problem. I can only think of a couple instances where i assumed or was pretty sure something wasn't kosher. Nevertheless, if testing was to be done I wouldn't care, I have absolutely nothing to hide. Just don't want the cost to trickle down to me or others who fly right.

Like I said before it does not matter to me either way ! Just don't test my driver 1 hour after the races for the alcohol ! ( LOL ) Who I do think it should be mandatory on is anyone collecting unemployement - Medicade/ medicare - food stamps - WIC or anything the government ( you and I ) pay for !
 
If I was still racing I would pay for it myself to have a chance at the bonus money that hopefully would be put up by a sponsor.Racers work real hard for the little bit of money they win so I think taking a drug test SHOULD BE the easiest thing a driver could do to add that money to his bottom line.The problem is what it may do to the car count but if all tracks do it and the guy is a racer the worst thing that can happen is he will get clean.
