T.nie, it seems to me as I read your posts that you talk alot about acting responsiably and and tend to say to hell with people less fortunate.

And about how $89,000 is really not much money and if you can't afford it, tough.

All this talk from a guy that appearently isn't responsiable enough to pay his own way.

I can see now why you feel so comfortable with bush, he's never paid his own way either. when you are finished with your steak, would you throw the rest of us the
bone.

I said $89,000 IS a lot of money. You must have missed that. And I do pay my own way. Don't believe everything that is implied on these boards. As far as that steak? Let me know next time you're buying. I would love one.

Just a little food for thought......It was reported on Countdown with Keith Olberman tonight that, while it is a 3 hour wait, mainly because of the lack of electricity to pump it, gas in Iraq is a whopping 5 cents a gallion.
I'd wait 3 hours for a nickle a gallon fuel......$6.75 to fill my doolie (it holds 135+ gallions) instead of the nearly $350.00 it cost me Monday @ QT........

I know their country is getin' blown up etc. etc. etc......but hey it's nice to dream..........

TIM..from what I understand we (you,me and the rest of America)are subsidising the availability of cheap gas in Iraq.

I don't really think their country is getting blown up, so much as the billions of dollars in troops and equipment we have IN their country that is getting blown up. I have to agree with Fireball, it sure seems like we are the ones who are keeping gas prices down in Iraq. With our own troops' blood.

i agree with that!!!!!!!!!! And as far as China causing prices of other things to go up--guess who the U.S. is borrowing as much as 1 billion dollars a day from??????? yes you guessed it CHINA---------from a report I seen the other day if this continues china should own this country shortly and that is FRIGHTENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 5-10 years from now China is going to be the SUPER POWER that we once were ... And we have gold paved the road the whole way for them !!! J/M/O

If you really try to buy AMERICAN it is virtually impossible! Everything is made in China! We try as hard as we can. But they have the monopoly on Americas wants and needs. They are in an economic boom while we are in a downslide. Thanks to the U.S. We import their cheap stuff and close the plants down here in the U.S. due to the cost of making a QUALITY product for more. Are the exports equalling the imports? Heck even Levi Strauss closed their last plant recently here in the U. S. to go over seas due to more profitability. Yep pay someone 5-10 dollars a day as to and hour. And the companies are jumping U.S. soil to make a buck. And they have more military man power than we have people here in the states ... They are setting us and everyone else up to be their puppets on a string here before long. :(

Oh, I don't know about that. China is still pretty third world in so many ways. It is big, but it is not effecient or progressive or technologically advanced. I still think we will lead the world for many generations to come. China has strength in numbers, but we have more sophistication and intellect. And Star Wars technology, lol.

Remember that alll that money we borrow on paper is just money on paper. We can dump that paper and not pay if the Chinese decide to try and use that as leverage and muscle in on us. It has been done before. Maybe the idea is to get the Chinese to loan us a bunch of money, drain them, then hedge on paying, draining them with our debt. You never know what is the plan behind the scenes.

Now, ask any woman, do you win the fight with brawn or brains?

There was a pretty interesting article on China in Time magazine a month or so ago. It is amazing how much their cities and economy have grown. For a communist country, they sure seem to have figured out capitalism. One reason they are becoming such a huge user of gasoline is because a majority of their electricity still comes from portable generators. Also, I thought I saw something recently that they passed the U.S. as number one in the amount of coal used. They can claim credit for all of these advances, but we can still be proud as Americans for coming up with the new Dukes of Hazard movie. :)

Hey T.nie, I just found out the price of gas in Iraq today: Get this, 5-cents!!
the only reason its 5 cents a gallon is,,that nobody wants to drive in fear of getting their A $$ blown up!!!,hehehe

Gas prices are COMING DOWN!!! Yeah! Maybe that's a sign of good things ahead for the 2006 racing season...
