07-08 Blues thread

The Blues just aquired hometown boy Cam Janssen from the Devils for Bryce Salvador. If the Blues have King and Janssen in the line up together, they might not win many games but they'll win all their fights.:D

Not a happy Blues fan here I really like Salvador.

Not a happy Blues fan here either. I think the moves they made were terrible, and the team just doesn't care anymore! Coach needs to light a fire under everyones butt. They don't deserve to make the playoffs playing the way they are. The only person that is playing well is Manny, and he doesn't have any help in front of him. There is no reason with the talented players they have that they should be playing this crappy. I'm not a huge Jackman fan, and he hasn't done anything except rack up ice time since his last injury. He just doesn't impress me and why they signed him to 4 more years is beyond me. Oh well, just my 2 cents worth.

Boy oh boy. The blues dominated the first 2 periods last night. How the puck doesnt go in some times for us is unbelievable. I am still shaking my head it just cant happen. I told my buddy that went with me that after we had those 2 goals that didnt go in in the first period we were in trouble. Then after the same thing in the second I told him we were going to loose because every time that happens the other team comes back with some flukky goal and it just snow balls from there. I must be a phrophet or a fortune teller cause it went down just like I said. The refs didnt help our cause much in the 3rd either. Oh well we'll just have to see how the rest of the home stand go's. They have to turn this around before they hit the road or their finished.GET SOME FRIGGING GOALS BLUES, LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They played good hockey for 2 periods and then tanked it in the third. I did'
nt like Murray's line combinations last night either. Janssen when he does get in the line up will be a heat seeking missle and maybe that will inspire the guy's that do have talent. Their playoff hopes are just about gone imo.

I look for Murray to start Janssen and King on a line tonight to get things rolling. Janssen will probably drop them them with Carcillo. The Blues are still only 6 points out of a playoff spot so we'll see if Cam can bring some energy to the rest of the guy's. Kariya need's to step it up.

I agree with that, lately he hasnt shot the puck to save his life, seems like he could have no keeper and still miss the net or screw with it to long and loose it. I might have all 3 seats for tonight available if somebody wants them I can email them. it will cost you a beer down the road cause there is a service charge to do that

Well, another lackluster game by the Bluesers! They just can't get it together and they can't do anything in the 3rd period for sure. They are getting so many shots on goal and not getting any in. Knowing they are falling farther and farther out of the playoff picture AGAIN, they don't show any motivation or desperation on their part to try and change it at all. Murray doesn't seem to have an answer either, and if he doesn't know what's going on, then that's not good either. I like Murray, but he needs to get across to these guys somehow or something. Just my 2 cents worth.

It'll be a true miracle if the Blues make the playoffs after last nights showing. They can't get even one lucky bounce and fire a ton of shots. The bad thing about it, Cam Janssen had the best scoring chances unless you call Kariya missing an open net the best. This just is'nt the Blues year to get back to the playoffs.

I want to say that if they keep playing like they are that all these chances have to start to go our way, but on the other hand who knows. I doubt there is any other team in the leauge that has this luck. Once again a bogus call by the refs snowballed into a mess for us. Oh well cant give up cause quitters never win. GO BLUESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. see you all at the game Saturday night.

what's that i hear? the 'fat lady' is warming up her vocal chords! they are done, guys an gals! i don't know why blues management thinks they need another goon on the roster! they need a finesse player; not a fighter that has only scored 1 goal this year. geez!

problem is our finesse players ARE NOT GETTING THE JOB DONE, have you really watched lately. Kariya cant shoot the puck to save his AZZ. I dont even think you can count on 2 hands how many open nets Kariya has missed in the last 4 games. Cam Jannsen had 2 of our better chances last night. Why? Cause he crashes the net and forces the issue and hes bigger than Kariya and McDonald so hes harder to stop Now if the guys would follow him in and pick up the rebounds we might see some more goals. I'll say it again we are getting the chances but the puck is just not going in. Remember the games we had 5 goals in, Theyre not playing any different the pucks were just getting in the net.

i hear ya, but if i was a hockey coach, i would want several paul kariyas on my team more than a team full of d.j. kings and cam jannsens. yes, i know you need a tough guy on the team to keep the other team honest; but, let's be honest... i dunno how many goals kariya has this year, but i bet it's a truckload more than jannsen, who has 1 goal. i am not slamming any of the players, because they are out there doing what i am not doing. i am just saying the blues need goals scored; not punches thrown. that's all.

Right at this point of the season I'd settle for punches thrown.;) At least there would be a little bit of excitement.

I agree but the blues have the reputation of being able to be pushed around. My son Is in school up in NJ and all the East Coast commentators are commenting on how teams know they can push our little guys around and keep them from scoring. Other than Walt what other big forward do we have that can stand in front of the net and not be pushed out. One reason Jannsen has only 1 goal is that hes been out since the beginning of the year with a shoulder injury and has just been recently cleared to play. Give him a chance, once again the commentators who have seen him play on a regular basis up East are saying we got the better of the deal. He's young fast and aggressive. Murray will settle him down and I think you will be suprised.

The Blues are only 6 points out of a playoff spot. They still have a chance. Looking at the standings things have changed a lot over the last month. The Wings had such a lead that I'm sure a lot of people were thinking that they had first place raped up. The Stars are only three points out of first place you just never know.

I get so agervatted (sp) when the Blues play like the do but can't get any goals. There are 18 games left to play anything can happen. I'm not giving up on them till there is no chance they will make the playoffs.
