Tricity rules meeting big turnout

Kevin I don't think these comments are all coming from B-mod guys

Just curious on how many B mod drivers at the rules meeting brought up this complaint? I would think that would be a good indicator.

Less than 1/3 at the drivers meeting were for it.

Also, IMCA does not allow E85 in B-Mods or stock cars.

After kevin said no to e 85 jim lafferty threw a fit then kevin took a standing vote on e85 out of 16 bmod drivers 14 stood up voting e85 be ran kevin said he would then think about it after the fact everyone voted for it

its not gonna make any difference whether or not u got a e85 or race gas carb if a guy wants to win hes gonna win another way.

That is my point also. It offers a very negligible performance increase, But, many times, during the summer can be bought for around $3 a gallon or sometimes even less.

I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just trying to inform people of the truth about it. It seems that a lot of people have no idea really what E85 is, or they confuse it with methenol, or the have been given bad or incomplete information about it. Then I think some promoters see it as some kind of voodoo and just outlaw it to avoid any kind of confusion. Then it winds up costing the racer quite a bit more in the long run.

I agree. Most of the bad comments or negative ones at least are not from the b mod drivers. and most of the conversation is about the e85. While im on the fence as to whether to run it or not I can see both sides of the fence. Its a shame though. e85 was meant to be used widespread to lessen our gripe on fossil fuels and this happens.

B-Mod drivers we thought this was a great idea to rotate the 4-Cyl and the B-Mods giving the B-Mods another track to run at and putting something neat together for the 4-Cylinders.

After reading these posts and the negative remarks. Wondering if this still a good idea to run B-Mods at Tri City.

We are rotating B-Mods & 4-Cylinders. Bell-Clair is rotating Micros & 4-Cylinders.
so after having a week to think about it revin , will bmods be allowed to run e85 at granite

Will tricity be checking the bmods that run the 602crate motor? And I'm not just talking about checking to make sure they have the seals . Cause a guy can go into them and do what they do and then install the seals. Checking seals isn't enough.

good point wahooracing, u see new issue of speedway illustrated, they give you a roadmap of how to cheat them up, funny thing though, they talk about cheating with racing fuels but not e85 the more I think about it I think the way to cheat with fuel is racing gas hmmm,,,,,rocket brand racing fuels,,mount prospect il,,847 795 8400

correct me if im wrong granite has open bmod all steel only motor doesnt have to be crate with gas 500 two barrel

Highland has allowed it for quite a few years in the street stock class. They don't have it changed on there web site, so until it's posted somewhere I will assume it is still legal.

go back to beginning of this tread,, revin said scott changed it to keep rules the same as granite

I seen that, but I need to see/hear it straight from highland. I'm not discounting anything kevin has posted. I wasn't at allieds meeting so I don't know where they stand on it.

Jmo, if you are a ump or allied sanctioned track, these sanctioned body's should have one set of rules that everyone follows, and not have the individual track change them. That way if you go to a allied track your legal at all allied tracks, and the same for ump. So you don't have to worry if I run at tri city and then go to a different ump track if the rules are the same.
