08-09 Blues thread

1st opening night win since '95 or 96, and they looked great doing it. their problem last year was inconsistency... they looked great for 40 minutes, then fell flat the final 20. if they fix that, then the playoffs is a real good likelyhood. i know that they are going to have some bad games, but the veterans know this and keep the young guys plugging. on the other hand, the young guys' energy and speed will (hopefully) keep the vets on their toes, to keep a step ahead. should be interesting, and i am looking forward to a long winter. hopefully they won't 'tank' like wall street! LOL!
 
Sounds like if you want to catch all the action at once you better go to Wente's O&W. I know he will be shownig all 3 and if Mizzou wins They're taking 20% off your whole tab.
Last nights game was awsome. The power play really kicked it. The rally was a lot of fun also, between that and the game my voice is a little strained today. priceless. Let's go get um tonight.

What a game.

Man what a game. Hopefully the Blues play like this the rest of the season and into the playoffs. The energy from the fan was awesome. The Blues played like they wanted to win, like they needed to win. The youngsters looked like they fit in really well with the vets.

Can't wait the Oct 24th that the next game I get to go to.

What ya saying Jennifer? I thought I saw the Blues get there but spanked bad tonight? Yes they will play like that all year. The short time I saw them play at the end of the game with 3 min. left they were just skating around on the blue line like they were lost.:D:D:D
 
Those of you that have NHL Center Ice can watch the Blues game off the Leafs feed. The Blues lifted the local blackout. I'll be taping it and watching it after I get off of work. Legace will get the start in goal. Mason could'nt stop a beach ball against the Isles. Lets get back on the winning track. LETS GO BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I don't have center ice but it's on 770 on direct tv. Hollweg just boarded Petriangelo and got 5 and a game misconduct. Somebody needs to kill that idiot. He just came back from suspesion from the game against us in the pre season when he did the same thing.
 
Ya I can see speed don't have any racing on today. Heck some sports are way over rated, heck the Rams even won.:eek: going to be a long winter I see.:rolleyes::D

That's what you call a character win Hound. The veterans really stepped it up in this one. Tkachuk look's like he wants to play again and Boyes shoot out goal was a thing of beauty. Legace did'nt let the three goal start get him down and came on strong at the end. Hollweg is a spineless punk who can't fight anyway. I was kind of hoping that he would'nt get tossed so Janssen would have a chance to rip into him. That's alright, Cam gets a chance at Sean Avery thursday night for dissing Andy Murray last game they played Dallas.
 
I don't care who you are or what teams were playing that game it was very exciting to watch, just so happened it was the Blues and we WON!
