Question: SHOULD ALL DRINKING BE BANNED FROM THE PITS???

Racin90, I think the whole intire insurance industry are crooks, and I do not have anything personally against you, calm down man, your getting pretty worked up here. About the peon comment I spent most of my career in lower classes, and concider everyone equals in life, just because I have a latemodel (that I have never had any support racing) does not in my mind make me better than anyone. You will get your "I approve" possitive rep points when I have awarded enough points to other people after yours to rep point you again, don't get so worked up. You are making me feel bad for having a strong opinion.

midgetracer, this is a good time for you to decide to avoid me as a topic of discussion in the future.

Diet Dr Pepper is the best anyway, Diet Coke is ok though. Pepsi supports gun control and Jeff Gordon, shame on Pepsi. Really though most food sercice establishments only have room for one fountain and choose a soft drink supplier based on what who will do for them, from the hot dog stand at the little leage field to Applebees to Eldora its all the same.

dean, likewise... you fired the first shots in this discussion (towards me). i did not single you ,or anyone else out until i was 'fired at',so to speak by you. maybe now you can see that. so, man to man, you have to take this one 'on the chin'. i am not one to back down from anyone when it comes to verbal shot-taking. i can see you won't either, and thats ok with me. i am done with this.

This is something that would be very hard to police. I do not feel that if the beer is being sold on the grandstand sides, the ADULTS in the pits should be banned from doing it. BUTTTTT .. i definatly feel the coolers should be shut during race times. It is something that some do to unwhind after the races, and i feel it is their privilege. I have been to Big River Sand Drags ( this is not a slam so dont try to bash me ) and their officials drink DURING the races ! I definatly do not feel this is professional at all. Especialy if you are down working around the track area. I do realize they have a more " informal " setting but i personaly dont agree with that. And voiced my opinion to that before. Plus, everyone knows that their are past promotors that start and end the night by their coolers. Although the drinking at the track doesnt affect me at all, i just feel it is something that is everyones personal right to do. LD

Just a quick question. My wife was hit in the head by flying debris at a race track. Lawyers told me the track would not be responseable. I had to prove which car it came from and sue them. Now heres my ? How do you prove that a person had to much to drink at the track? So then how would the track be responseable? Are all drinking establishments getting sued?

I would think they could be held responsible in the same way a bar can be. But, the only thing that would make that tough would be proving you bought it there and didn't bring you own.

LD you know I totally agree with you on that one, plus we witnessed some other goings on at the end of the 2003 season. I'm glad to say that after some major *****ing and yelling by me (and a couple of others) that problem does not exist anymore (at least to where you sure don't see it).

LD, If all coolers have to be kept closed during the races, how in the heck will I ever get to my Milk. You know as they say "Milk does a body good!!!!!!!!" Do you think the concession stand will start selling milk just for me ? The"Hustler"

Hey Kenny

Yep ! I talked to the concessions people and they said they would be more than happy to sell you Milk... They said with a body like that, you need all the Milk you can get !!!!! :D LD

Im glad the " problem " at that track got taken care of. That is something MOST people refuse to be around........

Okay. . . . so, I have sat here and read this entire post and now I am pissed off. I am not aiming my comments at anyone, but just want to make something clear. DRINKING AND DRIVING KILLS PEOPLE. I know this to be a fact because 20 years ago yesterday my father was killed by a person who thought having "fun" was only possible while drinking. That person had already been in trouble for drinking and driving three different times, yet he still felt it was okay to go ahead and do it again. My Dad was taken away from us PERMANENTLY while the drunk driver was allowed to walk away and go on and live his life with his kids. That ****s. Life is not fair, I know that. But alcohol does have the power to kill innocent people. If you want to drink, that's your business. If you want to drive, especially drive a race car, then obviously you need someone to tell you the truth. DRIVING WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE KILLS PEOPLE. (stepping off of my soapbox)
