We need to get you a t shirt that says "will shoot racing for beer" on it...

Hey, maybe Tim will let Mike hotlap it..... or better yet, maybe Mike will let ME hotlap it.......or better still, how about I take the camera, Mike takes over as director of racing, and JEN hot laps it while towing you around on Little302's hillbilly bobsled with the sprint car wing on it? NOW WE'RE GETTING SOMEWHERE!

That's right, Millsey has 5000 posts, but he gets PAID to do it. It's just not fair.

I will post 1 million posts for the measly sum of $1 per post. :D :D

HMMMM what have you all been drinking he tore the sled apart to fix the 99

I have read some of the posts and glanced through some of the rest and would like to give a bit of assessment on Tony Stewart myself. I have watched a lot of NASCAR through the years and have not seen a lot of drivers that just seem to be out of control as often as Tony does. My first up close and personal experience with Tony came at Tri-City Speedway a few years ago. It was a Northern Allstars race and Tony was there to race. The car he was to drive that night and the next night at Tri-State Speedway at Haubtstadt, Indiana was already sold to someone in Florida who was to take the car after the Tri-State show.

That night Tony went out for time trials and ran into turn 1 like he was in a sprint car. He set a good time and started up front after his heat race. As they came back around into turn 1 on the second lap of the feature Tony tried to take the turn again like he was qualifying a sprint car. He pushed and slid so hard that he ran into the back of second place car of Terry Phillips. Tony hit Terry's car so hard that Terry thought that he was going through the wall. Terry, fortunately, collected the car and went on. In the meantime, Tony totally destroyed his car which hit tail first then the front end making a horseshoe out of the car.

Tony did seem, after the race to be truly humbled by his own stupidity. Even so, the next night and Haubtstadt he had his complete area fenced off and refused contact with anyone. He did mix somewhat with the people at TCS.

I have heard it said all too often that drivers from the open wheel ranks are much more accustomed to higher unbridled horsepower than that that of NASCAR and dirt late models. I am not saying that what Tony does is right but I do think that Tony has never, ever had that "experience" that brings life into perspective, that experience that causes a driver to reevaluate priorities enough that they do not constantly and consistantly overdrive their cars and the cars of others. One of these days, if Tony matures enough and lives long enough he may just end up being a good Cup driver but right now he is a loose cannon with a chip on his shoulder and all the other drivers know it.

I'd love to be the one that gives him that experience with my foot up his a**!!! One of these days he'll push the wrong guy too far, and he'll end up wishing he was Earnhardt going into the turn 4 wall at Daytona. The guy is a jerk and if I ever had the opportunity to knock that stupid smile off his face I'd be glad to do it free of charge!

You know it's funny, that's the one guy I've not seen him hit.... Hmmmmmmmmmm, what does that tell you.... LOL.. He's a chicken****....

I Have A Bigger Problem With What T-stew Did To Kasey Kahne At Darlington Than What Happened With Him And Rusty Sunday. Kasey Pinch Him On The Front Straight At Darlington. It Looked Like Nothing More Than An Accident Or Rookie Mistake. What Does Stewart Do? Goes Right Into The Corner And Drives Into Him Causing Kahne To Spin. First Of All......just Another Hot Headed Reaction. But, Secondly, Kahne Is A Rookie Thats What The Big Yellow Stripe Is For. 3rd, Darlington Isn't A Place To Respond Like That. Ask Jeff Gordon And Andy Hillenberg. Luckily Nobody Was Collected Into It.

From What Was Said On The Speed Channel Nascar Show. People Are Talking In The Garage About Stewart. If It Isn't Addressed By Nasacar, Maybe The Drivers Will Start Policing It!

