Crate Late Models

DIRTHOUND DO YOU LAY AROUND ALL DAY LICKIN YOU OOs,,because i think the smell from your *** is getting to your head!!!LOL JK

DirtHound,,HMMMMMMM good guestion,I GUESS WE WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE,OR FIX IT OUR SELVES,,,,DUH,,what do you think we would do,OOOOOOG lets see here i hurt my chassis, should i FIX it or,pay to have it fixed,or buy a new one,,,OOOOOOOOO FU$% IT,,ILL JUST NOT RACE ANYMORE THIS YEAR,,LOL i rather buy a chassis for 3grand and a motor for 5 than haft to spend 25grand for a motor,on a giveing nite!

My Guestion to you DIRTHOUND IS DO YOU RACE? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

True Hoffner..chassis are cheap..motoras are not..buy one dirt hound..then come here and tell us what ya got. Go put 5000 on a counter and ask for one..theyll tell you..ey bud..you can buy the plugs...short bloc and 1 qt of oil with that.

Hey Dirthound how about you help me get the financing for a nice open motor, and show these guys something. I would make monthly payments, or weekly.

did the dog tell you Dean the point is crate motor lovers if you can't afford the up keep om motor how in the heck are you going to py for the repairs on the chassis and let's all make all classes as cheap and under powerd as possible ,yep that will keep the paying fans in their seats ,with out them you will not have a purse

Joe Garrison owner of GRT Chassis loves what we're doing. Is entering our Manufacturers Cup and donating a chassis to the points fund and a gift certificate to the highest finishing GRT in each race.
Mark Richards owner of Rocket Chassis said he wanted to start this class 10 years ago and just didn't have time. He is also is entering the Manufacturers Cup and chipped in a chassis to the points fund. Said this is exactly what racing needs. This will build the dwindling car counts back up at our local tracks. Not many can afford $30K engines, lot's of people can afford a $3K engine.
Dave Poske owner of Poske's Performance Parts agrees, he is carrying all parts needed for the crate program and is looking to do more.
Joe Lovins owner of Volunteeer Speedway in Bulls Gap TN, also said he has been wanting to start this class for about 5 years now. He started this year by allowing crates to mix with his sportsman, he now has a crate class running weekly for 2005.
I can go on and on. These are people involved in our sport and have been there for years. They know!
People these things sell themselves once people see them in action. The first time we ever talked to or met about 80% of our drivers is when they showed up at a track with a crate car ready to race. When didn't sell them anything. They saw it and wanted in.
If you are happy with your racing program the way it is, praise the Lord, stay where you are and I sincerely wish you all the success in the world. If you are in a position where you want to race and race a real race car not just a car that races and you are on a low budget, Fastrak is as affordable as it gets. It is affordable, exciting, and most of all FUN!
Like it or not Fastrak WORKS! FACT!
If you were looking to sponsor a race program which would you rather give your money to, a team spending thousand$$$ to even make the field or a team where @$10,000 will last all year and they have a legitimate chance of winning every race?

Doc

Give it up dirt hound. Your incoherent rambling is obviously due to lack of oxygen. It's painfully apparent you have very litle knowlege of racing in general and are nothing more than a bleacher warmer. Otherwise you are one of those 30,000 dollar engine builders pretending to be an idiot thats scared to death his gravy train is getting ready to run off the tracks into a deep ravine. Either way if you would even once use your skull full of mush for more that hallucinogenic absorption you would realize that cratemodels are not meant to replace super latemodels. They are an alternative to those who don't possess the finances to purchase a mega motor. The list is long of drivers who have given up something they love to do because of the cost of a fielding competitive UMP latemodel. If your going to get on here and run down the crates atleast do it in an intelligent way other wise mind your own dog house. Merry Christmas

Fastrak Midwest

Fastrak Champions Midwest Regional Touring Series

Who we are:

We are in negotiations with the Fastrak Champions Series to bring a Regional Touring Series to the St. Louis area. We will be the Fastrak Champions Midwest Region. Our goal is to keep all races within a 150-mile radius of St. Louis, Missouri. Fastrak runs a full blown Late Model chassis with a choice of three engine packages ranging from $2895 to $5400. All three versions of the engines are sealed from the factory. Clip cars are also allowed to compete and have done so very competitively in the Southern Region. With only one repeat winner last year, and that only resulting from 2 DNF’s in front of him it, seems as if the Fastrak method is working very well.

