mmsp I'm told done for the year

The Westlings would be the best thing that happens to that track or any track around Mid Mo for that matter. That might be just an opinion but in my mind it's a fact. When I get the call from them to "come on down" my stuff is already loaded up like it's all dressed up and no place to go!
 
This place was/is on my "Bucket List".....A Liquor License or BYOB would help,along with an Owner/Promoter that has a clue. "Dry Counties" and "Local People" who think Racers and Fans are the "Anti-Christ" do not help!..I've never been there,but that is my .02!....Once you pizz off the Racers and Fans,you are DONE!!!..If Donnie H. would've taken over this track and raced on Sunday nights,I'm sure this conversation would've never taken place!..;)
 
Im thinking the same deal Westlings need given full power to operate the track as they see fit It might take awhile but i think you could build back what is now lost Good luck Hope it all works out
 
Just throwing it out there but I planned on running out there also and hope it gets worked out soon. I hate to see another track close down!
 
I saw first hand on the changes Jim Moon was doing. How many promoters do you see shaking people hands or telling them "Thanks for Coming"???? He was there for the fans if you needed something. Jim was doing a GREAT Job till Randy stepped in and told him NO we are cancel. I know and saw how Jim got mad which I do NOT blame him. Listen if I owned a track and hired someone to run it I would let the person I hired to run it. I would just sit in the stands and enjoy the races and go home. Call the promoter the next morning and ask how did we do. This is what Randy should have done instead of getting involved on the decision making. LET THE MAN DO HIS JOB YOU HIRED HIM TO DO!!!! The first few years if you break even you are good but weekly races do not pay. The specials are the ones that you make your money at. Casey Pearson tried to tell Randy that but he wouldn't listen. If you had 2 racers that tried to get Montgomery up and running and they BOTH get shot down kind of tells ya who is at fault doesn't it???

Easy to say when it isn't your mom eyes being wasted. I am sure there is a whooooooole lot more to this story than any of us even know. I am just so glad to be in the presence of such "experts" at running a track.
 
I dont think amanda was whining and i think actually she speaks for everyone who was there So lets let it play out and see if everyone gets a refund I personally dont blame the hard feelings being expressed as this seems like a good track and great fan base Just no structure

Actually not true. so lets stop fueling the fire with your crazy assumptions. If he said you are getting a refund, then sit back and give it time. I doubt its direct deposit.
and once you do get it, maybe then you should apologize for running around posting peoples phone numbers and whining about someone stealing your money when a refund was always the plan.
 
GrooveRider13 as I see you have just joined the racing forum on Thursday, you do not know how it is. Are you owed money? Sure doesnt sound like it. Then say out of it. I have a right to my opinion. I will never apologize for posting a number. I was asked to post the number, so i did. He was in the wrong and people want their money. So if in the plans always then why is it 9 days later and still nothing. The day I get the check, I will post I got it. And until then I will push the issue.
 
Changing grooverider13s opinion isn't gonna happen. He joined just to defend Randy. That's his right.

He doesn't realize we are hurt to be let down by Randy Matlock AGAIN. Not Pearson not Moon. Just by Randy.

Even if we get the pit pass refund that doesn't even come close to covering what we've lost by committing to a track only to be shut out AGAIN.

Easy to say when you aren't the one posting up the money. At least he attempted to give you something you didn't have. There are only a select few people that know what truly happened. None of which are probably commenting on this thread. ASSumptions are like the clap in the racing world it looks like...
and Amanda, things don't happen overnight.
 
What's not to know? I hear a lot of indirect accusations from you but not a bit of content. Tell us why randy was so justified in jerking everybody off again?
..and ru saying that bcuz randy was the main monitary contributer that nothing else matters as far as who gave what or how much? Jeez ur a first class JO. Ya know what they say, Birds of feather..

I have a good friend that brought their car and 10 people with them the last night. They invited the Sportsmans and our friends went. Now 300.00 dollars is not chump change. Typically when you leave the track you have check in hand. Why couldn't they get their money back then ? And to flat out refuse another driver with about 6 people at least with them at least to give the transponder money back was total BS. It was never used by the driver, I am not sure what kind of racing budget most of the drivers run on but these guys sure could of used that money for the next weekend. After all of this I am glad my better half refused to go and support this facility.
