Time has come for this change!

You know what? After looking at it again it might be a Martha Boren signature, but I thought Marty had signed it.... I'll scan it and see if you can tell if it says Martin Boyer or Martha Boren....

LMAO @ all of you guys.... Does it really matter what anyone races? If the chevy guys want to make a better racecar with a better stronger built motor , They should look into a ford ...HEHEHE or if they just want the chevy they have to run better and last longer they should buy a FORD engine and give the chevy a chance to be competitive... But really I dont see why there is a big deal ,
9 out of 10 chevys prefer a FORD motor stuck under the hood

Chevys are great for 8 cylinder racing but sux for 4 cylinder racing( just my opinion ) I know they are like noses , everyone has one LMAO
:p

hi everyone! just been reading whats on here and just wanted to say this.... i am not worried about what the rams rule is about the rods because if you race at doe run you have to follow their rules. even if the rams make aftermarket rods leagle no one who races doe run can use them, it is doe run that i am interesred in seeing think about this change. it would bring the car count back up that i know for a fact, i have had several people call me and ask if i knew a soulation to the week rod situitaion, which i thought i did but now i know i was wrong lol.... i dont want to see or hear anyone arguing over this issue i have about rods, just wish doe run would think it over. thanks, brian

My Bad ....

Im on the phone right now with Martha " dont call me Martin " Boren and she said that is not her signature but instead it is Marty's. Marty was the treasurer at the time and he handed out the signature cards when getting their Dues payment. LD :)

I was thinking it was Marty because if I remember right he signed it and handed it to me at the time, but when you look at it you could easily see how it could be either one... LOL.... Marty "Don't Call Me Martha" Boyer.....

Allow flat sides or use of alternate body designs , your cars look like demo derby cars from the stands , chunks of bondo falling off , I'm sure you guys have been asked if your going to a derby when your at the gas station .

Just come on up at sit with the old man here and look at how cool those micro cars look on the track , It will be cheaper on the pocket book and look at all the extra time you will have with the family not having to bondo and paint you car because you have some pride in your sport and want to look good

Why don't you just shut up old man ! I have spent too much money on 3 spare cars to have ignorant people that just sit in the stands and ***** about what you come and see , How about this if you want to see a demo derby go to one

Mini stocks have always been a "STOCK" body there are plenty of cheap parts available just look !! Now I have to change bodies to run a race , whats next run on corn !

Flat sides will never get it. And no the guys don't get asked if they are going to a demo derby. It's also a matter of opinion about micro cars "looking cool."

Listen to yourself Stockcargirl, I didn't comment on your stupid post about putting Fords in Chevys, and you call them ministocks and with emphasis on STOCK. Show me a stock Chevy that came out with a Ford engine and I will kiss your A**! It is only a STOCK class when it is convenient for the person talking. And you shouldn't give the fans crap, they are the reason the tracks make money and stay open. So who is the ignorant person here.

hey pwracing and rest of the board look at the second post of stockcargirl. it has a period behind it it is not thema but somebody else who is "spoofing" you... that second stockcargirl. has only 8 post the real stockcargirl has over 900 post.....

Brain in a earlyier post with your motor builder I suggested that you guy get your info togehter and take it to cruise harris and bobby johnson see if he will allow it..... if he does then bring it up at the rams meeting..... in my opion as long as it is same lenght and weigh as much as stock ... make a "spec" rod for chevy and the fords I belive most would not have a problem with it and it would be accepted at both places... get you info ready for for the doe run guys and start there "build it and they will come":):)

"Well, Well so much has been said!" Here is my thoughts, like someone cares!

1) First it was I "Martin W. Boyer" that signed Jeff's card.
2) Ford engine in a Bowtie product! NO THANKS!
3) After market steel rods sound great if stock stroke & stock weight or heavier.
4) Flat sides! NO THANKS! young people like it when they see somone is racing a S-10 like they drive daily or some of the older fans remember back when they had a Pinto in school. I have only recieved praise on how my truck looks.
5) Members vote on all rules and by-laws. not everyone gets what they hope for. It's a give and take like any Assoc.
6) If the RAMS makes a rule and it's not allowed @ DRR we have again limited the RAMS to only 1 track and it's 2 hrs. away for most members. Besides the last time the RAMS limited ourselves to 1 track (The "ROCK") we were without a home when it closed. I believe we shouldn't do that again.
7) At the end of the RAMS meetings the president ask the membership where they would like to hold the next meeting. If there isn't enough North members there to say they will be at a meeting up north why should 12 drive north to meet 2 or 3 others (if that many).

PWRACING: I do believe it was DRR that told the 8m Brian he could use after-market stock length rods in 2004 not the RAMS. The RAMS have never allowed them. If DRR would allow them and write it in their rules I would bet most of the RAMS members would aprove it.

Cobra: You said there are already good rods (GM?) out there, if so what are they? I know the ones I use are the best GM S-10 rods and your lucky if they stay inside the block anything over 5,800 RPM's. The Fords are turning 7,800.
As far as S-10 trucks getting down to the Min. Wt. of 2,500 lbs. yes my truck is there thanks to a dozen saws-all blades  and a lot of time well spent.

Closing: I would like to say Thanks to Bill for the always current points on the site. Thanks to TrashDog for the Photos and also to Jeff for passing them on. Last but not least thanks to LeaDonna, Shannon & the current President for all they do for the Assoc.

Since we are trying to get our facts straight, know this: My original post was on DRR and was about the rod rule change. I have only seen the rules of DRR not the RAMS and at the time of my post did not know they were not one and the same. So when I got on this board I was corrected on that. Whether I like it or not, maybe they changed the rule to make it closer to the same for both, Who knows. The reason I got on here is because less than a half an hour after I made that appeal, Millsey is on this forum calling for Fords in every vehicle and it just adds to my paranoid conspiracy theory! Or am I paranoid? Go to Doe Runs forum, check the time of my post and then the original one by Millsey on here, mine was 07-11-05 11:39 and Millsey's was 07-11-05 at 12:02, coincidence, you tell me!

Yup you're right - you are paranoid! I personally don't care if you want to run a American Motors four-cylinder. All I was saying was it's probably going to be an approved track rule at MCS for 2006, we need to look at the same rule for the RAMS. And no it does not have to be a Ford.
