Medley's win??

tim we have a guy here locally that does them

I deffinately would take one, can you pm me his number. You guys are not only fast in the corners, you are fast on the take offs and down the straight. You guys have done a very good job.

WOW seems a little drastic for 3/4 of an inch. Iv'e seen front stubs tweaked that much. Add to that caster and toe adjustments. There really needs to be some tolerance there.

i am not an allied competitor(but i do play one on tv,heehee),but it seems to me, if you are sure that one of your competitors is running lightened/illegal crank and/or con rods, i would consider a protest and teardown.if you don't,then it seems you are not sure, and just blowing smoke. it would seem to be an e-z way to beat them, because they just beat themselves.not trying to be a smart a**,just saying it as i see it. again, i am not an allied competitor, so i don't care who does what.as far as the statement earlier about the car being crashed(and hence the possible reason for the wheelbase being not to min specs),if it wasn't crashed that night, then it had a chance to be taken home and repaired, then that is no excuse.

Don't take stuff out of context. No one complaining, just stating thing how I see them. If it isn't the same way you see it. OH WELL.

the thing is you race the car with the caster in it so you should build the car to be legal in race conditions the toe thing you just turn the tire till it is straight

hey j.smith; how did i take anything out of context? YOU were the one who said that you know of some cars who are running light crankshafts, and mentioned con rods, too. i just said if you are sure, then protest, and ask for a teardown! seems like a no-brainer to me. if YOU KNOW they are illegal, then call them on it. if you are getting beat by an illegal car, then they are taking $$ from you. if you don't, then quit spouting off about it. i took nothing out of context. i just repeated what you said. i am not trying to argue, because like i said, i could care less. i'm not a competitor.you said, nobody's complaining, but sure sounds like it to me. if i had a car who was running against somebody i know was running illegal stuff, i would be putting up the bucks for a protest. if i wasn't sure, then i wouldn't say a word.tends to make one look foolish.

Ive been reading the post closely and I was wondering, and let me say im in no way STARTING CRAP! My question is with the win would Troy have won the points championship? Troy is a great driver so in no way am I saying that Troy did this to win the championship. Im merely asking, if he was not found to be legal would he have won the championship? For all anyone knows, Troy didnt even know the wheelsbase was short. Did someone protest him, or was it a normal after race inspection? And when did the 400 points start being assesed to this type of infraction? I know a year ago two driver's had their points removed and monies lost for that night and that was it. I dont beleive 400 points was removed from them..
Again to repeat im in no way bias to any driver, but merely asking three simple questions in no way to be misconstruded with an alterior motive. If im in anyway wrong or misinformed, I dont expect anyone to take their personal soapbox out and twist what ive said!
Thanks

Not sure about the points but they did check several cars for wheel base. I was watching as they handed out slips of paper to several guys coming off the scales. I also watched them measure Jimmy Cummins' wheel base.

My question is where is it stated you would lose 400 points for this 1st time infraction?
Who decided this number? Is this going to be a normal number or have they ever used this number before? Where did this amount come from?

Also we need that number to the Nations motor man as well. With this price he might need to add onto his shop.. ;)

Still have not received the nuber to nNation's engine builder. I would surely buy a couple of engines from him. And one to keep for a street car.

Unfortunately I asked the same question? Where is it stated you lose points for that night, your monies and 400 extra points. Just wonderering wher that came from. I did not get it explained to me in a PM!

I think everyone would like to know "the rest of the story". Where did this steep of a points fine come from. Why not make Troy have a minus 400 to start next year out? LOL

I couldnt find that in Allied's rule book. And I know of another incidence not this year but im almost positive the year before, where two drivers where caught. Points and money stripped for that night and that was the end of it...Like I said not trying to be a #@%$ disturber, but merely asking a question?

Maybe in a incidence where the drivers are racing on a night where the points championship is in jeapordy. Such as a small points margine, maybe they should be checked at the beginning of the night? You know if theres a point seperation of say 80 between the first, second and third car, they all should be checked closely. Just my opinion I dont know...

Like I Said Earlier, Have Punishments Broke Down For Infractions. I Think Infractions That Aren't Something That Will Make You Win When You Otherwise May Not Have, In Other Words " Non Performance Enhancing" Should Just Be That Nights Points And Money. Infractions That Will Help You Win Or Make You Win, In Other Words "performance Enhancing", Take Them All. Print The Rule Book In Black And White, And Eliminate The Gray Area. If This Was Done, Everyone Would Know Before They Left The Track What The Deal Was, When These Situations Come About. It Would Eliminate Speculation, Accusations, And Ill Feelings. Except For The Guy The Axe Falls On! :)

I've always thought AARA just talk all your points for the season if you were found illegal.

Is the points for that night and 400 point penatly offical, or is that just speculation? I haven't seen a final points tally for the sportsman yet.....

It would determine whether or not I finish in the top 10......darn motor.....:D:D
