08-09 Blues thread

Huge win for the Blues last night. The only thing that would've made it better was a win in regulation. Andy McDonald has made a big difference since he's been back. 5 pts. out of a playoff spot and we've got a chance to hit .500 for the first time in a long time Saturday night.
 
That ****ed giving Nashville a point but they deserved it. Their goaltender was incredible, but we got 2 points. Just have to keep digging. Maybe the team should beat Jackman up before they start playing. He must be in secret talks with the Brewer of old.
 
Nice win last night. Only five points behind Dallas who we play tomorrow night. Big difference in a year. At least this team works and is worth watching.
 
WE finally got one of those games we deserved. A fluke goal that only seems to happen to us and a short handed goal due to a bogus double minor penalty. That ref had his head up his --- all game long. How bout that hit Jansen dished out, that is defintley one for the highlight reel.
 
Yeah,Carcillo getting clipped with his own stick and the Blues getting a double minor? The officiating was attrocious.
 
Nice win last night for the Blues. This team is so much fun to watch. I don't know if there are 2 players in the league that work harder on the ice than David Backes and T J Oshie. On the down side, has anyone in the history of the league been beaten more or caused more turnovers than Jeff Woywitka? He is a piece of s***.
 
If the kings lost last night that will move the blues up on the points page and maybe give them a shot at the playoff's. Nice to see them stay in the game at the end.
 
As of now we are 13th 1 back of LA and 5 out of 8th. We have a game in hand on a couple teams we are fighting with but LA has a game in hand on the Blues.
 
I would really love to come out of Dallas with a point some how but it is going to be tough they have been on a roll.But i would settle for 2 wins over Phoenix this week.
 
What a game last night. Mason (along with the goal post ;)) was spectacular last night. Maybe there is a method to Murray's madness changing around the lines. The 'new' kid line of Oshie, Berglund and Perron needs to stay intact. They were buzzing around the net pretty good after Murray put them together. This team sure is fun to watch! Bring on the Yotes Sat. night!!!
 
OK some teams we needed to loose, lost last night. Lets go get some points. I know we are due to falter cause you can't win every one but at least a point will have an impact. Don't get me wrong I will take a win. GO BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Redwings @ Blues on FSMW @ 7:35 tonight. Arguably the biggest game of the season. We win, it looks like the team stays put. We lose, we might be sellers. Mason needs to come up big for us tonight. LETS GO BLUES!!!!!!!
 
Blues blow a huge game. We sellers now? The team played horrible but the officiating of Koharski and Auger didn't help. Nice fight by Janssen and Downey though, probably the hi-lite of the game.
 
I didn't expect much last night esp after the wings got spanked on sat but why in the world with all the puck handlers you have on that team is Jackman carrying the puck up the ice on the power play.That was just a killer for this team esp after the fight had the place rocking then you get a 4 minute PP.Ugggg.I think this team only makes a trade if someone wows them with an offer.We will see how it goes today.
 
In my opinion, and I don't know why it changed after it , Jansens fight turned the tables on us. We lost our momentum after that. A Jackman turnover cost us a goal once again, I swear he is related to Brewer. Polack was really messed up over the incident in the first, his head really wasn't in the game after that. The Blues have to get more shots on goal. Once again they got blasted but this time we didn't have the quality shots that led to goals. I think possibly this was a good loss because now they really have to look at the big picture and if they want to get to the playoffs they have to step their game back up. Seems like they started coasting just a bit thinking they were better than they are. Mason even said a couple weeks back that they can't do that.
 
Blues @ Lightning tonight on KPLR 11 @ 6:30. The Blues stood pat with the team so we'll see how they react tonight and tomorrow. Maybe Walt will catch fire now since he's staying.;)
 
Nice win last night by the boys in Blue.Actually bucked up for some good seats for me and my friends and was rewarded with a win and free beer all night.Time to go fishing for some Shark on Thurs.
 
Yea that was a great win and a needed 1. Need to play with that intensity we had in the first period for the whole game the next 2 to give us a shot at beating the Sharks and Wings. Yes free beer, got comped some club seats for last nights game so the dreades were a bouncing in section 114. Lets go BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Three points out of 8th and only 4 out of 7th. Hopefully the Blues can come up big against an elite team. Shut down Marleau and Thornton tonight and we have a chance.
