08-09 Blues thread

Biggest win of the season (although every win from here on out will be). That Oshie kid is something else. He was all over last night. Mason came up with big saves and was the nights first *. Hey, even Jackman got the empty netter.;) Next up is revenge on the Deadwings.
 
Can you say referees S---. God they were terrible last night. Those guys need to be suspended. I would hate to see them officiate a game that would make a determining factor in a playoff game. We need a goon with more reach. Jansen has been outsized his last 2 fights. Great win by the Blues. Like you said lets pluck some feathers.

Sounds like King will be back in full swing next year but with the way the GM's are jacking around the rules (i.e. fights), it might not matter. Seems like as the season goes on, the officiating gets worse.
 
Man i understand the reason for the boarding calls but man when your coming at a guy full speed and he decides to turn around at the last second what are you supposed to do and if that is the case why wouldn't every defense man in the league just play with there back to the play and nobody would touch them or they would risk a penalty.Sat at Scottrade should be a riot.Go Blues.

The rules of the game have changed so much in the last 3 years. 9 out of 10 penalties called were not penalties back in the day. However, It does make for more scoring chances. Bottom line is if the blues keep working hard, they will make the post season. GO BLUES!!!!!
 
Well I kind of agree with the STAGED fights they are talking about. I don't like those either. When your playing hard and something happens and that causes a fight that is what it's all aboot. This talking crap and dropping the gloves when they drop the puck is stupid.
 
Damn, stuck at work today. Hopefully I'll get home for the third period. If any of you guys are going today, do enough yelling for me!;)
 
Ive decided i don't want the blues to make the playoffs i just want them to win 1 important game against detroilet just one.We are Detroit's bit** and they know it they count every game against us as a automatic win.They have no fear of us in our own building they come in and take care of business and that's it.Done venting free food tomorrow at game hopefully a win.
 
Jackman ****s Jackman ****s Jackman ****s. Send him to peoria. Should have played Weaver instead of him.I think the A on his jersey stands for something other than ASSistant. I think they should have allowed the goal when the net got crashed, looked like he got pushed in. Thats the only thing about being there is that if you get to see it once on the replay your lucky. I think I'm done until the playoffs, tired of waisting my time.
 
One point out. I think we're getting teased and these games are our playoffs. I really hope I'm wrong but............
 
Big 3 games coming up i would take 3 points on this road trip cause these western Canada trips are always tuff.Need to beat Edmonton outright, steal a point in Van. and Calgary has our number so not expecting much there but this team keeps coming up with ways to win.
 
Four points out after a horrific night last night. If the boys don't get two points tonight, we're done. The Blues are running out of games.:mad:
 
Not the road trip we needed and apparently KT is done for the season with a broken wrist.Did we build the Scottrade over a Indian grave yard or something to keep having all this bad luck.
 
a very fun season

this is my first post on here and i am not here to bash anybody.but look at what this team did this year.through all the injuries,goalie changes roster moves.this is one of the funnest teams that we have got to watch in a while.i mean are young guys are awesome future looks real good.the addition of steen and carlo c.im not gonna try to spell his last name.mason standing on his head the last 2 months people we have had playoff hockey here for the last 2 months i am really proud of this team and no way am i gonna bash them .they have played there butts off.and if we do0nt make the playoffs i really think that are young guys have felt a little of what playoff hockey is all about.these guys never give up.come on down 2-1 to the flames on the road and come back and win it against one of the best goalies i think in the leage these guys play there hearts out every shift.every blues fan should be proud of these guys.im like everyone else if they dont make i will be bummed out but byno means am i gonna bash them they have given us fans the best 2 months of hockey we have had in st louis for a long time.and i am damn proud to say i bleed blue
 
Huge game tonight against the 'Nucks. Mason needs to have a big game and hopefully the kid line will keep it going. I'll be in 111 tonight.
 
Back in good ole 309 Lets go BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. And I agree and so do a lot of anaylists all over the league, if they don't make the playoffs this year watch out for a healthy Blues team next year.
 
Well the Blues have clawed and scratched their way to a playoff spot. Big weekend against the dinnerjackets. Make that the smokingjackets after the kid line of Oshie, Perron, and Berglund got done with them. Man, this team is fun to watch! Too bad the deadwings had to tank it against the Preds last night.
