Smooth move Joey

sprint21fan If Joey is such a great driver why is it that when he goes to I 55 he never finishes he always pulls in the infield If Joey is such a great racer why dont he run with the best (world of outlaws) Everyone trashes worley but i have never seen him hurt anyone if you have pics to prove it please send to me. Why did Joey try to put Worley in the wall after he beat Joey and when Tiffany(5) beat Joey in the heat he got mad I think its because Joey wasnt in the spotlight and that just shows how childish Joey can be. Hurley can show Joey how to make a slide job. Maybe Joey forgot the number that Worley showed him 1 800 slide job. We go every saturday and we like to see fair and clean racing but its hard when Joey dont know how to keep it fair

Not sure is this is trashing Tommy Worley, but theres pics on STL,of Tommy hitting the 21S car of Landolt at Pevely and he went to the hospital, and 3 years ago there was pics of him hitting the 8 car of Short and he went also, and is still feeling the results, and there was pics of it also on stl.is that enough for you.

....

hurley made one hell of a pass on joey it was clean and gutsy, so i dont exactly understand why joey got so mad, as for worley jr. putting schrok into the wall..that doesnt suprise me. i was hoping schrok wouldve drove his car right into the side of worley's car but that's just me.worley ****s at driving a sprint car and should go back to driving a sportman but then again he'd just tear the sportsman guy's equipment up as well.when worley does win the only reason he wins is cause he's wrecked the driver that was leading. when i see the stupidity i seen saturday night at SFCR it just makes me regret blowing my money going there. and i agree with whoever said the thing about it all matters on who you know but anyways..the driver i wanted to win the whole time won. in fact he dominated! great job timmy montgomery!

speedracin I know what a good slide job is and what Hurley did was not a good slide job. It was what I call a "mini" slide job just as I have come to expect at SFCR were you slide under a car and move them up the track weather it be by contact or intimidation. A real slide job is like what Timmy did to Danny Smith a few years ago at I55. Timmy slid him cleard him and Danny chose not to "grab a little break" and ran over Timmy's rear tire. Half of the crowd booed and half cheered depending on wich side of the river they lived on LOL. Good slide jobs are not that common at SFCR if you go to Haubstat or Eldora you see how it is done right. The photo I am talking about is in the Photos section of this site under IMG_7923_edited. The Pic is a few seconds after contact was made and you can see that Joey's car is not nearly as sideways as it normaly would be in that corner bcause he is just getting back on the gas. It doesn't show the contact but i can still see it in my mind. I am not sure where you were sitting but I was sitting in turn one about ten rows up and I would bet my life they hit. It might have only been a "touch" but I know what I saw. Maybe its like a basketball game when the ref calls a foul half of the crowd yells foul and the other half yells he did not tuch him. I think the push down the back stech was ok but turning in to him in the front strech was too much. I am not condeming Hurley I said I liked the pass but like you said these cars cost way too much to be hitting someone, that goes for under caution or under racing speed. That is why I say you better be ready to defend you self if you try a slide job and you slide into the side of who your sliding. I know how much these cars cost b/c I am trying to put together a 305 car and it is costing me way more than I had thought. If someone slides me and takes me out from the side in a "Worley Style" pass then I will be ready to fight b/c I will be done racing for a while anyway. I was not cheering for the 35 or the 21 so my judgement was not clouded by the hatered some people have for the 21 and I say they hit. I makes me laugh at people who say they are wasting their money going there over what Joey did wow are they that misserable in their life that they are going to gripe about something ment for entertainment and unimportant in everyday life. People around SFCR area don't know how good they got it. I have to drive 1 hr 45 min eveytime I want to see a sprint car race. If they think they got it bad they should live five min from a track which no longer is open and use to run sprints. It just cracks me up that people say they are going to boycot a track b/c they don't get there way and they are not even racing. Our track used to not get over till 2 A.M. sometimes so would the haters please quit bad mouthing a perfectly run track it could be much worse I can tell ya that.

I have to say that I agreed with most of what you posted. I am not in no way trying to down what you said but I feel that SFCR is far from being a perfectly run track. I don't really think there are any out there. But I don't gripe about the track in general because the fans, employees at the stands, and some of the officials are great and people I consider friends but what I don't agree with is the favortism shown to some drivers. When you have people tearing each other up and nothing get done and then someone else gets black flagged for a "bump" for a lack of a better word then there are problems with rules that apply only to some drivers. SFCR as whole is a good track to run at but when you got problems enforcing the rules for EVERYONE then I think that sheds light on more of the bad than good. That kind of treatment runs people off from tracks.JMO

Jimmy Hurley's pass on Joey looked good to me. I was also sitting in turn 1 and you could see that Jimmy just flat out beat Joey to the turn. Then Joey got on his brakes thinking Jimmy was going to slide him so he could try to drive back underneat him. When he got on the brakes that caused his car to push up the track. By no means did they even make contact. Jimmy keep his line and flat out drove off from Joey. I think the reason Joey acted the way he did in this situation was becasue he lost his spot in the dash to what i believe is his biggest rival at Farmington. Joey hates to see Jimmy win or beat him. I have even heard Joey say that.

joey said himself...Jimmy bumped him, however he also said what he did was wrong and he shouldnt have done it!still not happy he got away with what he did but at least he admits it was wrong!...

Got to give the man credit if he actually said he shouldn't have done it. It takes a man to do an action, but a bigger man to admit when he's wrong. If so, I'm proud of him, let's just hope he knows what all's been posted on this board and thinks before he acts next time.

I thought this the pass was clean and it took a skilled driver like joey to hold his line to make it appear clean. Most other drivers would have went into panic mode and over steered and probably crashed. My hats off to Hurley for an awsome show and to joey for his driving skills to keep from panicing. Yes, Joey over reacted but I think he has figured that out by now so I think everyone should just move on with their lives and find something else to talk about. (MOVE ON IT'S OK!!)

xbrave that pic shows nothing of joey pushing up the track. his car is not as sideways as it is usually b/c he didn't drive it in that hard. his wheels are turned to the right, therefore, that is not a push. How are you going to tell me this is a perfectly run track. Joey won about 7-8 races this year and how many times did he start on the front of his heat? Almost every week except 3. Lucky? or cheating? You cannot possibly draw the front row every week. (Remember his g-friend works the pill draw) The rules change depending on the driver every week. Joey is too good of a driver to need to cheat. I've seen joey come from the back many times to finish up front, he can just plain get through traffic. Remember when he threw the trophy in the stands? Did he get in trouble? What about last year during the fireworks display when the lights were out and joey was in the push truck moving tires up off the bottom of the track. And the next week they have a burm. If joey wants the track watered, he gets it. Therefore i really don't have anything too good to say about the track.

Ok there is some flaws in how the track is ran but having a poorly run track is better than no track at all. I used to gripe about how the Benton track was ran and now I am without a track that I can take the family to b/c they dont want to travel nearly 2hrs up and 2hrs back. I understand why people dislike Joey but why shouldn't they support one of the only tracks that runs 410 sprints left in the midwest? If people were to stop going to SFCR then 410 sprints would be dead as we know it in Missouri. I really don't care who wins when I go as long as it is not Joe Dirt 97 but I like to see him win a few just so we relize he is still a threat to win. I beg people of the SFCR area to please not run down the track and stop attending races over the actons of one racer or current promoter b/c one thing about racing is that tracks change hands all the time so its only a matter of time before things get better. If people keep running the track down and telling other people not to go then it will kill 410 racing and I really don't want to see that.
