Indeed, the Blues were not very crisp last night. They didn't forecheck very well, and their passing was sloppy at best. The biggest killer, however, was the faceoffs. We lost alot of faceoffs.
 
I just went to the Blues Capitals game lastnight

It was AWESOME!!!!! Me and some friends went and had a great time. Theres no other sporting event in St. louis that can even compare to a St. Louis Blues hockey game! (except dirt track racing ofcourse) They scored 45 seconds into the game and everyone was estatic the whole night, plus I got to hear the horn 4 times! gotta love that sound, Cant wait til i can go again.

The Blues played another good game against a talented team. I was hoping for a D.J. King- Donald Brashear fight but Murray did'nt dress King. Next game against Phoenix is not televised anywhere.
 
They kind of let up after their 2nd goal and it cost them again. Questionable calls by the refs cost us and put us in some bad situations but we pulled it off. The crowd was a little lacking in my opinion after we got scored on and they tied it. Seemed like the crowd had a hard time gettig noisy without the guy in the corner without the horn. Quess I'll have to go get one so I can substitue when he's not there

I'll be at the Blues/Blackhawks game this Saturday, I know the crowd will be good and loud for that one, it also should be a sell out for that game.

No TV for Tuesdays game is a bummer.

Lets go Blues, playoffs are a very realistic goal now. :)

Only certain weekday games pertain to that deal, the rest are much lesser of a discount. It is a great deal if you want tickets to one of those games though.

Went to bed half way thru the third period with the Blues up 1-0. Get up this morning and they gave up two late period goals to lose it.:mad: I'm sure Murray's happy about that one. Two fights- Jamal Mayers v.s. Daniel Carcillo and David Backes v.s. Ed Jovonoski, could'nt really tell who won these by Chris Kerber and Kelly Chase's radio account.

I didn't see/hear the game but I am sure you are right about Murray. They need to get that power play working and scoring some goals!
 
I forgot to add that Carcillo laid a nasty cheap shot on Kariya and McKee jumped him but Murray should've sent King after Carcillo. I hope the next Blues-Yotes game is televised because it could get nasty. I think the Yotes took it to the Blues physicaly last night and that should'nt happen in your own building.
 
Good article in the Post-Dispatch this morning about fighting in the NHL. Don't agree with all of Rutherford's views, but it's a good read. Tonight the Blues are in Minnesota to take on the Wild at Excel Energy Center. Word is Pavol Demitra and Marian Gaborik are back for this game which does'nt bode well for the Blues. Legace will probably get the start in goal. I hope D.J. King and Derek Boogaard drop the gloves tonight in a heavyweight tilt. Game time is 7 on FSNMW.
 
Good all-around game by the Blues last night. Ruscinsky played a great game after being benched and I can't say enough about Brad Boyes going down to block a shot in the slot. As far as the King-Boogaard fight, I call it a draw. King just can't get past Boogy's reach. Next game is Saturday at Scott trade against the Blackhawks.
 
The boy's were skating last night. Just goes to show what can happen when you attack instead of sit back. GO BLUES! See you at the game Saturday. Look for the crazy hair.
 
Hope this is'nt the trend against the Jackets this season. We played like crap against a team that really is'nt that good. I guess the good thing is the Blues don't have a game till Friday against the Hawks so Murray can whip them back into shape.
