CONGRADULATES JOEY....you are the man!!! hey why are you trashing JOEY did you see what Jimmy done to him, well probably not i guess he is going to follow in worley's foot steps hey i'll do a SLIDE JOB on joey he's not going to get passed me..cause if he does i'll never catch up with him,but guess what the SLIDE JOB did not work LOL!!!! maybe Joey shouldn't of done what he did "BUT" if you were in his place would you of done the same thing???????HUH Jimmy was in the wrong also...GOOD RACING TIMMY MONTGOMERY!!!!! you earned that one...SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!

Why are people trashing Joey???? Are you serious??? Are you a race fan or just a Joey Montgomery fan?? What's the goal here, run off as many fans and fellow drivers as possible by acting ignorant???? Yeah, I seen what Jimmy done to him....he passed him.

I was once told by a wise man that it is useless to try to figure out why people do what they do. BUT, if I had to guess why Joey was so mad, it would be that by losing second place he lost a spot in the dash and a chance to get a better starting position for the feature. He wound up starting it in 11th. BUT, he had no reason to be upset with anyone but himself. Probably just a bit too much frustration and testosterone. Still not a good enough reason to do what he did, but maybe an explanation. Gotta admire Jimmy for keeping his cool though. Showed a lot of maturity.

Poor sportsmanship is an understatement! 2 times lately Jimmy passed Joey like he was on jack stands! Once was a move where Jimmy went from 3rd to 1st,Remember that classic?? And then again last night. JOEY GOT TAKEN TO SCHOOL! And it made him mad. Nice job Jimmy not letting ole Jo get in your head! The rule about the black flag was written for the 21 car! But an out of town guy would have been in hot water!

A member of the boo-birds!

Any disorderly conduct from the driver or crew member toward any driver or track official will be disqualified for the remainder of the night. Second offense will be disqualified for the remainder of the year.

this was taken directly from the 2005 rules on sfcr.net

Nice try dewey, but I doubt anything will happen.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy Saturday night after cheering him on this year and I thought what was done to him was just downright bull$hit. Enough said, I don't mince words and I say what I feel - I think I pretty much put it to a simple point.

i know, nothing was done and its over, but i did not realize that this rule only meant from the green to the checkerd flag.

Stuff like that keeps happening and we in the stands are going to watch someone get killed. I'd rather not see that happen, myself.

if this stuff keeps happening i am afraid there wont be anyone in the stands to watch,i personally wont go back to farmington.i know its no big deal, and doesnt matter to lose my 40$ a night, but how many others feel the same way, oh well just wanted to get this off my chest, although i will say sfcr has some of the best fans and will miss most all of you. be safe.

WHAT EVER!!!! i'll be back next year....Don't get me wrong i like Jimmy Hurley he is a good da** racer,Joey is too...you know this has happened more then one time out on this track and nothing happen so WHY TRASH JOEY at least he has never hurt anyone like someone else has(think about it) you know he only pushed Jimmy he DIDN'T PUT HIM INTO THE WALL!!!! AND YES I AM A MONTGOMERY FAN...:D

Thing is - I'm a Montgomery fan too, but that was uncalled for. I'm not too big into these sprint cars, but I've really enjoyed Jason Keith, Jimmy, Timmy and Joey this season. If you're a good clean racer, I'll cheer for you, but if you're dirty like others (think about it) I'll jump on the bandwagon and take you down as far as you bring yourself to be.

I hope all these comments help bring changes to St Francois next season, because it IS a good track. Just like the rest of us - it could use improvements.

You know, after going back and reading some of the other posts on this thread, I got to thinking...

If what happened goes unpunished, considering he is a track champion, doesn't that just lay the ground work for others to do the same? I mean, what's fair for one is fair for all (theoretically - in the REAL WORLD anyway). Like dewey, other fans will quit going to watch and the track is in financial jeapordy. I hate to see that because SFCR isn't doing bad and it still has even greater potential.

Evidently you can ram someone you get mad at after the race and nothing will be done because the checkered was dropped. Doesn't quite make sense to me but "rules are rules" LOL!

I was sitting in turn 1 and Jimmy did do a "Worley type" pass on Joey. Jimmy slid up into Joey and knocked him up the track. If you look at the photo of the pass you can see Joey's car looking like it is pushing and that was b/c Jimmy hit him. Now with that being said I like that kind of racing as long as its not an every weekend thing like "Worley Style". Jimmy doesn't do that kind of thing every week. This goes to shows that when the money is on the line he will take the risk and I like that, but if you pass someone like that you better be ready to defend yourself. Joey trying to run Jimmy in to the front strech wall was a little too much, but I did like the pushing down the back strech. Lets face it a little drama make things alot more entertaining than just watching cars go in clean neat and conforming circles. Pushing and fighting are part of dirt track racing. If fan doesn't want to see action they can always go to a drag race. I don't know how many times Joey has been warned by the track for that kind of thing but he didn't tear up Jimmy's car so no harm no foul in my book but hey thats just my oppion.

"If fan doesn't want to see action they can always go to a drag race."

I love that. Yes, I have to agree with you to a point, it does make for some good racing, but that was a bit extreme and someone could have gotten seriously hurt! Does someone have to die before anyone listens? I certainly hope not!

You can't tell me that if it was Joey running 3rd and had the opportunity to make the same pass that Jimmy did that he wouldn't take it? You know he would and he wouldn't have a problem with the pass as long as it was him making it and not someone else making it on him!!!! They said that the ruling is you cannot black flag someone after the checkered flag has fell, but you can DQ someone if they fight in the pits! What's the difference in fighting in the pits and deliberately trying to tear up someone's car after the race because they passed you..... I've seen people that have been DQ'd before for antics that were done after the race was over and definately should have been done now!!!!! What Joey did to Jimmy was definately uncalled for and should have been punished for it. Joey is a talented driver and doesn't need to resort to that type of behavior to win races. All that does is make the track look bad for showing favortisism and makes him look bad as a racer. In my opinion, Joey owes Jimmy a apology. Jimmy didn't deserve what Joey did to him.

I think Jimmy did deserve a bump after the race! ON THE TRACK. Yes the turning into him on the front strech was too much. I know Joey would have passed Jimmy the same way if it were reversed and I would expect Jimmy to give Joey a shot on the tail after the race to let him know he could have cost him alot of money in repairs by passing him like that. I had rather see what Joey did than what he 86 car tried to do to the 97 car, that could have been ugly. I just think hitting someone at idle speed is not something to be black flaged over but a sever warning should be issued on the first offence.

Blackflag after checkered

Black flags have been thrown after heats before,a few years ago with past owner's "the Gary and Larry show",Shawn King hit Steve Short after the heat and Steve went back and hit Shawn "HE Drilled him good".And they both got kicked out.And someone was going to hit Steve with the push buggy"WELL THATS A WHOLE DIFFERENT SUBJECT"

That's just it, Joey wasn't even warned after pushing Jimmy half way around the track and then trying to hit him on the front straight. If Joey would have gotten penalized or at least warned it would be different, but nothing was ever said to him! The 44G tried the same thing in the next heat race and they pointed the black flag at him. That was more than Joey got. I have to disagree that Jimmy would have done the same to Joey because Jimmy isn't like that. A tap is one thing, but he would have never done what Joey did.
