I-55 Ken Schrader Modified Challege Updates....

control

Korte has never been proven to have any control in a racecar, let alone throttle control. Please give me a break on that one, but he's not the only one that could be accused of it......meaning traction control

Thats like their all star race. Money is out of the picture, prides on the line. If you say top drivers from all over competing for over $2500 that just dont sound right. It should say top drivers from 3-5 tracks in the midwest area. lol
Maybe they'll hire you to write their ad next time.

Bryan55,moonboy,mr.evil & others sticking up for I-55,
You guys are afraid to accept the fact you pay for an inferior product WAY too much. You're scared to think how foolish you've been in wasting your time and money to see dribble.
Bryan55-you told me I could have left and you're correct but how many times have we all been at the races just hoping the next race will be better or maybe by feature time the track will come around?
Mr.evil -you said by me badmouthing the track I am making myself look like a jerk.I guarantee you more people agree with me than you.A business either won't change or won't know to change their business policies unless they hear from their customers.I wonder whom you know that works there or a friend of someone.
Moonboy-I saw over on 4m that you said that I-55 has the best weekly races in the country.I'm curious what other states you have been to a WEEKLY show;ohio?california?texas?florida?Iowa?kentucky? Why don't you write us a list.

Wow I see you have lost your mind. To say the things you say and still drive to the track and pay your way in and take the abuse the place must hand to you makes no sence. The question should not be who do we know or might know but the question should be why do you keep coming back for more? Why do you have such a hard on for the place. If your not happy with the product beeing offerd to you why don't you go to a better race track and wine to them? Oh thats right I55 is the best in midwest for your money. Over look that part Kevin & Tammy it's just a saying, I love your track too.

As for all these claims about how no one could pass, well, no, we didn't see a bunch of charges from the back of the heat races. But that's because they started the races straight up. We still saw some great racing in the semis for that lone transfer spot out of each race.

You are right Brandon! That's why as far as qualifying goes...give me pill draw and passing points any day!

amen to to that, hey dirtface how money show out of st louis have you been to weekly maybe you sho uld go travel to all the local track in the US :D:D:D:Dand give us names of tracks that are better give you a clue each track has bad nights each track has good night schmitt happens

me I know Ray personally in fact hr's got me going to WOO event again which I said I would never go to again

Yes, the track was dry slick and rubbered up. But becuase of the banking and width of the track, I'd rather watch a slick track race at Pevely than at most any other track in the area. (other than perhaps Tri City.) I simply don't think that "**** your shoes off" tacky always produces the best racing. It might produce faster speeds, but that doesn't always translate to better racing. You don't necessarily have to have half the field banging the right rear off the concrete for it to be a great race. Sometimes it can be just as entertaining watching drivers working for a few laps to set each other up for clean, perfectly executed slide jobs.

Case in point, let's remember how rubbered up the track was the first year they ran this race, on that warm November afternoon. Yet Scott Weber managed to pass a gazillion cars on his march thru the C, B, and A main alphabet.

Pastaman GREAT JOB !!! The Perfect World Track !

Dirtface : Who am I realted to ? Not a sole at I-55 I can tell you that! Really not sure what the point was on that please enlighten me !

Dirthound: You going the the WoW show ? OMG I can't wait to see this!

JimmyD: Can you get a picture of this you know like you did Debbie and Jack a few years ago at the Big mod race a few years.

Some of you guys keep hollering TC maybe it's the tires as well on some of these cars ?

I still have not heard of the best track for everyone yet the perfect one!!!!!! Where the track is perfect every week and the checks don't bounce and there is no fighting and cheating .. Come on help me out!!!! Still waiting ...

Since you know what an inferior product is, why don't you enlighten us on were we can go to get a superior product on Saturday night. If you know of one better than I-55 I would love to go watch. If not then you don't have a leg to stand on in this one.

