Something to strongly consider

Motor claim rules are a joke! Who in the world would only have 500.00 in a motor? When was the last motor claim? I cant tell you when the last claim was. Why, because everyone knows we have more than 500.00 into a motor. Sounds like bad blood brewing. you would be better off saying the motors have to be completely stock. As for the points races at montgomery, That is the only reason I joined the rams! If we are not going to race at montgomery then who wants to buy the old #1 chevette? Because I sure in the hell aint going to travel all the way down to fredricktown every weekend just to race. Maybe once in a while. We are having those races at montgomery to build the up the rams org. MOTOR CLAIM SCHMOTOR CLAIM. Why dont we ask kenny harris how much he had in his motor in the street stock class? !would bet more than the claim rule of 500.00. Everyone does!!!! Not to say kenny was a bad boy, everyone does and everyone knows it.
 
Steve I understand why we are running up there 6 times, i'm just saying it isn't a cheap trip. Just the same for you to pull to Fredericktown. I'll be there those 6 races. I just might be taking the night off the Friday before. I was just commenting on the cost of it. I was just saying Brian had a point.
 
I NEVER HAD 1000 IN MY MOTOR THE TRUCK WAS THE COSTLY PART GETTING IT BUILT.I RAN IN THE TOP 6 OR 10 EVERYNIGHT WITH A 3100LB TRUCK SO IF YOU GET THE HANDLING THE WEIGHT DOWN YOULL BE IN THE RUNNING FOR THAT POISITION OR EVEN WINNING.

WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK OF THIS TOP FIVE CHECKED AFTER THE FEATURE MAYBE SOME SUPRISE CHECKS,IF CAUGHT CHEATING TOTAL POINT LOST MONEY AND HAVE TO BE CHECKED AND LEGAL BEFORE YOU CAN RACE THE NEXT EVENT.I THINK THIS WOULD HELP WITH COST CAUSE YOU NEVER NO WHO WOULD BE TORE DOWN ARE CHECKED ARE WHEN ,ALSO MAYBE DO WHAT ONE OF THE OTHERS SAID INVERT THE FEILD PUT THE FASTEST IN THE BACK HECK EVERYONE NOWS IF YOUR FAST YOU CAN STAY UP FRONT BUT IF YOUR BUT IN THE BACK IT SHOWS YOUR FAST AND YOU CAN DRIVE AND GET TO THE FRONT THROUGH THE TOUGH COMPETERS WE HAVE IN ARE CLASS.EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU GUYS CAN RUN UP FRONT WITH THE BEST OF THEM WITH THOSE STOCK MOTORS HOW MANY TIMES DID THE GUYS WHO HAVE MONEY IN THEIR MOTORS GET BEAT IN THE HEAT AND FEATURE.MAN THE OFF SEASON BRINGS TENSIONS THE URGE TO GET THAT CAR AND TRUCK BUILT TO BE THE BEST AND DO YOUR BEST AND TRY TO BE THE TOP GUY AT THE END OF THE YEAR ITS GOING TO BE TOUGH YEAR BUT ON ANOTHER NOTE MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM #3 B&KRACING
 
STEVE I WAS JUST MAKING A POINT ITS GREAT YOU BOUGHT THE 1 AND JOINED THE RAMS WE NEED THE EXTRA CARS AND I ALSO UNDERSTAND WHY WE THE RAMS ARE RACING AT MCS TO BUILD IT ARE CLASS AND MAKE A ENTRY LEVEL CLASS FOR THAT TRACK ALSO IM SORRY IF OFFEND YOU BUT KEEP BUILDING THAT CAR CAUSE THE SEASON ONLY 3 MONTHS AWAY GOOD LUCK FOR THE 2004 SEASON BRIAN #3
 
Travel time??????

I travel four plus hours every friday nite to race with the RAMS because I enjoy racing with the RAMS. The perfect scenario would be to move in with Jason Brewington & drive your race car the 2 blocks to the track (might work for Racewidow)but the rest of us will have to pay the travel expense. Brian, since you are doing the math, show me one owner/ driver that is making money racing. Its a hobby, & hobbies cost money!! If you build a track in St. Gen. I'd come, but then you would have the people from Fredtown *****in'. MCS IS NOT GOING TO MAKE OR BREAK ANYONE. correction, it could very well make the RAMS a bigger & better organization, which is what we are all striving for, correct?I'm all thru typing now.:D :D :D
 
yeah he better work on that chevette cause I'm going to do some work on the ol pinto motor to speed it up like a set of plugs and plug wires:D :p :D might splurge and put a new cap and rotor in it:D :eek: :D if I really get into it I may even put a vavle cover gasket on it!!!!!!!!
 
I don't know how I got brought into this, but I have NOT moved in with Jason and that's not any business of this board!

claim rule

i read all the post and it sounds as if you guys need a stock class. i don't want to make anyone mad, but i mite. claim rule is a joke. ya! i have alot in my motor, but i am still a legal eagle all the way threw. smurf, just because your fast dosen't mean your cheating, and yes you could loose an up front person, but who cares, right!!! i go out and get sponsors to keep my cost down. i use that money to go faster with better parts. so the racer that has more money can do more and charge to the front. like me! i put the money in the car. it dosen't all come from my dad. yes he is a sponsor. and yes he's a great one also! end of that! this head i have is 665.00, but it helps me out in that i don't know how to build one and its easier buying from the experts, and get it right the first timeOK.... you know all my secrets. i told everyone and i'd help anyone out who needs help. if you want to go fast i'll tell you what to put in it and be leagle, but there's one thing you still have to drive it to victory. just because you have a fast car dose'nt mean you will win the race. you know what i mean.......... yes, there is alot of ways to make racing alot closer... my thoughts ... you do'nt need to invert the whole feild(pinalise the fast ones and put them to the back) but the dash winner flip a coin and see if the top 6 are inverted. that makes a hole lot more sense. to much at stack in the points race......we all make up the RAMS, theres fast ones and there is slow ones, that is how racing always has been. if a person can't aford it then get out of that hobby and find something else to have fun with. ihope i didn't make anyone mad, but i probably did, but thats just the way it is. i love racing against all of you. remember we have a good group of guys, lets make it fair for everyone, don't take me down , just because i have a fast car, or put the $$$$$ in it. i don't cheat and i won't cheat. i want to beat you fair & square. lets cut out all the cr** and get back to racing and having fun. love ya all........ Do any of you understand what I'm actually saying?


This class is trying to get out of hand and it's going to stop. We have to stop making allowances for this and allowances for that. We are going to have to put our foot down so the class is fair from top to bottom and it is still enticing for new people to want to join.

Just for a moment, don't think as just a racer trying to get his car ready, look at it from the standpoint of a new guy trying to get a start in an entry level racing class. Remember, this is also "suppose" to be a lower dollar class. Sure the guys who have been in the class for a few years are going to have an advantage for a variety of reasons, but we don't want to happen to us that happened to the Hobby Stock class (and that is basically pricing themselves out of existence). That's all I'm trying to do is prevent that sort of thing from happening to us. This was meant to open everyone's eyes and I think it has, but I'll tell you this I am going to be pushing hard to have something like this established in this association. We are going to have to put our feet down and very, very soon.

All jokes aside Wolf, a $665 head is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. How many people in this association are going to spend $665 for a head?? IF there was a $1,000 claim on that motor you wouldn't even think about putting that kind of money into a motor you would concentrate more on your driving and the rest of the car. In other words you wouldn't simply "out dollar" somebody. That's not what this class is all about and that's exactly the point I was trying to make. This was not something directed towards you personally, this was just a general statement and you just gave me the perfect example.

same as

the rule is the same as its been for the last 2 years. home work is what it takes with driving....... nothing has changed. we are still growing. it is still a entry level class... try getting in any other class besides a wanaby or hornet and see how much cheepper the rams class is for the amount of money we can win !!! right it's still afordable......... and no one is getting raped
