That’s cool, been going to Pevely for a long time. I like the old days before they redid the dirt...Gundaker, Dixon and others blasting around the top and Mark Oller sneaking around the bottom. Any given night any of about 10 drivers could win…not that way now.

I was told Babb had already qualified starting on the pole for the race at Fairbury...the feature got rained out...this is the makeup date. He had thought about racing Pevely....but with the weather questionable....he rolled the dice and headed for Fairbury.

The racers will race under almost any conditions; the fans will not set outside under covered grandstands in 100 plus degree heat. The pitgate revenue most times covers the racing pay out, but NO fans in the stands equals NO profit!!! Why don’t you put your money up to keep the place...