A better indicator on both the modifieds and late models is how much deeper Korte can go into the corner FULL THROTTLE (left rear never untucks) until the middle of the turn. How come guys like Weber, Walsh and Hancock can't pull that off, no matter what? Korte comes in with a modified, first year in a mod in a looooooooooong time at I-55, and can outrun the top dogs that have been there for years, without barely lifting going into the turns.....yeah, everything's on the up and up THERE.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing, just pointing out the fact of the race Wed.

All you people should get your pleated skirts ironed for this weekend and limber up for when you get lined up down on the front straight.Ugliest bunch of cheerleaders ever!:D
Look,I know pevely isn't horrible all the time but wed.was real bad.
If you guys are happy with it so be it,but realize that if you keep showing up then you'll keep getting the same product.
Myself and others don't go as often because of crapshoot track conditions.(that's all area tracks)
I wish I could travel around to different states to see weekly racing.
DIRTGIRL-not related to anyone AT the track~~just someone at the track's people.HOW CAN DIRTGIRL BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUALLY BRING IN WHISKEY/BOURBON INTO THE TRACK WEEK AFTER WEEK IN A SODA CUP AND EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT AND NOT KNOW OR BE RELATED TO SOMEONE?? I'M WATING ON YOUR ANSWER NOW GIRLFRIEND-NOT! One of the funniest things about this site is how people say "wait till dirtgirl gets ahold of you".
You're all what they call "useful idiots","drones","sheeple".
I wish they'd just leave the track untouched from wed.;at least you'd know what your getting and some of the cheerleaders that weren't there wed.(dogbreath, moonpie etc.)could come on sun. and tell their thoughts.
I think half of you keep going week after week because you think you really are involved in the racing more than just parking your butt & forking over the moo-la.You think the seat you sit in every week has your name on it and you couldn't stand seeing another butt in it.
If you "drones" think I'm an idiot that's fine.Have a great weekend at the races.
I will not reply to anymore comments so DIRTGIRL have at it.;)

Since I don't really know for sure who dirtface is and since he said he isn't responding anymore, will somebody point him out to me if he ever returns to I-55.

I go back because it is different every week. You never know what the track will be like. It is that way at all local tracks and I enjoy the racing at I-55 more than I do at the 2 others close to me that race on Saturday. Bring on tomorrow night!

I still have not heard of the best track for everyone yet the perfect one!!!!!! Where the track is perfect every week and the checks don't bounce and there is no fighting and cheating .. Come on help me out!!!! Still waiting ...

dirtgirl, that wouldn't be any fun! What would stlracing people have to talk about then?   ;) :D

dirtface....You think the seat you sit in every week has your name on it and you couldn't stand seeing another butt in it. You mean that seat in section C doesn't have my name on it? I disagree. That's the Cummins section and everyone knows it up there. I just allow someone else to hold it for me when we're not there.

Jimmy D...there will no more further pictures of me and that particular person together at any track in the future. Do I make myself clear?

I just hope that Ray (and Chip) have the ice cream stand open for me with at least one drumstick with my name on it, too! ;)

Having the track in the same shape week in and week out woudln't be as exciting for the racers. It's the guesswork, the knowledge of set-up, getting it right for the conditions, the talent of each driver, the prep work before the race, the condition of the equipment, the luck and carma of each driver, etc. Each race and each night is totally diffferent from the last night of racing. One night you rock, the next night you don't. That's racing!

Now, see you Saturday night! :D

St. Louis Area Racing

I have a very good friend that Does travel to different tracks 200 or so I think his last count and he believes I-55 is right up there with some of the best he's been to. Not saying it's the best, but I believe he wouldn't not drive from Pa. to watch some of the shows. I enjoy all the feedback he gives me on all the tracks he attends including tracks that range from just a bunch of guys making their own little track that have maybe 15 or so cars, to all the tracks up and down the east coast and a few in Canada. He also enjoys my feedback from our local tracks Pevely, Belleville, Ti-City, Framington and the rest.

I believe we are very lucky to have so much great racing within a few hours drive. And also had some wonderful racing at tracks that are no longer running. I would like to thank all the track promoters, drivers and everyone envolved in running these shows for us. I know there are many more to come.
