Tricity rules meeting big turnout

Jmo, if you are a ump or allied sanctioned track, these sanctioned body's should have one set of rules that everyone follows, and not have the individual track change them. That way if you go to a allied track your legal at all allied tracks, and the same for ump. So you don't have to worry if I run at tri city and then go to a different ump track if the rules are the same.
I AGREE WHAT SOME PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND IS HIGHLAND HAS MOTOR LIMIT TRICITY HAS NO CUBIC LIMIT ALL STEEL ENGINE NO ROLLER CAMS HOW DO U COMPETE WITH THAT THERE AGAIN U HAVE TO BUILD A TRICITY ONLY BMOD

racer1a, we ran these rules last year and they worked really well! The great equalizer is the gauge legal Holley, it works as a restrictor plate. The bigger the motor the worse it hurt's them! You DON'T have to build a Tri-City ONLY B-Mod to be competitive! This incorporates all of the area rules. You need to know a little more about what your saying before you post!!

KEVIN,NOT TRYIN TO PISS ANYONE OFF BUT UR TELLIN ME THAT A 602 CRATE WILL OUT RUN A OPEN STEEL MOTOR WITH SOLID LIFT CAM ,500 TWO BARREL NO WAY AT UR TRACK

Matter of fact a 602 crate did win at our track with 30 cars there!

The 602 is allowed a Holley 80541-1 650 carb.

Read up on imca, the 604 crate dominated over open motors with 4bl on both engines all season, make your car HANDLE!

Brian that's the problem a lot of people don't understand d that you don't need a ton of power to be fast. Like you said make your car handle properly and a person with a crate can beat them higher powered motors. Personal I'm not a fan of the crate motors but I see the concept behind it. Honestly if they would let the factory stocks run them with the aluminum intakes and the 4 bel carb I think it would be the way to go for them guys. I mean you can buy a crate motor for less than you can build a motor and if you do it right you can get a decent carb for the crate motor cheap and still have less invested in a built long block without the intake distributor and carb. I mean how does 550 horses do you Any good if you can't keep it on the ground? Heck what does any amount of horse power do you any good if you can't keep it on the ground? Jmo

I built the car it was not a crate engine and he was not allowed to run btown because it is a 4bar car by the way that was the same car he flipped violently at i55 and then won at granite be cause it works not from horse power

A lot of B-Mods could change carburetors and be somewhat competitive in the A Mod class. I would be willing to be on nights that Tri-City doesn't have B-Mods running, you will see 4 or 5 B-Mods running with their A-Mods.

So it was A mod at pevely and btown but a bmod at tc? That doesnt sound right.
This car was built to run as a B mod at the beginning of the year with all brand new equipment. Brian Worley built this car and did an excellent job. This car survived the flip at Pevely as an a mod earlier this year. At the beginning of the year we won eight heat races at Doe Run, St Francis, and Benton and three features in a row at Doe Run and won at Tri City at the end of the year as a B mod. Middle way through the year we started racing as an A mod at Belleville and I55. Raced at each track six nights with a steel headed 406 way under horse powered compared to the competition , Saginaw three speed, and a nine inch rear end. The only thing we changed to run as an a mod was the carb went from a two barrel to a four barrel that's it. Out of the twelve races at these two tracks made the feature 4 times at Belleville and four times at I55. Had to run the b main at I55 twice to make it in the feature the times we didn't make the feature was a result of something breaking or that flip I had. Feel free to come and look at the motor that came out of this car from last year sitting in the shop on the engine stand don't have nothing to hide. This car is just well built and handles very well horsepower is a lot of it but you have to be able to put it on the ground and be able to drive it also. We are switching it over to an A mod this year with a quick change, bert trans, schrader valve shocks, and aluminum heads on the 406 we ran last year to start this year. Thanks Tri City for giving this class a place to race just wish we knew this a little sooner. GOOD LUCK!! CAN"T MAKE EVERYBODY HAPPY!!
