Rumors circulating around the track last Sat. that the track is sold to a developer for a truck stop.Closing as early as next month.Anything to it?

I was informed this morning that Mel has built a 1/10th mile dirt track off turn 1 at MCS.Apparently the options are open as to what is run there (go carts,etc.) but it's my understanding Mel would like to rent or lease this out for such events and have as little to do with it as...

DEI without Junior certainly wasn't the vision Dale Sr. had.I hope to see Junior hook up with Richard Childress,too bad he can't take the number "8" with him. JMO

Got an email urging everyone not to buy any gas for ONE day....May 15. I know this is far a fetched endeavor to send a message to the oil companies,but I know I won't be buying any that day.

Gas went up to $3.19 / gallon for regular unleaded this morning in St.Charles County. Was $2.92 earlier today.What a jump in price.I just can't understand,but I guess we're not suppose to ask questions....either pay it or walk.:mad:
