Something to strongly consider

rules

The vacumm rule surfaces every couple of months, people are spending to much on their engines. Never mind what they are spending on shocks, tires, rear weight jacks etc......... Duckhunter & Bob are excited because MCS is closer to home than the Rock and I understand that, racing close to home was one major reason we originally joined the RAMS. But all the expense of the touring series should be examined as well, it does add up and it can make a difference as to wether you race or not. Wolf's right I guess I can keep my entry level car close to home and race Doe Run, skip the MCS races and have enough spare change to buy a reserved parking spot at the Rock. Wow there are lots of ways to make racing more affordable. Maybe golf is the answer? yep I'm gonna surf the net and look for a titanium Dart club;)

yes a traveling series does cost money but man I would love to have something like your organization down here I mean you get to travel to other tracks and are guaranteed you can race and that you can be competitive and atleast stay up with the fast guys. Ask Bill and wolf how they liked Ark. Stock Mini's. You guys are guaranteed a good pay. I am suprised wolf even got a head for 650 the cheapest one I found was 1300 and mine cost 3000. So I really think you guys are following the right track. Later Bobby

JPR

I have a titanum Dart baseball bat that I use to insure safe entry & exit to the ghettos where I live.....:D :D :D

BOB?

Maybe you could get Aunt Jemima to ride shotgun and be your personal security? at least till the concession stand opens?

Smurf, pay attention to what I'm saying and not what you are thinking... I didn't say a damn thing about us being a stock class.

Smurfboy yous needs to chill out and releax. Me thinks you will be just fine, just fine after at least three chill pills and called me in the mornin.

take it easy on the smurf

Take it easy on the smurf, he's been breathing a lot of tile adhesive fumes lately.

I thinks the Smurf and the wolf must be releated. They types as good as old Aunty Jemima... hahaha...

Millsey the facts

we are still a entry level class you can run a stock motor and have fun and compete no need for a claim motor or a vaccum rule if you start that then you better make a car claim rule so somebody who works there @ss off to figure out how to make a stock motor scream and a car to out handle another can get screwed out of there car and really punish them...

the facts are and B4 can back me up on this... on a ford the power is in PORTING AND POLISHING THE HEAD AND/OR ALUMINUM HEAD
or a STROKER and Wheel21 will tell you dave and rick ain't got NO STROKERS

the straight facts
keep NO PORTING OR POLISHING heads in the rules and NO STROKERS

and this class will stay competitive with no claim or vaccum rule:cool:

Bottom Line

We are going to take our worn out Nissan ( I think Millsey said it was the 1st mini-stock in the area) and kick wolfs butt...
And when he does, Wes will be standing on the roof shouting,"This ones for you, Kenny Harris". I really hope you'll be there when it happens Kenny. Merry Christmas to all..:)

P.S. Then we're goin after Rick Ruck....:D

I appreciate everyone's input on this subject. It's great we have the kind of people who aren't afraid to give their opinion on such a tough subject. Like I did say earlier though, I am going to work hard on getting something like this approved. It's not something for 2004, it's to insure our future and the future of the class.

good points

well said smurf you understand what i'm trying to explain. bob i'm starting to get nervous about a nissan/ford run off. mike, i didn't mean it like that. i'm talking about the traveling cost ........

Now that you've had some more time to think about the basic concept of what I was saying, don't you think it is now time to start considering some sort of measure like this?

No porting polishing of head
No strokers
Stocks cranks and rods
