We had rain all around us last night but we were able to get the Nickel Race in and it was huge. A big crowd showed up and hundreds of kids grabbed over $1,000 worth of nickels. Some of the real lucky kids took home bikes, scooters, TV's, and all kinds of other electronic goodies.
Super job...
Matt's mother, Diane Meier, passed away over the weekend following a long illness.
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Matt and his family. His mom was a great racefan and will be missed on the front straight where she sat with Matt's dad each time he raced the #80 Pure Stock.

If you have the time, and since we're all rained out, please help the strom victims.
We all should be grateful if our home, business, or community made it through the night undamaged. Many did not. Seeing your house on TV after a bad storm is not a good thing. Hope Kaiser made out OK. His...
Look out Schrader fans, Kenny is on a roll. 33rd at Fontana, 22nd at Martinsville.
If he keeps this pace up ........and can finish on the lead lap.........he should win the Cup race at Texas or Talladega.
Go Kenny!!!!!!

Herzog, Weber, Harrison, and Shaw have all raced our local tracks weekly in 2010and even Schlenk showed up a time or two. If I'm not mistaken he won the first LM feature at Belle Clair.
For people to complain about the level of racing we have in this area, to me, holds no merit whatsoever...
To all the racers, racettes, race fans, race promoters, racetrack workers, and racetrack officials....................

It's official, I-55 will be open for the Summer Nationals tomorrow night!
Please note, to give the track crew time to work with the outer pit areas, they are advising travelers, and anyone planning on arriving early, that the pit gates will not be open until around 3:00 PM.
