What a shame

Yeah lets bring all the dirty laundry NOT

For Ed, he will have his day in court and if he's innocent... so be it. I hope he is innocent. I loved watching him back in the day as well. However, for whoever is selling / dealing meth... I hope they get justice. Stuff flat out destroys people

Hey kdub what part of not don t you understand and rookie Ed always ran the high side

Thanks t.nie. It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about and how it related to the emissourian.com article I cited from May 2014. Wow! This is the emissouri.com article t.nie is referencing dated October 2, 2015:

I served on a Statewide Grand Jury in Springfield, Illinois in 2005 for a year. During that time we jurors met monthly to review requests from law enforcement detectives investigating crimes that cross county lines in Illinois. Detectives would request authorization from the grand jury to subpoena things like medical records, phone records, shipping receipts,… In short, the detectives would present evidence supporting their need for specific subpoenas and it was common to see the same detective several months in a row as their case evolved. But when segments of the criminal activity crossed state lines it opens the possibility to Federal criminal prosecutions. A Six month investigation, I’ve got to believe these detectives have done their homework on all seven individuals to move on arrests to achieve convictions.

Could you imagine if the video below were a conversation between two random individuals in Colorado named Kevin W. and Ed D.

It is a fact that marijuana (pot) is a Schedule I Controlled Substances under Federal law. When it comes to state law versus Federal law, whichever is the more stringent law supersedes the other. The current administration is not enforcing the Federal drug laws that pertain to marijuana and states right to legalize its use.

I like facts Doug. I’m now looking for information on the 10/4/2011 plea hearing State vs Edward C Dixon. Case 10AB-CR02635-01. Charges; 1501800 Theft/Stealing, 1502000 Stealing A Motor Vehicle. Missouri Judiciary, Franklin County, the Honorable I. I. Lamke. May I enlist your journalistic talents to write information about this hearing outcome? I’m really just interested in the Franklin County Court public records web link.

Relax T28. You might want to refrain from viewing this specific forum thread for a while. This thread has more than 8,693 hits already and it will continue to grow. It’s going to be a while before we get to conviction(s).

• Edward C. Dixon, 61, who was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 22, at a home in Union where officers seized a quarter-pound of suspected marijuana and some meth, along with about $1,600 in cash. He was released after posting bond, authorities said.

On Thursday, the prosecutor’s office filed a forfeiture case in circuit court to seize the $1,600 that was in Dixon’s possession, according to court documents.

Briggs said they went to the home searching for a female suspect associated with Cowart.

Briggs is the person who was talking to the reporters about the arrests. I highlighted that line because it clearly shows that while Dixon was arrested, he was NOT the reason they went to the home. They were looking for someone else. So you comment about "they did their homework to arrest these 7 individuals" is not entirely accurate, as Dixon was NOT the person they were looking for when they went to "the home." Like I said in my earlier comment, sometimes people just get caught up in someone else's crap without actively participating themselves. I don't know why Ed was where he was, or what he was doing there, or if it was his home or not, but it clearly states he was NOT the reason they went there. Who knows, maybe they would have been looking for him anyway, maybe not, but this article says he just happened to be there when they showed up and they were looking for someone else.

That's my whole point about let's not be throwing Ed under the bus on this just yet, because I have not come across anything that says he was part of the drug smuggling or dealing end of it or would even indicate he was using. I am not trying to defend anyone else in this, but facts are facts, and it's clear they didn't go to that home looking for him.

If you want to search court cases, look it up on Missouri Casenet. Might find what you are looking for there.

Damn! You're such a FN moron!!! Can you not interpret what you read? I said he was the original high side hustler. I watched him beat the boards down since the 80s. You know the 80's, back when Nancy Reagan was telling you to stay off drugs. I guess you didn't get that memo either. I can make a safe bet that you wear Velcro shoes, not because they're comfortable. Just for the fact that you are too dumb to tie laces

ed has been in the crime time news for ten years or more. its kind of sad because i watched him run a lot of races and likely win but like it or not,he has become kind of unsavory with his personal habits. just the fact that he was at a residence when it got raided kinda suggests that he isnt without guilt. what is truly sad is that with so many supporters,so many buying his t-shirts,so many adoring fans that admired him,it wasnt enough. he still listened to the demons that haunted him. he chose the other side. i know it takes a lot of money to fund a racing habit and at this level,it takes a lot of creative funding to keep it up. and im sure a lot of locals have some creative scemes to fund their racing habit. but damn man, this was ed dixon! its like tim tebow admitting steroid use. its big! i really hope ed can resolve things but lets face it,tis is a tarnish that cant be erased. he was so big around here.

God grant me the serenity to accept things I can NOT change, to change things that I CAN, and the "WISDOM" to KNOW the DIFFERENCE!
