I had to say something . :D

The He&& with the 11pm curfew I think that is for kids during the week.
He&& they (the kids) get at least till midnight on weekends .
and the last that I looked most of us are over 16 .
Man I know we all wanted our youth back but not that far back. LOL


So let me get this we all work hard all week to play on the weekend. But now we got to quit playing at 11pm! I say no way I played that game when I was younger and didn't like it then and now I'm older and I want my extra hour of play time at the tracks lol
i think in my younger days they made a couple of songs about this
Song 1 - We're not going to take it .
and Song 2 -(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)
 
It's just like the people who buy or build a house right by the interstate highway in the suburbs and then complain and organize for taxpayers to build them noise barrier walls. Our tax money constantly goes to build these walls for the "victims" of highway noise, even though the highway was there a long time before the houses were. We are becoming a country of "victims", and things look like they are about to get a lot worse.

heard a rumor about all this heard theres lime traveling in the dust over to this subdivision so if the epa was to step in and this lime is true there probably gonna have a problem...... maybe the should have theyre dirt
checked .... before this gets out of hand....... again just what ive heard.
hate to see them in trouble for noise problems and dust???????????????//
 
Well what I think is ALL the politicians are croooked and need Kicked in the NUTS!!!! I wont let them close my track without a fight........Kevin and Tammy wont let that happan,, I will start a petition for keeping the track open and I bet that I can get more names than they get to try to cose it!!!! What I think will happan if anything is put mufflers on all racecars, And a cerfew at !!:00pm,,, Well then some classes get cut,, You complainers and EPA Can take a flying leap in a rolling donut as for as I am conserned,,

You know if they have any luck with this type of complaint then the same thing will probably happen next year at Highland, Pevely and Belleville. A few years ago, Highland had a lot of problems with their curfew but they got that under control so I would hate to see the racetrack haters be able to pull another card out of their *ss.
 
Well if it happens to Belleville...that would be ignorant seeing as they have a sh** plant right next to the track!! That would be more harmful then a little bit of dust!!

letter of understanding

I own a house in the providence sub in Herculaneum I could throw a rock real hard and hit I55 speedway, I dont attend the big shows like the world of outlaws are the nascar star nights so i hear the noise but i am there almost every sat and any big show the sportsman run, we all understand that there is and has been a track there. We put a offer on a house in hardwood hills which is right about the race track and we had to sign a letter of understanding about the track. It stated that there would be noise and dust, we also had to sign one that the water pressure was not good this is just one point. Someone should check to see if these folks signed a letter of understanding. The epa should do the pollution level over a 365 day period, if they do the subdivison would put out way more pollution than the track. Hope it dont end up like st charles

Wow... I thought I was having a FLASHBACK ....I thought it was 1975 again...It seems they want to shut this track down about every 5 to 10 years.
It sounds like Granite City is taking the same game plan that St. Peters Mo. did to eliminate the St Charles Speedway. That is annex all the land around the speedway then build subdivisions then sell the new homes during the Fall and Winter and then Spring/Summer comes and the new home owners are having a stroke because of the noise and dust. Then the city puts limits and restrictions on the race tracks to cripple it, mean while the city is giving a tax break to the new businesses to the area.
The Pevely Race Track should be watching out too cause this will be happening to them in the near future.

(LOL),,,,,,Ok,now lets get serious,something tells me that kevin,tammy and gordon may just show up at a board meeting and make a good faith attempt to work out a satisfactory agreement with the city,then all 4 sides (track owners,the city,the fans and most of all the RACERS) will be happy....lenny g,,some time racer,some time promoter,most time peckernut
