What a shame

The reason it's racing related is because he is racing legend to this area for several decades. was a hero that was looked up upon by probably 100 of kids over the years. So if anything it proves that everyone is human and not perfect. But hopefully he can now be an example to anyone doing this type of stuff or thinking about doing it to get stared right. It is a shame

The reason I care is because NOT everyone wants their personal business exposed all over the internet Rusty. Do you really want people bringing up your past? Yes I have a past I sure in the hell do not want it blasted all over the place. I think first off wait and see if he is convicted you guys do not even know the whole story. Hell if this is racing related then lets start posting everyones past police record.

You said he was doing this while racing... I don't believe that he's still racing... and that your way to relate this current event to racing... But this is never going to end so this will be my last post. If I wanted drama I'd go to 4m.. they have more active members to watch argue over dumb shit than stlracing anyways.
 
His post wasn't personally at you but you seem to have taken it that way. I don't know if you have anything to hide but you sure got defensive... Dad's post was simply similar to what I've been saying, is posting people's personal problems on a racing forum really necessary? You must have more time to sit on here than I do, have a good evening Rusty.
 
Instead of bashing and acussing why don't we all pray he finds help and becomes clean and sober. And lives the rest of his life happily ever after. We all have an addiction. Racing is one of them. It just so happens to be just as expensive. Please pray for him and all addicts to find the peace they need to kick this demon.
 
I also agree it is racing related. I haven't heard that he had retired. He was pretty much a legend.

And let's face the facts, in today's society if you're known to the community and you do something illegal it's going to be talked about in the community. So don't do illegal and stupid things if you don't want it talked about. We're not talking about a divorce or a family issue.

I think what rusty is getting at is this is on kmov TV anybody who has a TV is seeing it. Thousands of people have seen it on TV and there is what a couple hundred people on this website?And it is absolutely racing related. If you can't understand that I'd just wouldn't even look at this post anymore
 
As a news reporter, I can tell you choosing what stories you report is not a choice you get to make. And since this is a site where people come for racing news, it would make sense to have this story here, as uncomfortable as it may be. I've had to report the names of family and friends in bad situations on the radio before. It's just the way it is. That being said, please remember that in the court of law, we are all innocent until proven guilty.
 
If Drug testing was a weekly Ordeal at every racing facility,we would all be shocked by the number of driver's being caught. Drug use goes from football stars to baseball player's and on and on! Addiction has no Conscience and will ruin the best of the best...just look at the history of it!!!

my suggestion is if you don't want your negative shit plastered on social media then keep your nose clean.. That's just plain and simple... You going to call and bitch to all the websites, newspapers and TV stations for airing this stuff out? It's public knowledge... This site is no different than a radio station or anything else... If he was so worried about his reputation he wouldn't have got involved in this shit.... I feel sorry for someone the 1st time in every situation but not the 2nd... Still hope he comes out of all this clean... I don't wish any bad luck toward him and wish him the best but I don't feel sorry for him... He should've learned the last time...
