Gas prices are going to be the death of racing

I don't have "new thread" at the top of my page. I do have "new posts" but i go there and I still have no luck.

I'm just amazed at the magical powers that the office of president has. Wow, if he wanted to he could just drop the prices but instead wants to just make things difficult for all of us poor folk. There are a lot of people who do not seem to understand that regardless of who is in the White House, that they cannot just waive a magic wand and fix everything. Every time someone stubs their toe, it somehow ends up being the current president's fault. Does everyone think that these problems just pop up over night? We are dealing with something that it took decades to get to and neither Republican or Democrat presidents have been able to fix it. This energy bill was the first attempt at dealing with the whole situation in what, twenty years? Of course it is going to have some good points and some really stupid points after Congress has finished kicking it around, but it is at least something. Unless we just level the Middle East and Venezuala, take over their oil industries, along with building refineries over night, there is no quick fix.

I dont know too many people who can afford to go racing or are even involved in the sport earning less than $20,000 a year. Those people don't play golf or tennis or do much of anything, either. They do however, find the money to smoke, drink and hit the casinos. Imagine that. Of course, there are always exceptions.

T.nie, speaking for all the people who make $20,000 and under - SCREW YOU! I didn't realize we were imposing on your private club. And for your ignorant azz information I don't smoke, drink or gamble and never have.

Jeff, I used to think you were really a good guy, working hard to promote racing, dedicated to the RAMS, all that stuff you so avidly self-promote. Now, I see why you are no longer welcome among so many people. The bottom line is "Agree with Jeff... or ELSE!!!" And for your information, the line about "there are always exceptions" meant the people who earn less than $20 grand a year who don't drink, smoke or gamble, of which there are many. Many that I personally know. Many that don't gripe about everything, cause trouble, or **** stir. Unlike you.

Have a nice day, Jeff. And screw you, too.:D

It has nothing to do with agree with me or else, you're the one who basically said lower income people were lucky to be able to attend. Remember: "Racing is a luxury that is beyond many people's means." And your line about there are always exceptions is nothing more than a escape clause so you can swing on both sides of the fence. I'm pretty sure you can justify virtually every statement, at least in your own mind....

Yeah, and which part of being poor and not being able to afford to go to the races didn't you get? Tell me where that statement is false? Yes, people who are less well off cannot afford the LUXURY or racing and race cars. Damn right.

Sorry if that is not what you want to hear. But the only people you seem to not have a problem with are all the ones who agree with you. I don't think gas prices will kill racing, as much as you seem to want that to happen so you can be right. Of course, that's a T.NIE fairy tale, and my mommy and daddy pay all my bills. What an azzhole to drag my parents into your garbage. Truth is, without my parents help on the expenses of my own car, and the help of others, I would not be able to race. But of course, to you, that is something negative, something to use to smear me with. You are one lowlife piece of shyt dragging my parents into your cesspit of garbage and stupidity. I won't be forgetting that any time soon.

Face it Jeff, the only thing you seem to be good at it is pointing out all the doom and gloom in the world and bashing other people. That's it. Check out all of your threads in the last six months. The RAMS bashing, gas prices will kill racing, Modified driver killed. Yeah, you bet, if there is bad news or a way to bash someone Jeff Mills will be the one leading the charge.

All this from a guy who claims to want to "promote" racing. You sure have a funny way of promoting racing, by only starting arguments and pointing out the negative.

What ya all gonna do when the truckers just stop the trucks and nothing is moving? Gas keeps going up, they will be doing just that, better think of stocking up on food and things you need for everyday living. Gonna get rough in a few weeks if those trucks stop moving.............

my father owns a family owned trucking company,he makes around 100,000 a year on one truck and we have 3,he sees about 1/2 to 3/4 of what each truck makes.he spends on an average depending on how hard he is running between $300-$600 dollars A WEEK in fuel charges for each truck.im not gonna set here and say that gas is killing him cause lets face it he makes a great living, but i will say that it makes it harder.he used to be able to run 2 weeks and spend 2 weeks off,now he has to run during the week and be off on the weekends..

as for racing-i race 2 to 3 times a week.i spend about $200-$250 dollars a weekend between two tracks entry fee, fuel, and a little bit to eat.if gas would be back down to the NORMAL cost it was then i could cut probably $75 off what i spend every week, which is $300 a month and $3600 a year.may not seem like alot but it ads up in the end.

now do i think this will kill dirt track racing,NO.do i think it has made a HUGE impact on dirt track racing,'hell yes' i know it has.

T.nie I was completely wrong... You're just nuts! I wasn't trying to hit a nerve when I said something about mommie paying for everything but I guess the truth hurts. I wasn't dragging anyone into things I was just jabbing at you... If you want to know the truth I think it's pretty cool your parents support you! That's nothing to be embarrassed about, it's something to be proud of.

Sprint28 I would be at SFCR more but I work at BRSD on the same nights we race at SFCR... Believe me, I miss everyone but the people at BRSD are also top notch!

The truth doesn't hurt Jeff. I am grateful to them for their help and support, along with the MANY people who help me and support me in my racing, not just my parents.

I think you said it all when you said 'taking jabs" at me. It is one thing to disagree, and another completely to make it a personal attack and to try and use my family as an insult.

Like I already said, it takes a real lowlife piece of shyt to stoop that low, and now I know how low you will go.

T.nie, I had just got through editing that one post to tell you that's great your parents do support you. Don't take things so damn personal. We've bit-ched at each other before so don't go soft on me now. Just chill out and put your credit cards up. Believe me, if I was going to stoop low something like that wouldn't even make the scale. After all the crap you give me and other people on here you should invest in a better grade of toliet paper.

Ive helped tnie out in everyway I can with his racing. Along with others involved in the racing venture. So, Does that mean I have to change my brand of toilet paper also ?????? :)