What we are proposing:

We are proposing to run fifteen points races paying a minimum of $1200 to win and $100 to start. We will race under the complete Fastrak rule guidelines. Fastrak Corporate has also agreed to furnish a $10,000 Points Fund and a $50,000 Contingency Fund. The points fund will, of course, be paid at the banquet at the end of the year with the $50,000 Contingency Fund being paid on a race by race basis for the “Hard Charger” award and another for the “Tough Luck” award for each event. In 2005, we will not be eligible for the “National” Points Fund, but we will be included in the 2006 season. The 2006 “National” Points Fund is projected to be $100,000 plus the Contingency Fund. The Midwest Region in 2005 will, however, be eligible to run the four $5000 to win “National” events that pay $250 to start.

What we need from you:

We need teams who would be interested in committing to run for the Midwest Regional Points. Please send us your contact information, (name, phone number, car number, mailing address, and email address). We need this information, as we are in the process of preparing our proposals for the area tracks, and need to know how many cars the Track Promoters can expect to attend.

What is required?

We require everyone who wants to run for the Regional Points Fund to pay a $500 Membership fee to the National organization. In return you will receive you first set of series spec tires free of charge. Tires run roughly $120.00 each so, in essence, you are only paying $20.00 for you Membership fee. There will be a minimum of $65.00 entry fee at all events. Part of the entry fee goes to the National organization in their efforts of training technical people, advertising, and promotional support. The remaining portion goes towards helping to pay the race officials. All race results will be turned into the National organization by Tuesday of each week, and the points will be updated no later than Thursday of that week.

Engines, Choice of Three:

GM 602 (355 HP) at 2300 lbs, $2895.00

GM 304 (410 HP) at 2400 lbs. $4895.00

Fastrak Crate (430 HP at 2450 lbs.) $5000.00 plus an optional 5140 crank and/or stud girdles.

There is also a swap policy in effect via corporate $1500 for 602 $2000 for 604 and Fastrak crate. There are also engine builders in place for the series making the turn around a matter of days.

Common Sense:

We are trying to put the fun and prestige back into racing. Why do we race? To win! No one likes follow the leader racing and the “money” teams always out front. Fastrak eliminated being outspent in the engine department. Let’s put Late Model racing back into the drivers hands and give the fans a show that can be excited about.

Count Me In

After following the posts regarding the Fastrak racing proposal, I am very interested in joining this. I'm on a limited budget for racing and the concept behind this has certainly caught my interest.

Fastrak Racing

I agree with Rustyracer21. I think the idea behind this is a sound one. I also think the proposed traveling distance is actually a reasonable distance as well. We've traveled further than that to race in the past. Who do you contact to sign up or get more information from?

Hmmm. Let's see. 2 new users, 15 minutes apart, both praising this new idea, one following the other.

I mean, come on, be fair to the people who are trying to get this off the ground, they need ACCURATE numbers of people genuinely interested, not people playing games.

Central Missouri Late Model Racing

We are trying to get the word out to the Central Missouri Drivers and Tracks. If anyone knows of anybody who is interested in late models please have them get in touch with us.

Thanks,

Guys just quit arguing. That's not what this is about. We've had replies and talked to some people, but we want as many cars as we can. Not everybody is on the internet. In fact most drivers aren't so spread the word to every person you talk to involved in racing. Tell them to give us a call or something. We're glad to answer questions. Come on guys. You say this is a good idea. Spread the word. Everybody knows how fast things can spread in the racing world, even in the off season.

Thanks,
Brittany Ferguson

Real Interest in Fastrak Racing

Didn't realize that saying I'm interested is playing games.
eek.gif
I just stated I thought the idea of the Fastrak racing is a good one.
biggrin.gif
So does my wife who is ptcrw4two.

As for the people getting this idea off the ground, I have talked to them and found them to be really nice and easy to talk to. Find out for yourself by sending them an email or giving them a call.

It appears that there are several others who are interested in continuing this discussion about Fastrak and isn't that the whole purpose of a forum?
wink.gif
How else are they supposed to find out if there is enough interest in the idea of Fastrak if they don't spread the news of it thru the racing community? There has been an excellent ongoing discussion of the pros and cons of it from what I have seen and IMO that is something that is valuable to any person who is interested in it. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Driver sign up

We could use the the names and contact information for any driver who is interested in running Fastrak in 2005. Please keep in mind that the tracks want to know how many cars and the drivers want to know which tracks. We are making progress in bringing the two together and are very encouraged. If you know of a person who might be interested please let us know so we can contact them.

Thank you,

Scott and Kevin Ferguson
