Something to strongly consider

Nothings changed Wolf

We are still going to kick your butt(640 dollar head & all) in our 1200 dollar nissan. Love ya man:D :D

Wolfy boy, Wolfy boy, Wolfy boy..... Ummm, Ummm, Ummm.. The man is just looking after everyones *** and your is included. If there was no Rams mini stocks where would you drive that ugly orange thing anyways. Keeps your eyes on the future or old Aunty Jemima gonna kicks your butt.

entry level class

win the ministocks went to the rams series the entry kind of went out the window we have grown and expanded out. makes it hard to enter and travel. if you want a stock entry level class you need to go to doe run. then when your ready to move up race with the rams and get your feet wet. montgomery county is good for our class. they built it, now we have to come.

this head i have is 665.00, but it helps me out in that i don't know how to build one and its easier buying from the experts, and get it right the first timeOK....

yes, there is alot of ways to make racing alot closer... my thoughts ... you do'nt need to invert the whole feild(pinalise the fast ones and put them to the back) but the dash winner flip a coin and see if the top 6 are inverted. that makes a hole lot more sense. to much at stack in the points race.....

.i don't cheat and i won't cheat. i want to beat you fair & square. lets cut out all the cr** and get back to racing and having fun. love ya all........ "the wolf" # 5

WOLF I THINK YOU READ MY POST WRONG BUDDY:D ;) :D

I agree you can have the fastest car and still lose (depends on the loose nut behind the wheel)

you will spend $600 + on a head to do the same stuff on a junkyard head then worry if the guy did it right!

Wolf I have never accused anybody of cheating but boy I hear how how every body cheats and I want to TRY to put a stop to that this year with more and better tech inspections:eek:  :p

so buddy get that dart head ready:D

hey here is a ideal to make it interesting race.....Why not just widen the tracks, line everyone up door to door, wave the green and see who survives.:D

That shouldnt be too hard with that junk yard motor!! they call it a junk yard for a reason. I am going to test your stupid door plate with my giant spike. Hey maybe we should have to wear armor like a knight!!

 :D i do understand what jeff is looking out for.enrty level racing(if there is such a thing)is what we are supposed to be trying to keep in mind.i think what we need is ideas on how to keep the entry level racers in the race.i still think we are close to enrty level as we can be but lets give some thought to help new comers to the sport.i still think(just my opinion)that if we allowed front wheel drive vehicles(alot of mini stocks tracks do)to compete ,we would grow very quickly.well the january meeting would be a great time to discuss trying to keep this an enrty level class,i'm sure a few good ideas will be thought up,merry christmas

Smurf

I welded the steering wheel on & cut a Darrel Waltrip excape hatch in the roof for ease of entry/exit........is that legal?

All B S aside, I think the guys with the least amount of money in their vehicles have the most fun. I know I have a great time racing with the RAMS....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO......Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Jan. meeting.:) :)

This class is trying to get out of hand and it's going to stop. We have to stop making allowances for this and allowances for that. We are going to have to put our foot down so the class is fair from top to bottom and it is still enticing for new people to want to join.

Just for a moment, don't think as just a racer trying to get his car ready, look at it from the standpoint of a new guy trying to get a start in an entry level racing class. Remember, this is also "suppose" to be a lower dollar class. Sure the guys who have been in the class for a few years are going to have an advantage for a variety of reasons, but we don't want to happen to us that happened to the Hobby Stock class (and that is basically pricing themselves out of existence). That's all I'm trying to do is prevent that sort of thing from happening to us. This was meant to open everyone's eyes and I think it has, but I'll tell you this I am going to be pushing hard to have something like this established in this association. We are going to have to put our feet down and very, very soon.

All jokes aside Wolf, a $665 head is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. How many people in this association are going to spend $665 for a head?? IF there was a $1,000 claim on that motor you wouldn't even think about putting that kind of money into a motor you would concentrate more on your driving and the rest of the car. In other words you wouldn't simply "out dollar" somebody. That's not what this class is all about and that's exactly the point I was trying to make. This was not something directed towards you personally, this was just a general statement and you just gave me the perfect example.

Millsey this class is to far forward to try to make it more stock.....
now I take a stock motor put it in a abused pinto for 6 races finished usally 5,6,7 that was fun for me If I wanted to run with the wolf I would have done more work on the car put a cam in ect. ect. the point is you can have a stock car and still have fun to get your feet wet the thing is to make every race and finish every race.

if you want a "stock class" the is realy cheap the rules would have to read like this

STOCK HEADS only 10 thousands allowed to be shaved of head or block
stock wheels NO racing rubber
motors and drive train to be stock to what came factory with the car

mmmmmm sounds like a wannabe or a hornet class

Millsey how much would you have in your new motor if jason wasn't getting a deal on shop time.????

your asking for more trouble there on the intakes for a carb and also you watch the FWD cars they dive in to the center of the corner then back out to the top the RWD can hold a line:eek:

and I thought the janurary meeting was going to be a quite meeting hmmmm guess I need to quite thinking:D

So you are saying that us Doe Run guys are step below the RAMS guys?

If the wolfs 2.3 head meets all the rules who cares how much he paid for it. what if it were a 2,000 dollar head, but he has connections and only paid 100 dollars. If it is legal you cant say anything about it.

Mike

I certainly hope that isn't what he was saying. I for one had a great time racing with the Doe Run guys & found all of you to be very competitive. Everyboby chill & go to www.ministockracing.com for some lighthearted fun....Merry christmas.....Bob

I don't think he means it like that ... he meant we can modify our just a little more than you guys like the rear weight jacks differnt nose's ect. ect. alot of us would like to vistit and race doe run but we are not legal for some of your rules trhats all

oh, behave!

ya'll better start behaving and playing nice with each other or i'm gonna have to lay the smack down on you all!
