Question: SHOULD ALL DRINKING BE BANNED FROM THE PITS???

I do think yoiu have to look at some tracks that are non-alcoholic to see the huge difference in pit problems though. I know there aren't that many around, but in all the years Doe Run has been in existance it has always been alcohol free and during that time I can remember very, very few major problems.
 
When I was at Poplar Bluff Speedway last weekend and I did not see anyone drinking alcohol in the pits or in the main stands.
 
Millsey..i think seeling beer..in the stands is ok. But on the other hand..that sometimes bleeds over into the pits. I like to have fun..and i do drink..but not to the point where ill cause people harm. there are good happy drinkers..and there are bad mean drinkers. Takes all kinds to make the world turn..so be it. I gave an example..several..from Godfrey..about the down side of drinking..only a few problems creates tidal waves. Especially..when the eyes of the public are around..watching. If we were in an enclosed place..security all over(look around at night..see security standing around at Godrey...or Granite to make sure there's no crazy stuff going around???) then..maybe itd be ok..but when people come walking around in the pits..kids included..is it wise for people to start partying? Ill tell you what the insurance companies will say..lol. Think it was 4 yrs ago..Tri City banned open flames in the pits(bar b cue grills)...lots moaned..some complained..some..well threw 3 yr old fits. But..this was due to insurance and fire department issues. And people..still came. Tracks have to do whatever insurance and..yes..lawyers say or..they get cancelled.
 
wow.. i get slammed here, 1 of them even was mills... and now it looks like he agrees with what i said. as much as you flip-flop on issues, mills, you should run for some kind of office. oh, wait... you are!!!!
 
You know, I just reread all of Midgets posts, and I didnt see any references to anyone in particular, apart from getting on Dean. And I knew he was referring to the previous round of DUI posts last year, cause I slammed Dean for his opinion on that one too. Probably more than most. But, this thread is about DRINKING IN THE PITS after the races, or during the races, or before the races.

I dont see how any of Midgets comments other than those specifically related to Dean were an attack on anyone else personally.
 
Art you are insane. I didn't "flip flop" on anything. I just asked a question. And that's funny you saying that I did that.. You're the king of that sort of thing.... LOL... And by the way, I didn't slam you. You know me good enough now to know that if I was going to slam you it would not be something suttle.
 
It all cool here. i wont stoop to the level to go around giving bad reputation points to someone who just gives an opinion. If i did that..kinda childish. Calling people foul mouthed when they come on here and just say what they think..is not foul mouthed. Its called an opinion. I beleive anyone should voice their opinion..in a manner that doesnt cuss...be vulgar..and abusive..which..we all did . Everyone has good points..im bit strong on mine becuase ive seen first hand what happens when things go bad with alcohol related to the cause. If anyone would ride with a wrecker driver for couple of nights..your opinion would drastically change too..trust me! I quit towing..due to the emotional stuff i seen. Its heartbreaking and the sad part of it is..was very PREVENTABLE!! And noone can demean my opinion due to what i feel..and beleive in and i do respect the others opinions too. Guessing ill get another deduction on this post too..lol.
 
Lol..i was on a distinguished road man..going places!! Jokin man..just ****s..not a cool thing to do. If id come on here..and bashed..cussed..and put people down..then i could see it. Just telling the side from a very different place.

It is not anyones buissiness to air anyone elses dirty laundry on the internet, it is constantly done to Bloomquist, it was done to Wimmer, and it has been done to one of our more well known locals on here.

I am not a supporter of drinking and then driving, I am however agianst the way alot of people act about others who have done it. By all means the most sober person should drive or a sober driver should be found, that would be a great undertaking for MADD or some other extreemist special interest group, to set up some on call low priced or free designated drivers, for when the DD leaves his buddies behind.

I have raced at places that do not sell in the stands and nobody has a few with thier friends after, there is not alot of socializing in the pits after the races at those places. If your post is an extreem position on here some people may dissaprove of it. Taking part of the fun out of a nites racing is definately negitive and anytime someone condones doing that, I will dissaprove.
 
I never said Dean..i didnt want the drinking. I said..that drinking leads to lots of problems. Insurance will do away with drinking very very soon so everyone should get ready. Made some examples of how good goes bad...and thats what this post is about. Giving me a negative about what i said was crappy..and thats fine. Do you see me giving you a negative on your comments?? No..becuase i respect your idea. But this post isnt about Dean's ideas. Its about drinking..and how sooner..or later..more sooner...itll be done away with at places that do condone drinking in the pits. Furthermore..itll be done away with in the pits..after said events are done. How do i know? I know about 3 agents...people i went to school with or worked with..and ive gotten some good info. Hey..i dont wanna see drinking go away..but..if people need to drink..to have a good time..then..is it really..needed? I have fun..dont drink till i get home. JMO
 
I actually think we need to address the ban on Coca Cola products at TCS. That is just not right. Pepsi? BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
 
I reread my posts..and they are not extreme. I didnt call anyone foulmouthed damn people..i didnt say..well..those who drink ****..i didnt say..people who drink are all drunks. If someone posted that you started feature 3rd..then caused a wreck..you gonna give a disapporval of that? its facts..and was just being stated. I personally wish everyone would behave..no fighting..no crap at or after the races..but that will always happen. Some people dont know how to express theirselves and create havoc. You are a good driver..well respect from people ive talked too. Guessin im just a peon..lol(crappy ole sportsman driver). And with a different view..not opinion of this issue. And yes..bring the coke in(not the one that you saw on the hood of the car)!! :)
 
it is no secret here that dean and i will disagree. as human beings that is gonna happen. but i never said anything in my posts that singled him, or anyone out, until he fired the 1st rounds at me. go back and re- read ALL the posts. i am exactly correct in saying that. i reacted to what he said about me, although he didn't mention my name, we all knew who he meant. then another 1 gets on here and wants an apology. no way, not happening. i simply said that that insurance companies and racetracks are gonna start not allowing the after race drinking on their property, due to the liability issue. that is all i said, and dean thinks i am singling someone(him) out. possibly, if dean re-reads the posts, he will realize that he let his dislike for me interfere with what was really said. if not, ok, too. also, on a side note, this is a public news source, the same as a newspaper. so anything printed on paper,like speed sport news, is fair game on here as well. sorry if someone disapproves, but that is life.
