Todd, it's not one mistake & you are fired!! It's one mistake & you are laid-off for that race! You can come back next race or next week. :D

Do they get to collect unemployment benefits until the next race, LOL. :p :D

This is why I pretty much think message boards s u c k. It was pretty friggin obvious that Terry was joking around, and yet someone took his comment seriously. I just don't get it sometimes......

If you truly feel that message boards s-ck so much, why are you posting on here?

Dennis was the track photographer at TCS, and he used to be on here regularly. Long before it became a war zone, it was pretty much a lot of leg pulling and a laugh a minute, rather than a place to feud, fight, and air out all of your grievances and gripes about other people/racers or businesses or whatnot.

Dennis rarely puts in an appearance these days. I think he is way too busy grooming the next Dale Sr... :)

Oh I don't know Brandon. Because. How's that for an answer.
Maybe it's because my life doesn't revolve around stroking my own ego and sounding like a pompus a s s on a public forum. Maybe it's because I'd rather discuss a problem or misunderstanding face to face with someone. Because more often than not, posting on here just makes it worse. Maybe that's why. Or maybe it's because back in the "good old days" this board used to be fun, full of humor and insight, and I just couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore. Or maybe it's because someone openly attacked someone I care about, over a comment made on a friggin MESSAGE BOARD. Gee I don't know Brandon, you seem to know it all maybe you can tell me. ;)

;) :) :) Thanks buddy, miss bein at the track. But having a ton of fun with Zach and Mike!

Guess I'm too old school for this crap buddy. :p

I don't know how long ago the rule changed at Tri-City but I was there almost every Saturday night in the mid 90's and the rule was that if you spin on the first lap and bring out a yellow then you go to the back. Also, if you need a push truck to re-start your car on a yellow then you go to the back. I can vividly remember Robin Lowry announcing this every week: "I know other tracks don't do it this way but it's the way we do it here..."

I remember vividly a situation at another track in the area a few years ago where a 2nd year modified racer made the dash, and finished second, giving him a starting spot on the outside of the front row. Well, this kid (17 at the time) was really stoked about his best starting spot ever, as most racers would be after 2 seasons worth of frustration. He proceeds to haul it in to turn 1 on the first lap and catches a push. He plows through the cushion, and comes to a stop without hitting the fence. After the officials clean the mud out of his wheel, he goes back to his spot on the front row. Second attempt at a start, he leaves the polesitter 5 car lengths behind coming out of 4, so the start is aborted. 3rd try, they come out of 4 beautifully, make it through turn one, and as he gets on the gas coming off of the turn, the car spins around on him. 6 cars are collected, and 5 are done for the night. Had the rule of "no free spins on the start" been applied, there would have been much less opportunity for the carnage that happened. First lap or last, if you are the caution, you need to go to the tail.

RIP Robin Lowry

Oh, he said "go to the tail..." Wow, when I first read that, I thought he said "go to jail.."  :)

Hey Dennis, good to see you're still around. Hope to catch up with you tomorrow night.

Douglas my old friend, how are ya? I'll make a point of looking you up....
Gonna be weird heading to Greenville without hauling the quarter behind us though... :)

QUOTE" If you dont have fans in the stands you will not be racing very long. So there for I believe you do need the fans so you can race!

For one the racers dont get payed from Fans money,,they get paid out of the pit pass money that the racers pay to get in!! so a race still could be held with no fans in the stands.! the first thing a track needs is cars,,then second is the fans! SO THE TRACK NEEDS FANS, NOT THE RACER,Look at the Fans that leave early from a show,Like when the late models are over half the fans go home,,so you think those other clases will not benifit,,because the fans went home,,LOL the racer gets payed !!! THE TRACK LOSES money when you dont show up to pay for your food and a ticket, what most BENCH RACERS think is that they foot the bill,,,NOT,your 10 dollars goes to the Owner of the track not the racer!
Well said Mister. Thank You! You saved me the hassle of saying it.

Too many people starting their racing careers in the modified division. It looks so easy from the stands though doesnt it?
Terry Chester

That is true! Also too many drivers with the "HERO or ZERO mentality! WIN or CRASH, one or the other!

BTW.....Pitboss, I do believe I seen a thread started by your brother-in-law. In which he called someone a fool in its title. If he can dish it he should take it!
