B-Mods.......

limited mod show

Has anyone made a command decision on the rules for the Limited Mods? Is SFCR going with the DRR rules, or gonna allow alcohol? I stand behindo the opinion of allowing it, opening the class up to more cars should make a better show for the fans. Did you guys see what happened at I-55 when they opened up the sportsman and pro-4 cars to allow cars from other tracks? The car count exploded. Not only did cars from other tracks show up, but locals that had been parked came out to race just because there would be new guys to race with.

Btw, can anyone show me in the rules where it says that I cant run a Falcon transmission? It says "no bert or brinn". I didnt see anything that says no direct drive or Falcon. Thought to ponder

DRR rules. Bobby worked it out with UMP and Cory to sanction 3 nights at SFCR for the limited modifieds. DRR will be the ones reporting the points to UMP. Those dates are August 15th, August 29th and September 12th.

Here is the way I see it. If you were going to have to spend money to come to the Farmington race I'd be all for not changing any rules. But the alcohol carborator deal is, in my opinion, stupid. You want to get a lot of cars there, put on a nice show, please the crowd, and maybe Farmington will pick you up for a Sat. night track next season. There are quite a number of B-mods that run at Malden, MO. They have no place to run on Sat. nights. Their rule book allows alcohol carborator. But they are running strictly limited engines, strictly limited vacuum cams, on IMCA tires. According to mapquest.com Malden is 115 miles from Farmington. And New Florence is 134 miles. Why would you want to eliminate the possibility of several more cars showing up? I'm not saying any of them would, but I would come. I will stop this rambling post, in case you can't tell I'm kind of put out with the attitude shown, that if you allow that then 'we'll just stay home'. Why don't you do just that? Maybe 10 more cars will show up from Malden to take your place..or better yet why don't you run at Montgomery Co.? Woops forgot, they are closed, sorry!

Heres the way I see it, your not even a IMCA car, IMCA RULE>>18. FUEL: Gasoline only. Racing fuel allowed. No E85. No performance enhancing additives or scented additives. Fuel must pass both dielectric meter and chemical tests. Fuel sample may be taken from any car at any time (Refer to IMCA Operations and Inspection Manual or General Rules for automatic penalties).
UMP RULE>>15.1.I. Only a single 500 CFM Holley 2 Barrel carburetor will be permitted. If tracks would stick to the full rules it would be the same at ALL tracks. Your home town track is the reason your not able to run at any other tracks. We need one set of rules and stick to them IMCA or UMP it's that easy. UMP lets the track adjust the rules to there track wich prevents you to go to other tracks and the tracks know this, the sportsman class is going thru the same thing. If the tracks would run there sanction class rules then all cars in that class could run. MCS was pretty much A Mods with B Mod engines and that wont fly at other tracks. It's up to UMP and IMCA to TELL the tracks (like they do with all the other classes) run these rules to be sanctioned. It's that easy.............................