I hate nascar, but if there is one person i know if i had a favorite would be the #20 car. he is agressive, talented, and fast all the time. he may get carried away sometimes but who dont, like someone earlier said, nobody complained when that black #3 did it. and last year or 2 years ago when stewart came to pevely he gave dixon a bad slide job and clipped dixons front end and they both stalled. right away stewart jumped out of his car and started pulling dixons sheet metal away from his tires so dixon could keep racing. that was just a situation where 2 very aggresive drivers didnt want to give that particular spot. stewart will just tell you how it is, like kevin harvick does also, they are both not afraid to say anything about anybody if they get into it w/ that person. i think there needs to be more drivers like him. i hated dale sr. but he was fun to watch and i realize that now that he is gone.

Anybody think Tony is bothered in the slightest that other drivers are ticked at him?

(any takers on my million post offer?)

Quentin. I'm very troubled with your opinions of Tony. Millsey i don't know you and i hope we never meet. Tony is a very agressive driver but that's no reason to wish harm on ANY driver.

u no tony stewart is a good driver i'll give him that but his engine isnt as big as his mouth thats the only problem i have with him

44Rocks, I didn't say I wished any driver "harm." What I said was I hope that idiot Stewart made the mistake of trying to slam Jimmy Spencer. Mr. Spencer would be the one responsible for "harm" to Stewart. And I'm hurt that you don't want to meet me...

Thanks for the nice compliment Sprint 32.... LOL...

To Compare T-stew To The #3 Is Crazy. The #3 Had Something T-stew Is Far From Having, And Thats The Respect Of His Peers. Maybe When T-stew Get 76 Wins And 7 Championships, He Can Do What He Is Doing With Little To No Uproar!!!

It Is A Known Fact, That The #3 Caught Flack For Being Overly Agressive In The Early Years. But, His Fellow Competitors Came To Respect Him When He Harnessed His Agression.

Its Seems Tony Has Forgot This Year, That What Goes Around Comes Around. It Usually Works Out Over The Season. Its Not The Instigator That Is Notice Its Usually The Retaliator. Seems If He Doesn't Like What Another Racer Does, He Must Pay And Pay Right Now.

I Used To Be A T-stew Fan, But This Season He Has Been Rediculous With His Beating And Banging.

As Far As Tony Being Bothered By Other Racers Being Ticked At Him?? Probably Not, And Thats Part Of His Problem, He's Probably Could Care Less. Maybe When They Cause Him A Few Dnf's, He Might!

I'd hate to have to interview him after he get's a couple of pay backs
Starting with the first pay back. That would be a suicide wish

Tony Stewart, Tony Stewart, BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!! This thread is getting old! He is who he is and chances are he ain't going to change for anybody, so if you don't like him, don't watch him race.

Crazyfan, not to sound like a smartazz but you might need to listen to your own advice on this one. If you don't like what is being said then don't read it.

Just read this on Jayski

NASCAR OK with Stewart: after the incidents this past race at the California Speedway Cup race between Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon and Rusty Wallace, few have asked what would happen to Stewart, saw this........But NASCAR on Monday said, no harm, no foul. Well, at least no foul. "We addressed Tony Stewart's driving before [Friday's] practice started at California and there was nothing that happened on the race track [Sunday] that we would term anything other than a racing incident," said Jim Hunter, NASCAR vice president of communications. I don't know if Rusty's had a chance to review film or video of the race, but it was just a racing accident. [Stewart] got loose. That happens. It just happened to be Tony Stewart." Stewart, who underwent anger-management counseling at the direction of his Home Depot sponsor two years ago, has been remarkably proficient at finding controversy on the track recently. He also banged doors with eventual winner Jeff Gordon, and drove behind Ricky Rudd and briefly lifted Rudd's Ford off the pavement with the nose of his Chevrolet. "Tony has a way of picking up the bull's-eye," Hunter said. "When stuff happens with Tony, he becomes an obvious target. He's a hard charger, there's no doubt about that. But so is Rusty and a lot of other drivers, and that's one of the things that makes our sport so great." Hunter also said NASCAR was not going to reprimand Wallace for his on-air comments.(Los Angeles Times)(5-5-2004)
